The new couple woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. Both of them always complained that sleep was hard to come by. Even if they were exhausted it didn't translate to their body.

That all changed in one night. Both of them slept soundly in each other's arms. Olivia felt protected and safe. She felt that no harm would come her way as long as he was around.

Fitz felt like a new man. He found his equal. She made him want to be better. She made him want more in life. He felt whole.

The couple showered together. They didn't have sex, but it was an erotic shower. There was touching and caressing. More than that there was love.

They got ready like an old married couple who had been doing the same dance for years. As friends they never got ready in the same bathroom.

They went downstairs and made a light breakfast and watched the news together. They left Olivia's apartment together. Fitz helped Olivia in her car and kissed her. He told her to have a good day, and watched until she was gone.

Olivia was the first one in the office. She had a lot of work to do since she got nothing done the day before. Since it was a Monday Olivia knew she would be busy most of the day.

Once everyone arrived in the office they brought her up to speed on their current cases. Olivia's firm consisted of Harrison Wright, Quinn Perkins, Abby Whelan, and Huck. Quinn & Huck handled all of their background investigations, IT, and anything else that was needed of them. Abby & Harrison were in the field most of the time interviewing clients & witnesses.

Olivia worked hard and made a name for herself. Olivia's parents were both lawyers and owned several firms. Although both of her parents retired recently and sold their firms they were still shareholders and were on the board. They had done well for themselves and were self-made millionaires.

Olivia was fortunate that her parents never forced their children to become lawyers. They allowed all of them to find their niche. Her brother Eric who was the oldest at 39 and was a cardiologist. She was the middle baby. Her sister Kenya recently turned 31 and owned her own marketing firm. All of them worked hard in their professions. They were all worth millions and they all earned it the hard way.

Olivia was a giver by nature so when she decided to open the firm with the group that she had most questioned what was she thinking. She went to law school with Abby, but Abby had no filter and was loud. Abby had been turned down for jobs for fear that she wouldn't connect with the client. Harrison had legal troubles that his parent's firm helped him out with. Olivia knew he was smart and just needed to channel it into something positive. Huck was homeless. One day someone try to mug her and Huck saved her. Since that day she would feed him and check on him. One day they talked and she found out his background and decided to help him out. Quinn applied to work for Fitz, but she wasn't a good fit for his firm but after talking to her he called Olivia who hired her.

Fitz really was the only one that supported her from the day that she opened up her firm. She worked for her parents for a bit, but hated being a lawyer. Her parents thought she should practice a little more before branching out. Fitz helped her to find her office. He gave her the start-up money so she didn't have to take out a loan. He insisted. He joked that he was worth billions so he was as good as a bank.

Once everyone seen the team she put together they thought Olivia had lost her mind. Olivia even considered not opening until Fitz showed up, and told her that the only failure would be not to try. Good thing she did because she was successful from day one.

Olivia wrapped up the meeting and told her team she would be in her office most of the day working.

Abby stopped by to let her know she would be out most of the day. Abby knew that Olivia didn't discuss her personal life a lot, but she had to know something.

Abby asked, "So did you get a chance to talk to Fitz?"

Olivia looked up. For the first time Abby looked at her best friend. She looked at peace. She looked content. There was no stress or tension showing.

Olivia nodded, "I did. I took your advice so thank you. I know you think that I ignored what you said before I left, but I didn't. We are a couple."

Abby wanted to jump and scream but she remained composed, "What about you having a baby?"

Olivia said nothing at first then she looked up at Abby smiling, "We will start trying to get pregnant the first of the year."

Abby smiled, "I'm happy for you Liv. Everybody deserves a little bit of happy. After all that you have given us I am glad that it is finally your turn."

Quinn knocked on her door. Olivia looked up and realized it was almost one in the afternoon.

Olivia told her to come in.

In Quinn's hands was a flower arrangement.

Olivia smiled. Fitz was the only man who ever sent her flowers that she liked. Everyone assumed that you could never go wrong with red roses or even orchids. They were not Olivia's favorites. In front of her was an arrangement of Lillies of the valley and purple roses. Olivia had tears in her eyes. She remembered one day they were messing around on the computer. They looked up what roses meant. When she saw that purple roses meant enchantment she told him that if a man ever sent her purple roses he was the one, because it would mean that he loved her and thought their love was magical.

