Mirrored Part 2
When they got back to Sam's house he helped her out of the truck. She led him up the walk and unlocked her door. She kept her back to him as she walked into her house, putting her keys and purse on the foyer table. She lifted her right foot and slipped off her sandal as he closed the door and stepped up behind her. He put his arm around her as she slipped off her left sandal. She leaned back against him as his lips found her neck.
Her breathing hitched as his other hand moved down her hip. She tilted her head and gave him more room so be nibbled up to her ear.
"Are you ok with this Sam? I don't want to pressure you."
She slowly turned around and met his eyes. "You wouldn't, even if you could." She smiled before she closed her eyes and leaned in for a kiss. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and her right hand moved into his short hair. Her tongue nudged his lips open and he pulled her closer as she traced a line along the roof of his mouth. They were both breathing heavily when their mouths separated. Sam's cheeks were flushed as a smile erupted across her face.
She took his hand and led him to her sofa. She turned her body towards him and put her hand on his knee as soon as they sat down. He put his hand on the side of her face as she leaned towards him and their lips met. A small voice in the back of his head told him he needed to stop, or at least slow things down a bit.
Her top four buttons were open and his lips were teasing the edge of her right breast when somebody started knocking at her door.
"You have got to be kidding me."
He lifted his head and smiled at her. "If it's a girl scout I prefer thin mints." He sat up and let her roll off the sofa.
She fixed two of the four buttons. "A girl scout would be better than a Jehovah's Witness." Jack snorted as the knocking started again. "I'm coming."
"Better not be, at least not yet." Sam's eye widened as she looked back at him, but he saw the grin on her shocked face.
She opened the door, ready to complain at the knocker but stopped short when she saw her friend. "Daniel. Is something wrong?"
"I'm not sure. Is Jack here?"
Sam's eyes narrowed. "Actually, he is. Why?"
Jack walked into her foyer with his hands above his head. "She doesn't know anything and I'm not going to put up a fuss." Daniel took a step back.
Sam looked back and forth between the two men as Teal'c and General O'Neill stepped in from opposite sides of her doorway, each brandishing a zat.
"What the hell!" She leaned against the wall as Teal'c moved forward towards Jack.
Teal'c put his forearm on the back of Jack's neck and pushed him against the wall. "Hey now, I said I wasn't going to fight. Take it easy."
Sam was shaking as she watched the scene unfold before her. "Somebody tell me what's going on!"
Teal'c leaned against Jack as he put handcuffs on him. Jack looked at her as Teal'c pulled him away from the wall. "I'm sorry, Sam."
General O'Neill growled low in his throat as he resisted the urge to cold cock his doppelganger. "Get him to the SGC. I'll follow you in my truck."
Jack grinned, "Sorry about that, but you really shouldn't keep a spare key in the toolbox. You were asking for it."
Daniel followed Jack and Teal'c out to the black SUV. General O'Neill closed the door behind them before turning towards Sam. "Are you ok?"
She nodded as his eye drifted down to the opened buttons on her top. She reached up to make sure she was fully covered. "What is going on?"
"I'm not sure yet. Daniel saw you out with him and alerted me when he realized I was on base." He took her arm and led her to the sofa. She sat down and wrapped her arms around herself. General O'Neill began pacing the room. "Did he hurt you?"
She shook her head. "No."
"Did you…" Jack rubbed the back of his neck. "Did you sleep with him?"
Her head snapped up. "Excuse me, how dare you…"
O'Neill sneered, "Don't you dare tell me it isn't any of my business. As far as I can tell, you thought you were with me and I have every right to know if you thought you had sex with me."
Sam's breathing increased as her jaw tensed. "No." Jack gave one nod and turned away from her putting one hand out to lean on her mantle. "But I was planning on it. You got here a little too early."
He slammed his free hand against the wooden mantle. "You have got to be kidding me." He placed both hands on the mantle and pushed against it. "After all these years of respecting the regulations all it took was one dinner out to get in your pants."
Sam sucked in a breath, shocked that he would speak to her that way. "Get out!"
Jack closed his eyes, regretting the words as soon as they escaped his mouth. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it."
Sam shakily stood up. "I said get out of my house."
O'Neill pushed off the mantle, stepped towards her, and reached out, "Carter, I…"
She pulled away from him. "Don't make me tell you again."
He pulled his hands back and he hung his head and stomped away, slamming the door as he left. Sam fell back down on the sofa and let herself cry as she shook in shock. Within a few minutes she was wiping her eyes and heading to the bathroom to make sure she was presentable. She grabbed her coat and purse and headed out the door, intent on finding out what happened tonight.
