Saturday, January the 21st (two days before John's death)

He was his usual self. Woke up at seven-thirty, coffee (black, two sugars), newspaper, showered and dressed and ready to make his way over to Sherlock's flat by nine o'clock. This was really how every weekend went, especially since our gorgeous daughter moved out. We didn't really see her anymore. Oh his way to Sherlock, John slipped on ice. Typical of my husband really, completely expected. He injured his leg and text Sherlock to ask for assistance. Of course Sherlock rushed to John's aid and escorted John back to his flat. Contrary to popular belief, Sherlock Holmes was the greatest friend John could've ever asked for.

Sherlock then sent me a text, announcing that John had no choice but to stay the night, and I was invited to join the two. I declined politely as my days of having no fear (especially over something like ice), were long gone, and I'd much rather stay in the warmth of my home. Sherlock understood.

Besides, I believed the boys needed a day to themselves anyway.

According to Sherlock, who kept me updated on John hourly, the two men spent their day tracking down the illegal transportation of government files. I wasn't surprised, the case did not sound exciting, much like the others the boys had gained recently. Mr Holmes and Dr Watson were simply just getting too old to take on more active 'games'.

Mrs Hudson, god bless her, was a great help to John. He hadn't damaged his leg too much, possibly just a sprained ankle.

Sherlock was explaining that as Mrs Hudson was in her seventies now, and extremely fragile, carrying tea up the stairs was a fairly difficult task. I felt sorry for her if I'm honest. John Watson should not be her responsibility.

John crashed on the couch, well, where Sherlock left him. Sherlock, slept on his armchair, to watch over John as he slept, to make sure he was ok and to help him if he needed anything during the night.

Sherlock didn't sleep well that night. John however, slept like a rug.

I assume that's the day. Their little bromance... And tracking illegal files.
