Title: Mello's First Words
Word Count: 223
Notes: The concept of Mello learning how to write.
"How about…a dark and stormy night?" Mello asked.
"I'm not even going to comment on that, man." Matt said; his eyes were glued to the TV as he shot some CGI human beings.
Mello stared dejectedly at the blank Document paper on the computer. Who was he kidding? He couldn't learn how to write, what on earth would he write about even if he could? It was all stupid.
He just wished that it didn't mean that he was admitting defeat. He was admitting defeat to the damn blank damn document pages.
He hated admitting defeat.
He fought the urge to knock the computer off the desk and mash the keyboard. One of the reasons was because it was Matt's and he knew that Matt would be none too happy.
"Why don't you just write about something you know? No one ever said you have to write fiction." Matt said.
About something he knew… Mello tapped his finger on one of the keys, making a lowercase L appear on the screen repeatedly.
l l l l l l l l.
L…Mello thought. He remembered the story L had told him, it felt so long ago. Maybe the story deserved to be told…
Sighing, Mello placed his hands over the keyboard and started pecking at the keys…
When Beyond Birthday committed his third murder…
