What seemed to be minutes in his feverish haze felt as if it were a dream come true. There was not much to remember; the buzzing of strange machines in a white room, a warm meal, as much sleep as he could have under warm and comforting blankets, and the voices of other people. They were not harsh voices, but soft comforting voices that he could not understand.
He knew that it could not be more then just a dream. There was no possible chance that he could have begged to be rescued and taken away from that place. Slowly, he opened his eyes, blinking a few times before finding his dream was his reality. His body was sore as he slowly sat up, taking in the new surroundings. Although the lights had been dimmed, he could see that the room was white and the floors a creamy marble color. The room, for the most part, was plain. The only points of interest he could find were the machines behind him and the window off to the corner. It did not take him long to decide that he wanted, no, needed to see where he was and that the machines had been attached to him.
For a moment, he panicked from the wires to his chest, but it did not take him long to find out he could easily take them off himself, until one of the machines went off like an alarm making a long, spine chilling beep. He began to panic once more as he tried to get out of the bed, only to find one last wire in his arm. His face paled. The wire was in his arm. There was no way to take it out! As he tried to cut the cord out himself, two women appeared at the door, looking almost shocked as they saw him out of the bed.
The women were quick to approach him, speaking softly as they tried to calm him. He still could not understand them, but was able to pick up two words that the man had used often, "Go back."
His mind began to race. Where they going to send him back? Was that man in the building too? He could not go back. He had to find his friends, his family. He needed to know that Nami was okay. "Get off me!" he growled trying to push them away as he cornered himself, trying to pull away from the last wire as they came closer once again taking hold of his arm as he quickly struggled, pushing them away with what strength he had left. "I won't go back. I can't! You can't make me!" he cried as a third nurse appeared, his body trembling as he saw the syringe she carried, his eyes widening as the two nurses quickly held him down as he continued to struggle. "I don't wanna go back! Please stop! Let me go!" he cried as the third nurse approached. Quickly, his eyes closed, not wanting to see what would come next.

"Oi!" a voice called into the room. The three nurses stopped and looked to the voice. Slowly, Usopp looked his eyes to see a young girl. She was not dressed like the other women, but a black sweatshirt. He watched her as she spoke to the nurses as they seemed to talk back to her, pointing to him as if they were trying to explain something to the girl as she barked back to them. They became silent slowly backing away and letting the girl though to him.
"Are you alright?" she asked softly, calmly. For a moment he staid silent, she was the first one to speak to him in words he could understand. Slowly, Usopp nodded as the girl smiled as she stood, offering her hand to him as he took him and slowly stood. "They just wanted you to get back into bed," she explained softly as he slowly took a seat on the bed, his body lightly trembling. The girl sat next to him as her hand rested gently on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. He jumped slightly, looking to her. "They want to know why you were trying to get out of bed. They say that you are not in the best condition to be moving around a lot," she explained to him.
"I… I wanted to see where I am," Usopp explained, not sure how to tell her the whole story. Before he could continue she stopped him and nodded with a smile as she turned to the nurses, speaking in that strange language again. One of the nurses sighed softly as she spoke, approaching Usopp once more. He began to back away, but looked to the girl beside him as she patted his shoulder. "She needs you to give her your arm so she can take the needle out," the girl explained to him before pointing to a clear bag hanging on the other side of the bed as she began to explain, "You were dehydrated when you first came in, so they used that to help cure it. The only way for it to work is a needle in your arm."
He nodded with a shaky sigh as he gave the nurse his arm. The nurse was quick to remove the needle and put a bandage over the spot that was bleeding before the nurse spoke again. Usopp quickly turned to the girl, hoping for a translation. "She said that you need to drink lots of water. If you don't, she'll have to poke you with that needle again," she told him as he nodded.

Time slowly passed. The nurses left slowly, wanting to make sure that Usopp was going to fine. It was not long before the nurses had also brought him a warm meal and had offered some to his translator, but she assured the nurse that she was fine, but had to leave for a short time. He watched her go, hoping to see her back soon.
After he had finished his meal, he stood from his bed once more. The machines were turned off, leaving him in silence as he made his way to the window, kneeling on the small couch. In the darkness, he could see houses in the distance, their lights glowing like the stars above. With a soft sigh, he rested his head on the window sill. His crew mates coming to mind, only knowing that they were out there. They were out there somewhere. Darkness began to take over again as his eyes grew heavy as he fell fast asleep once more.
