"Marshall, huh?" Chase asked. "I haven't really met you before. Are you a stray?"

"No. No. I'm not a stray. I actually live in the town's Fire Department with my mom and dad." Marshall said. "What about you Chase?"

"I'm not a stray either. I live in that lookout tower over there with my owner Ryder, his dad, and my parents." Chase said pointing at the lookout.

"Woah! AWESOME!" Marshall said admiring the tower. "You must be some cool pup."

"Th...thanks!" Chase said with a red face.

As the two talk some more, Ryder shows up.

"Chase? What's taking you?" Ryder said as he also notices that Chase was with another pup. "Oh. Hello there little pup."

"Umm...hi." Marshall said a little shy.

"Ryder, this is Marshall. I just met him. He was the one who found our ball." Chase said.

"Nice to meet you Marshall. Do you want to play with us Marshall?" Ryder asked.

"Sure." Marshall said excited.

"Ok. Catch you two." Ryder said

Ryder than threw the ball and Chase and Marshall go after it.

"Ruff! I got it." Chase said.

"No I got it...woah!" Marshall said, but as he did, he started to trip and tumbled and fell on Chase.

"Are you two ok?" Ryder asked the two pups.

"I'm good." Marshall said. "But what about you Chase?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." Chase said.

Ryder laughed a bit. At the moment, Ryder's dad as well an adult male German Shepherd came by. The German Shepherd was named Bullet, Chase's dad.

"There you are, Ryder and Chase." Said Ryder's Dad.

"Hey Dad." Said Ryder.

"You guys having fun?" Bullet asked.

"Yes sir." Chase said to his dad.

"I told you Chase, call me dad." Bullet said.

"Right. Sorry Dad, sir." Chase said.

"Just Dad will do." Bullet said to his serious son. "Also, who is this pup with you?"

"My name is Marshall, sir." Marshall said to Bullet. "Are you Chase's dad?"

"Yes I am." Bullet said.

"Marshall says his dad helps out with the town's Fire Department." Chase explained to his dad.

"The Fire Department, huh? Then the pup must be his son." Bullet thought to himself.

"So Chase, want to play some more?" Marshall asked.

As Marshall asked, they all heard a howl.

"Huh? Who's that howling?" Ryder asked.

"That's my Dad's howl." Marshall said. "Guess he's calling me to come home."

"So, you have to go?" Chase asked.

"Yeah. Sorry." Marshall said a little down.

Chase was also down about it.

"Hey. Maybe we'll see each other again." Marshall said looking up.

"Yeah. You're right and maybe we could hang out some more." Chase said wagging his tail.

"I'd like that. Well, see ya." Marshall said then he was on way. But also happen to trip and tumbled again.

"Are you ok?" Ryder and Chase said.

"Hehe! I'm good." Marshall responded.

Everyone kind laughed a bit. Marshall got up again and was on his way. Chase watched him go and felt a little bit disappointed that they didn't get to play more. Ryder and the others also went back home to the lookout. Ryder was talking to his dad about future plans for Adventure Bay, while Chase was with his dad and his mother, Crystal.

"So Chase, your dad tells me that you made a new friend?" Crystal asked.

"Umm...kind of. I'm not sure." Chase said.

"Not sure? I saw you having fun with the young Dalmatian pup." Bullet said. "I haven't seen you that happy in a while since your older brothers were still here."

"I guess you can say that, sir." Chase said.

"It's dad. Call me dad." Bullet protested to his son.

"Sorry Dad, sir." Chase said. Bullet signed while Crystal giggled.

"So serious. He gets that from you." Crystal says to Bullet.

"Anyway, Marshall was his name, right?" Bullet said.

"Yeah." Chase responded.

"You also said that his dad was part of the town's Fire Dept?" Bullet said.

"Yeah Dad, sir." Chase responded. Bullet ignored the "sir" part.

"Bullet, you don't think that..." Crystal asked.

"Yep. It's got to be "his" son." Bullet said with a smirk.

"Huh? Do you know Marshall's dad, sir?" Chase asked.