She was about to open the card when she noticed that Quinn sat a bag down as well that she didn't notice. She looked and noticed it was from one of her favorite restaurants called Founders Farmers.

In the bag was Olivia's favorites. There was crisp apple brie, chicken pot pie, chicken salad, and a slice of red velvet cake.

Olivia opened the card and she couldn't stop the tears from falling as she read the card that was with the flowers. It read:

"When I woke up this morning I wanted to ask God what I had done right so I could continue to do it over and over again. From the moment you agreed to be with me my world became so much better. You are everything to me and you have been for some time. I want you to know that I believe that our love is magical, and I am madly in love with you. I promise to love and cherish you. You will never doubt if you made the right choice to be with me. I am your best friend, your lover, and your boyfriend. One day soon I will be your husband and the father of your children, and I can't wait because I know that there is no one better than you. You are everything Livvie. I'm sorry it took me so long, but I promise from here on out that you will never be alone again. I know you are swamped with being out of the office yesterday. I bet you just realized the time so enjoy lunch. I got your favorites. It was practice for when I am feeding you and baby. Love you always Fitz"

On the other side of town Fitz was responding to some emails. Teddy was in court all morning so they didn't have a chance to talk.

Teddy came in with lunch for the both of them, but noticed that Fitz had been out. He also noticed how calm his brother was. He looked the same but at the same time he didn't.

Fitz was the older of the two. Teddy had recently turned 30, but Teddy couldn't ask for a better brother. When Teddy told him that he wanted to be a lawyer too Fitz sat him down and told him that if that is what he really wanted he was proud of him, and would support him 100%. Teddy assured Fitz it was what he wanted and Fitz supported him from beginning to end.

Fitz worked at a law firm owned by one of his parent's friends until Teddy passed the bar. Shortly after they worked together to open their first firm. Also they were the heirs to Grant oil and although their family was worth billions they had no desire to live off their parents. They worked everyday like normal people. They now had three firms. They ran the D.C. office, and they had offices in Virginia and Maryland.

Teddy knew that his brother was a hard worker by nature, but he worked too much. He knew it was to mask the pain, but he hoped that would change soon.

Teddy knocked to let Fitz know it was him. Fitz looked up and smiled at his brother.

Fitz said, "What's up bro? How was court today?"

Teddy shrugged, "It was fine. Everything was settled. The case is closed. On to another client. What's up with you? You look a lot better. Have you talked to my sister?"

Fitz smiled and before he could answer his office phone rang. Fitz smiled when he seen the number and answered, "How is my sexy hard-working girlfriend doing?"

It was meant more for Teddy than Olivia. Teddy was speechless, and before he could say something he heard Olivia.

"Well I was working so hard that time passed me by, but then I got arrangements from my boyfriend who I am absolutely in love with. If that wasn't enough he knew me so well that he fed me my favorites."

Fitz laughed, "That is what I'm here for. Why don't you enjoy your lunch? Quinn said you still have a lot of files to go through. I know you won't get done till six or seven so stay with me tonight. I'll take care of dinner. You have a change of clothes in the other room. This weekend we will both pack up stuff to have at each other's place okay."

Olivia was happy and content and you could hear it, "Sounds good baby. I'll see you tonight. Love you."

Fitz smiled, "Love you to Livvie"

By the time the couple ended the call Teddy was sitting down. He always wondered what it would be like to see them happy whether they were together or not. As he listened to them he had no words.

Fitz was waiting for his brother to say something sarcastic or funny. He hated emotional moments, but as he looked at Teddy nothing came out. Actually what he saw scared him. He saw tears in the corner of Teddy's eyes.

Fitz came to sit beside his brother, "Teddy what's wrong? You are scaring me."

Teddy came around, "No I'm fine. It's weird. I've been waiting for this day to come. A day where you both were happy. Where life was more than working cases and taking care of family. Still hearing you both just a moment ago was so surreal. You sound and look happy. You look at peace and I bet she is the same. So you guys talked it all out."

Fitz nodded, "We did bud. I took your advice. I am and have been in love with Livvie for some time. We both have and we admitted it last night. We talked to our parents by video chat. They were both happy. She is not going to do the IVF. We are going to enjoy being a couple for the next six months. In January we will stop all birth control so we can conceive a child together. I'm gonna marry her. She is going to be your sister."

