When he walked down a street, he couldn't help but smile like a maniac. She was everything he could think about. When he was at the shooting range, he thought about her sharp eyes and her laughter. When he was reading a boring report, he smiled because he remembered how funny she was at six in the morning. She wasn't a morning person but he didn't care. She was precious to him either way. Some of his co-workers had started to complain lately that he wrote her first name combined with his surname on important files. (He had promised to stop, but – damn! – it looked good!) When he saw her somewhere at work, he walked over to kiss her or to tell her how good she looked. He never stopped talking about her – and he knew that some people thought that the ghost of a certain late brigadier general had possessed his body since even the pudding in the mess hall knew that she belonged to him. Yes, this time, everything felt like it was supposed to – and she had no scary fingernails she could use to stab him.
So … he was a little bit nervous as he met her in the restaurant for dinner. But as he got closer to the table where she waited for him, he started to relax. It was just her after all and she was his girlfriend. He shouldn't worry that much. He sat down, kissed her cheek to say hello and lay down one of the files in front of her.
"You have to admit that it looks good," he stated.
She raised an eyebrow. "Yes, it does," she replied.
"So … would you agree to change your signature to Rebecca Havoc?"
"Yes, I agree."
"Fine," he smiled and slipped on the ring.
Have another little bit HavocxRebecca and a merry Christmas!