Now, let us see how Marshall is doing in the Fire Department. Currently, the people working there are pretty busy, while Marshall was chewing on a bone lying next to his mom, Dottie and with his dad, Blazer. Marshall was just finish talking about his day and meeting Chase.

"...and he lives in this cool lookout tower. It's looked so awesome." Marshall said to his parents.

"Sounds like you got a new friend now, Marshall." Dottie said happy for her son.

"Maybe...I don't know." Marshall said looking unsure.

"What do you mean, son?" Blazer asked.

"It's just that I tripped a few times. Maybe he thinks I'm just too clumsy." Marshall said.

"So you trip a few times. There's nothing wrong with that." Blazer said.

"That and this Chase pup sounds like a nice pup." Dottie said.

"Also, you said that he was a German Shepherd and you also met his dad too?" Blazer asked.

"Yeah...for a few seconds." Marshall said.

"Then it must be Bullet." Blazer said.

"So you know him?" Marshall asked.

"You can say that. So, Chase is Bullet's son." Blazer said.

"Your dad and Chase's dad happen to know each other, not too long ago." Dottie said.

"Really?" Marshall said surprised.

"I haven't really seen him in such a long time." Blazer said. "I didn't know he had a son."

"So you guys were friends but you haven't got the time to meet each other in a long time?" Marshall asked.

"It's mainly cause of the things going around town. The town's budget may not have us keep the Fire or Police Departments." Blazer said.

Hearing that made Marshall whimpered a bit.

"Is there something I can do about it dad?" Marshall said to his dad.

"Don't worry too much about it son. We will think of something soon." Blazer said.

"Your dad's right. You will play your part soon." Dottie said.

"Ok." Marshall said smiling.

"Anyway, this Chase pup is about your age, right? A pup like you needs more friends. So..." Blazer said.

"What?" Marshall said tilting his head in confusion.

"Just one second." Blazer said.

Blazer got out a smartphone from the counter and called a number. Heading back to the lookout with Chase and his family, Ryder's dad came by holding a pad.

"It's for you, Bullet." Ryder's dad said.

"Is it..." Bullet asked.

"You guess it." Ryder's dad said chuckling a bit.

"I see. Put it on speaker." Bullet said smiling.

"Huh? Who that?" Chase said tilting his head.

Ryder's dad put the pad next to Bullet.

"Hello?" Bullet said.

"It's been a long time, old friend." Blazer said from the phone.

"Too long, Blazer." Bullet said. "How have you been?"

"Good. Great in fact." Blazer said. "How about you? Still as serious as ever?"

"Hehe. I've learned to calm down it bit." Bullet said.

"Really? That's good to here. Anyway, do you know why I'm calling?"

"I have a good guess. It seems that are sons have met and have both gotten quite fond of each other."

"Yeah. What do you think we should do about it?"

"Huh? Sir? What are you..." Chase asked confused.

"Now now, son. Just watch and see." Crystal said to her son.

"Is tomorrow good for you?" Blazer said.

"Around noon?" Bullet said.

"Perfect." Blazer said.

"Well, see you then." Bullet said.

"See ya." Blazer said hanging up.

Blazer and Bullet then hanged up.

"Dad, what's happening tomorrow?" Marshall asked a little excited.

"You and Chase are going to have a play date." Blazer said.

"REALLY? Awesome!" Marshall said happily hugging his dad. "Thanks dad!"

"No problem, son." Blazer said.

Going back to the Lookout...

"Seriously? Marshall and I can hang out again?" Chase said wagging his tail.

"Yep! His dad and I decided that you should get to know each other and hang out would be perfect." Bullet said. "It would also give Blazer and I was some time to check up."

"AWESOME!" Chase said jumping up and down of excitement.

"You should thank you dad, Chase." Crystal said.

"Thank you, sir." Chase said.

"You're welcome. It's what dads do." Bullet said proudly. "Also Chase, it's dad. Not sir."

"Right. Sorry. I got it now Dad, sir." Chase said.

Bullet let out a big sign, while Crystal laughed a bit.
