I don't own Harry potter or Ghost Hunt, I'm just having a little fun with them for while and will try and put them back when I'm finished, though that won't be for a very long time.

Well, here is the first proper chapter. Thank you for the reviews so far!

Thanks to those that have helped me with this fic, Wiccachic2000, Dead Feather, Lily and George.

Yume no Naka ni Seishin

Chapter One

It was the day after the defeat of Voldemort that Harry woke up in the Hospital Wing. Harry had gone into the Hospital Wing to see if Dumbledore had returned, but instead he had saw all his friends with someone by their bedside. Hermione had her parents, as did Ron and Ginny. Luna had her father and Neville had his grandmother. He felt a pang within his heart when he realised that he would never have that with his parents, or any member of his family. He gave them a nod and then was waylaid by Madam Pomfrey as soon as she saw him enter the Hospital Wing. She had examined him, telling him that Dumbledore was still at the Ministry and had sent word that he would be back the next day. He was quickly potioned with Dreamless Sleep and settled into a bed.

Harry stood from the bed and looked around, he saw that some of his clothes were on the bedside table waiting for him. He looked to the rest of the room and saw that the others were up and about, getting dressed and ready to leave. Though Hermione and Ron were still in bed, since the two of them had been hurt the most during the fight. He nodded his head to the two of them and went over to them.

"How are the two of you feeling?" He asked them both.

Hermione smiled, "I feel a little tired, but Madam Pomfrey said I should be fine by tomorrow."

Ron nodded his head, "Basically the same with me too. Mum's going metal though. She wants us both home as soon as I am free. She's already taken Ginny, Fred and George." He told Harry with a smile.

"My parents are the same. Harry, we're sorry about Sirius," Hermione said softly, hoping that Harry wouldn't clam up or become angry at the mention of Sirius.

Harry nodded and told the two of them, "Thanks. I'm going to be asking Dumbledore to help me leave England for a while. I need to get away for a while. I know that the media is going to go into a frenzy and that Fudge and all that lot will want a piece of me. I just think it would be best to get away from that now before it really starts." He then said, changing the subject.

"What do you mean leave? Where will you go? What will you do? Why?" Hermione sent him a barrage of questions she wanted answering.

"Leave England, I plan to see about going to Japan, I'll be going to a Muggle school, and do Magical courses via owl mail. I already said I want to avoid the media frenzy and pushy politicians." Harry quirked a small grin at the barrage sent his way.

"But you can't do that?" Ron almost shouted at his friend. He didn't want Harry leaving him.

"I need to Ron, we will always be friends. I really need to do this, to get away. I never really planed on staying full time within the Magical World. I wanted to try and do things out side it. I want to continue on with my Muggle education. I kept up with my Muggle education thanks to the Library in Little Whinging, but I don't know if I will be good enough for school. I think I could continue my Muggle education in Japan instead, that way the Ministry and that would leave me alone better, since I don't plan to have many people know where I am going. I just need to talk with Dumbledore about it all, I need his help in organising everything." Harry said softly.

"Just don't forget us Harry, you're our best friend. We don't want to lose you, and if you move far away it will feel like you are leaving us behind." Hermione said just as softly, looking at her friends with sad eyes.

"How could I forget either of you, you both mean so much to me, Ron, you're like my brother, and Hermione the sister I always wanted. You're family and I will never forget family." Harry told them a soft smile on his face.

"You really think that about us?" Ron asked, his eyes a little wide at the thought.

Harry nodded, "Have done for a long time now. You have both been with me through some really crazy shit…"

"Harry, language." Hermione interrupted him with an admonishment.

"Sorry, Hermione," Harry ducked his head for a moment before he continued talking. "But with all the crazy stuff we've been through, we became closer, even moments of idiocy made us closer in the end."

"That is true." Hermione said as Ron nodded, going at little red at the thought of his reaction during the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

"Anyway, I'm going to see if I can find Dumbledore. I really want to get things sorted as soon as I can." Harry said as he stood up from where he was sat on Hermione's bed.

"Our parents are in the Great Hall until having breakfast, Madam Pomfrey is in her office at the moment. We've already finished breakfast, if you hurry though, you would be able to get something from the Great Hall." Hermione told him with a smile. She had to wonder a little what was going on since Harry wasn't reacting like she thought he would after the death of his Godfather, she would have asked him, but she didn't want to bring up anything when he seemed to be coping with what was going on.

"Thanks Hermione, Ron. I'll see the two of you later. Hopefully Madam Pomfrey will let you out early." Harry nodded and then left the two of them alone to recover from the fight last night.

Harry walked through the halls of Hogwarts; part of the place had lost its charm over the years as things happened that made the place a danger to Harry's continued health. Though some parts still took him back. He didn't even know if Dumbledore had been allowed back into the school, since the day before Umbridge had taken over as Headmistress when she had found out about the DA. They had all been in detention when Harry had the vision of his godfather being tortured by Voldemort in the department of mysteries. To Harry that vision already seemed like a life time away, when it was only yesterday that he had the vision.

Harry walked into the Great Hall and everything went silent. People stopped eating, talking, everything. Harry walked to the head table and straight to Dumbledore who was sitting at the table, there was no Umbridge in sight either. Harry hoped that she would be gone for good, he and many others didn't like they way she dictated life at Hogwarts. He reached the head table and still not a sound was uttered.

