Author's Note:

Alright, I'd like to star over. This is my first time putting my fan fiction online. It's a big step for me since I'm pretty picky with my own writing. I've been writing since the 9th grade, and I have never finished a story. I would like to change that! Maybe having complete strangers looking forward to new developments in my stories will motivate me to keep writing. And that's all I'm aiming for; motivation, any type of feedback, and the opportunity to entertain you.

Cinderella and Adventure Time do not belong to me, neither do any settings where these scenes take place. Please enjoy! Reviews, suggestions, and advice are all welcome!

Chapter One:

Awakening

"You were not destined to see the light of day."

Cinderella awakens with a start; her alarm clock had been blaring for about ten minutes now. She hits the button that dismisses the alarm, and then makes her bed. She takes a seat for a moment to ponder over her chores for the day, just as she does every morning.

"Oh, let's see... the horses need to be fed and groomed, breakfast needs to be prepared. What is today? Ah! Friday! So the laundry must be washed and hanged, the sheets need to be changed and I get to venture out into the market!"

With a stern face and her strong will, Cinderella plants her bare feet firmly on the wooden floor. It's about time she made her way upstairs to the kitchen. The old floors creek noisily in protest as Cinderella leaves her bed for the door across the room.

Click-click. "Oh!" Click-click. Click! "That's strange... the door, it seems-" Click-click! Click-click-click! "It seems to be stuck! Has no one come to unlock the door?"

Cinderella heads to the conveniently large window sitting above her bed. She unlocks the hinges and tugs on the door with all of her might. "Mph! Why won't these doors bu- OH!"

Cinderella shrieks in surprise as heaps of dirt and mud burst through the window and spill out onto the bed and her night-gown. Angry tears stream down Cinderella's round cheeks. "Who in the world would do such a lowly thing?" She strikes the weak wall with her tiny fists and more dirt pours in from the freshly made hole. "Oh, now look what I've done!"

Seeing that there was no way out of this predicament she'd found herself in, the frustrated Cinderella hurls herself off of her bed and sinks to the floor. At this point, she is sobbing for what could be hours before falling into a deep slumber. That is when the voices come to her, when the walls become eyes and ears.

"I know who has done this to you..."

Chapter End.

Well, thank you for reading and I hope you'll come back for the next chapter. Be sure to leave any kind of comment. Advice would be the most helpful right now. If you have any suggestions for how I could avoid using a few repeating words, will you please let me know? Until next Thursday :)
