This is the redone chapter 1. Hopefully, this will turn out as great as I hope it will be. This might be little short. I would like to know what you guys think, love good feedback.

Chapter 1:
October 5, 1923 Alkali lake, Alaska
Anna Marie D'Ancanto sat in her cell playing with her sun and moon locket. Opening it, she stroked the small picture that sat in one of the tiny frames. The young couple smiled at the camera, the woman holding a bundle of joy. The man had his arm wrapped his small family, one clutching his wife and the other helping his mate support the baby.
Marie counted herself lucky to have this pendant. She was always a strong being and at five, it was no different. Taking the necklace from the burly guard at her door had been easy. He had been taunting her with it, swinging it back and forth in front of her face, underestimating her speed and strength.
Well, he learned after that day.
Now, at 20 years old, Marie could knock any of the beefed up men and slimy scientists back with little to no effort. However, with the collar and their new little tranquillizer, she was practically powerless.
The young mutant sighed and leaned back against the wall. She stared at the thick metal door at the other side of the room. The shatterproof glass was slightly foggy and Marie could see the edge of the guard's face. This guard was one of the very few people in the facility that treated her with a modicum of humanity. Really, after spending most of her life with little to no affection, Marie had almost forgotten what the feel of a comforting hand felt like.
It did her no good to dwell on that.
Sighing once more, she tucked her locket back into her dress and played with her nails. The silver surface glinted off of the bright, fluorescent lights. The Adamantium was interspersed with veins of diamond and made for a rather fetching look, she had to admit. The sharp points were reminded her of claws and more than once, Marie wished she could feel them rip through that woman's flesh.
Hearing voices, Marie tensed up. The large bolts on the titanium door snapped unlocked. The door creaked open and there she was.
Speak of the devil.
Kayla stood in the door way, staring imperiously down her nose at the mutant she held captive as several guards invaded the room. Behind her stood two of the lab's scientists. Marie's eyes flashed yellow at the sight of the woman.
"Hello, Rogue. It's time for you to get ready for a bit of fun," Kayla sneered.
Marie's head cocked to the side as she crossed her arms. "What, are you going to strap me to the table again? Haven't done that in a while."
The raving mad woman cackled. "Wouldn't that be so fun? But no, today we're going to do something a little different." Kayla gestured for the guards and Marie knew better than to fight at the moment. One of the lab coats came towards her once she was forced up to her feet and injected her with the tranquillizer held in his spidery hand.
Marie's vision started to go out of focus. The last thing she saw was Kayla's mad grin.
oOo
Kayla stood in front of the cylinder and waited for the brat to wake up. Stryker stood directly in front of the girl, observing her.
"Really, I didn't know you had such bad taste," Kayla mocked.
The balding man turned to sneer at the statuesque woman. "I'm just making sure that my investment won't go to waste. This girl is needed for future experiments. We cannot afford to lose this particular asset."
Kayla rolled her eyes and waved him off. A groan came from inside the cylinder and she looked to see Rogue rousing from her unconscious state.
The young mutant blinked before her gaze focused.
"What," she stumbled as she stood up, "what is going on, Kayla? Where the hell am I?"
Kayla shrugged and climbed into the empty, glass cylinder next to her favourite play toy. "We've decided to put you in a nice long nap and I'm going along with you to ensure that you won't misbehave."
"What?"
"You see, this nice man here wants to figure out how you operate but I'm afraid that we just don't have the technology to do what he wants to do in this day and age without splitting you wide open," Kayla explained. "So, my little lab coats have whipped up a way to keep us alive and preserved for many years to come."
"Oh, my god," Marie stared in horror. "I realised you were insane but this, this could kill both of us."
The caramel skinned woman cackled, "Oh don't you worry, my dear Rogue. I think we'll be just fine."
Kayla nodded at her scientists, "Begin."
Marie would later look back on this moment and remembered raising her hand before to break the glass before she felt a flash of pain and then nothing.
This would be the moment that brought her already cruel life into a whirlwind spiral.
And there it is, chapter 1. Was it good, bad? Let me know what you think. Next chapter we see the rest of the X-men enter the scene. Like, review, do you.