Teddy smiled and hugged his bother, "I'm happy. You both deserve it. Mom called me last night to tell me about them moving to Maryland. She said with the twins getting older and hopes of you settling down they wanted to be closer. I guess she figured we hadn't talk which is why she didn't tell me about the chat."

Fitz said, "Probably, I didn't tell them not to tell you. I'm glad she allowed me to tell you. Thank you. I love the twins, but I really want my own. The chance to have them with the love of my life makes it even more special."

Teddy agreed.

The rest of the week was busy for Fitz & Olivia. One night they decided that during the week they would stay at Fitz's house because it was close to their offices and on the weekends they would stay at Olivia's apartment. They decided they would put her apartment on the market first.

Friday night came and it was the night of their first date as a couple. Olivia was nervous. Fitz told her that she should wear something nice. He preferred a dress since she wore primarily pant suits at work.

Olivia decided to give him what he wanted. She recently purchased a Herve Leger crisscross Metallic Bandage Dress. She found a pair of Jimmy Choos that went well with the dress. She also straightened her hair. Normally it was full or curls or she wore it up. Her make up looked natural. She had to admit she looked good and felt good.

As she walked into the living room she became nervous. Of course she had been on plenty of dates, but this one felt different.

Fitz looked up and he was stunned. Every time he tried to speak nothing would come out. He cleared his throat to speak.

Fitz said, "Livvie you look stunning. You are so beautiful. I am glad that you are with me tonight."

Olivia smiled, "Thank you. I'm glad to be with you tonight. I don't want to be with anyone else."

Olivia use to always tell him that the men she dated never listened to her. When they took her out often times they would do things they liked especially Jake. Tonight Fitz vowed to make this first date all about her hence their first stop.

Fitz took Olivia to First Friday. On the first Friday of every month the Dupoint galleries opened and you were able to enjoy art, wine, and snacks. Olivia loved art so he knew that she would love this and he was right.

The look on Olivia's face said it. Olivia smiled and leaned up to kiss him.

Olivia said, "Many of my clients have talked about this. They always told me I would enjoy this so thank you."

Fitz smiled, "Anything for you. I want you to always be happy."

She hugged him, "Me to baby. I want you to be happy and know that I was worth the wait."

Fitz looked her in the eye, "I know you were worth the wait."

She smiled. They had a good time at the galleries. They socialized with other couples, and had a great time.

Neither of them could remember the last time they had this much fun. They ran into one of Olivia's clients. She introduced her husband to Olivia. He thanked her profusely for helping his wife. Olivia introduced Fitz as her boyfriend, and he wore it like a badge of honor.

The couple gushed over how brilliant Olivia was. In the past her dates and boyfriends hated that, but not Fitz. Not only did he agree with them he told them she was smarter than him which kind of surprised Olivia. He told the couple that she was his everything, and she could slay dragons better than him on any given day.

By the time the conversation was over the husband asked for Olivia's business card. He was in early negotiations of a merger. They spoke for a few minutes. Olivia told him she would be glad to help. They agreed to talk more next week. The couple said their good-byes and they left. Fitz had to get them to their dinner reservation.

Fitz had reserved them a table at Bourbon Steak DC. Both of them had been there for business lunches, but never for dinner. So Fitz thought it would be a good time to try it out. Both of them loved food so he thought this would be a good time for them to try it.

Fitz had called ahead of time to order their wine because he wanted to make sure they would have it.

The waitress came to the table with the wine. Fitz sampled the wine and approved. The waitress poured them each a glass and left them alone to look over the menu. When Olivia tasted the wine she looked up at Fitz in shock.

Olivia asked, "You didn't"

Fitz laughed, "I didn't"

Olivia turned the bottle so she could see the label. In front of her was a bottle of 2008 Pensfolds Grande, South Australia Shiraz. A bottle of this wine cost $1450.00.

Olivia was shocked. She wasn't sure what to say. No man had ever catered to her like Fitz had. She loved it but was overwhelming at the same time. It was just different for her.

