This is the little follow up to my story that a few people asked me for, so here it is. (BTW this is ten more years later)

Beams of a morning sun shone through a sparkling window, lighting a small room I this little cottage style house. The beams fell upon a dark wood desk, and on that desk was a young woman. Her dark hair and pale complexion were beautiful in the light, but her amber eyes were the most gorgeous. When they were open. This young woman was fast asleep, her head pillowed by papers, sitting in her chair.

Her deep slumber was soon interrupted.

"Ib?"

A man of average height walked through the door to the study. He was dressed in a t-shirt and had on a pair of jeans. He was rather average looking, except for his purple hair and torn old coat. His blue eyes found the young lady and he chuckled softly.

"Oh, Ib."

Walking over, he shook her slightly to wake her.

"Ib," he whispered. "Time to get up."

Ib moaned, "Just one more minute?"

Garry smiled. "Something came for you in the mail today."

"What is it?"

"I'll tell you if you get up and change your clothes."

Reluctantly, the young woman got up and headed to her bedroom. She showered, brushed her teeth, and got dressed. She came back out to the man dressed in a white blouse and red pants with a red scarf around her neck. To him, she looked absolutely radiant.

Stifling a yawn, she spoke. "What mail came for me?"

Teasingly, Garry held up an envelope addressed to Ib. on the return address, it said Kenton Publishing Company. Ib squealed in excitement as she snatched it from his hand and plopped down on the couch. He sat down next to her as she read:

Dear Mrs. Ib:

We are pleased to inform you that your book: Beyond the Painting will be published with pleasure by our company. It is a wonderful fictional story with the perfect amount of action, suspense, tragedy, and friendship that it is an honor to publish it. As Ib looked up, Garry could see the tears of happiness rolling down her face as she reread the letter over and over. Finally, after what seemed like ages, she looked up and asked him.

"When did you get this?"

"I picked got it after I dropped Gina off at school," he smiled. "She is going to be so proud that her mommy is an author."

Ib smiled. "There's just one thing though."

Garry looked concerned, "What's wrong?"

Ib chuckled, "They said it was a fictional book. Nothing about that story was fictional!"

Garry laughed, "We could try to convince them otherwise, but it would be a lot of work."

Ib snuggled up to him and spoke to him softly.

"There are enough adventures in the world to tell, and enough adventurers to tell them, but that adventure will remain what it is."

She gave him a kiss before finishing:

"It will remain ours."

I hope you enjoyed it. I really am out of ideas for anymore chapters so this is IT! But thank you guys for reading and leave a review to tell me how I did. Love y'all-Beetle