Fitz grabbed her hand, "You are my queen and as long as we are together you will be treated like that. You know I'm not one to throw money around, but with me I plan on giving you the world. Money is no object. I'm not saying that everything will be over the top but I am saying that with you I don't care what the price tag is. When we have kids it is the same way. Before you say it, I know why we are together. You don't see dollar signs when you see me. It is why I love you so much, and look forward to spoiling you because you don't expect it. When we get married there will be no pre-nup. I'm not entering my marriage with a contract."

Olivia finally looked up at him. He could tell she was getting her emotions under control so he allowed her a moment.

Olivia spoke, "I just have to get use to being treated like this. As my friend you have always said great things about me, but hearing you praise me now that I am your partner was an overwhelming feeling. That man wants to work with me because of my man. It is an overwhelming but great feeling. As long as you know that I am in love with Fitz the man not Fitz Grant the billionaire I will always accept what you do for me out of love. Thank you for the wine. It is a nice treat. I'm glad to enjoy it with you."

Fitz leaned over and kissed her, "You are welcome baby. We will enjoy a lot of things together. For the record he is going to hire you because he is a smart man. You already helped his wife. He knows you can close the deal for him. You are my equal, and it is the truth you are smarter than me."

The couple sat and talked about everything and nothing while enjoying their wine and chilled lobster carpaccio.

For dinner Olivia had Mahi Mahi with salt baked potato and creamed spinach. Fitz ordered their filet mignon with twice baked potato, cauliflower, and black truffle mac & cheese. The couple was in their own world as they lovingly shared their meal with each other.

For dessert the couple shared a warm maple orange bread pudding with lemon-buttermilk ice cream.

Once they finished their desert Fitz pulled a box out of his coat pocket and slid it over to Olivia.

Fitz looked at her and she could see the emotions in his eyes, "I love you. I don't take it lightly that you have opened up your heart to me. It has always been an honor to be your friend, but it is a privilege to be your man, your future husband, and the father of your children. I may not always get it right, but if I don't I'll fix it. I hope that you feel like we are in this together, and there is nothing that we can't accomplish. I've always given you gifts and done things for you and loved it. You are my best friend. You were always there for me, but now as your man everything that I do for you no matter how big or small I want you to know it comes from a place of love. I hope that you trust me because I trust you with everything that I have and my heart is yours. I bought you this; when you wear it I hope you will always remember this night and the beginning of a great relationship."

Olivia caressed his face and smiled.

She unwrapped the box and noticed that it was from Tiffany's & Co so she knew it was something nice. She opened the case and silent tears fell down her face as she looked at the jewelry.

Fitz had purchased her a Tiffany Enchant heart line platinum and diamond bracelet. She needed a moment to compose herself so she took it out of the case and handed it to Fitz. She stuck her wrist out. He put it on and then he kissed her wrist.

Olivia looked up, "I was a coward. I was a coward to date all those other men and not wait for you. A part of me is mad at myself, but I realize that by dating Jake, Edison, and those other men here and there that I will never ever have better. You are it for me and I am more than okay with that. The last week or so has been the best time in my adult life. I actually look forward to waking up. I look forward to seeing what the day holds. I all of a sudden want to try things and see what the world is like outside of OPA. I want to do those things with you. I promised myself I wouldn't settle. I wanted to find a man like my daddy. One who worked hard at his job, but worked harder at being a great dad and husband. With you I know I have found my soul mate. I love you and I promise to share all of me with you. I trust you baby. I always have, and I promise you have my heart. You've had it for years."

Olivia got up and walked over to Fitz. She leaned down and gave him the most gentle but passionate kiss he has ever shared with anyone.

He was a little shocked at first because Olivia hated PDA so it caught him off guard, but she had been affectionate with him all night even at the gallery.

Olivia pulled back and smiled, "PDA is not fun when you don't have that all consuming love. With you I do so I'm not afraid for anyone to see it."

Fitz pulled her in his lap and hugged her. She could tell that he was taking all of this in. He was making sure that what was happening was real.

Olivia whispered, "It's real and we are real. I am not going anywhere. I promise. You are stuck with me."

Fitz pulled back and laughed, "Good because I would have it no other way."

The couple finished up their wine and left the restaurant happy. Tonight solidified them as a couple. What they had was real. It wasn't lust and they were ready.