"Headmaster, can we talk in your office?" Harry asked as he broke the silence.

"Do you wish for breakfast first? We can always talk after you have eaten." The headmaster said, smiling at his student.

Harry shook his head, "No thank you headmaster, I really just need to talk with you. It's also important that I do it now and not later." He said adamantly.

"Very well, we'll have a little something in my office while you can tell me what happened yesterday. Would it be all right for Professors McGonnagall and Snape to join us?" He asked as he stood up from his seat.

"I would prefer it if it was just us for now, you could relay what I say later on. But this I would just like you to know what I did." Harry told him, shooting an apologetic look at his head of house, not bothering with Snape.

"Very well Harry." Dumbledore said as the two of them then left the Great Hall and went to the Headmasters office.

The two settled down inside and Dumbledore called for a small breakfast and tea from one of the many Hogwarts house elves. He poured the two of them a drink and Harry took a slice of toast. He wasn't that big on breakfast.

"So why don't you tell me what you did yesterday to get rid of Voldemort?" what the first question that Dumbledore asked him as they started to eat and drink.

"Just, don't be mad. I'm Necromancer. I found a book in the school library, in the restricted section, I had a pass from the fake Moody. I started to read it. Over the summer as well, I found another book in the Black Library that helped me refine what I was doing and I started to follow the Old Ways. I kept it secret from everyone, since I didn't want anyone to know what I was doing. Not long after I found the first book, I tried it to summon my parents so I could talk with them. I found it fascinating and easy to do. I know that they don't like it here and that it is banned, but I talked with my parents and we came up with something that if I was ever able to get Voldemort to be trapped in one place I could summon the elemental spirits, he was supposed to go to the other side when I was a baby, but something went wrong and he didn't. He was an unblessed resurrection, though a butchered form of it in the end." Harry explained a little, "I invoked the elemental spirits to come and cleanse him and take his soul to the otherworld. It worked and he is gone for good. He can never come back." He added, hoping that the headmaster would not be angry about what he had done.

"I can certainly understand why you didn't want anyone else know what you had done to get rid of him, but I have to say how can you be a Necromancer, they are always marked in one way or another. Each one if marked in a very unique way." Dumbledore then said a little confused on how Harry could be a necromancer.

Harry pulled out his wand and pulled up both his sleeves, after tapping each wrist a tattoo shimmered into view. Each one was a ring of braided Sweetgrass; on each of the wrists on top of the braided Sweetgrass were small lilies and blessed thistle flowers. He then held them out so that Dumbledore could have a look at them.

"The only thing that remains the same between each mark is that they can feel real, but only if I wish for them to." Harry said as he waited for Dumbledore to examine them.

The headmaster reached forwards and touched them; he could feel the braided Sweetgrass and the softness of the lilies. "Amazing Harry, you are right in that we should not let others come across what you can do, it can cause a lot of problems. I will help you think of something that we can tell people about what happened." He said, reassuring Harry that he will be protected and that his secret will remain just that.

"Thank you." Harry smiled at him, "there is only one last thing that I want to talk to you about." He then added as he put the glamour back on his wrists.

The aged headmaster smiled and asked, "and what would that be?"

"I want to leave England. You already know what the papers were like when they thought I was a pariah, now that we have been proved right they will be wanting to interview me and such. I don't want to be a part of it. I never even intended to stay within the Wizarding world because of it. I know I can never leave magic behind, and I don't want to, I want it to be a part of my life like everyone else. I just don't think I will be able to stay within the Wizarding world here in Britain. I want to go over seas. I know I'm not yet sixteen, but I can take care of myself; I have done for most of my life. I've thought about it, and I want to go." He answered, rushing a lot of what he wanted to get through to Dumbledore.

"Are you sure that you have thought this through?" Dumbledore asked, hoping that Harry had truly given this a lot of thought.

"I have headmaster. I already have a place in mind. I just need your help in making sure that when I leave no one can control what I do, I want my own life headmaster and I know I wont get that if I stay here." Harry said solemnly.

"Than I will help you get emancipated and help you set yourself up. Are you going magical or Muggle?" he then asked.

"I'll be going Muggle, and Headmaster, thank you." Harry answered and smiled at him, "Right, I want to go to Japan, I've been fascinated by the place since I was a child. I love the language, and the culture, and it's a place that my mother always wanted to visit. I plan to go to a Muggle school there and take my time in learning what I want. I will still learn magic, of course, but I want to do it via owl. I want to live in a Muggle area. I just don't want to be around wizards all the time."

"All right then, I shall have things sorted over the next few days." He said as the two of them finished their breakfast and come up with something that they would be able to tell people what happened to kill Voldemort for good.

It had been a few days since Harry had a talk with Dumbledore in his office. The papers had been full of stuff about Harry and the defeat of Voldemort. He was still getting a deluge of letters from fans. People from the press were still trying to get an interview from him as well, though Dumbledore helped a little in making sure that they would be able to get onto school grounds. Hermione and Ron had gone home with their families for couple of weeks. That meant that Harry was at Hogwarts on his own for a little while. Though he would be leaving soon, as soon as Dumbledore got everything sorted out. It was lunchtime when he got a message from Dumbledore telling him to meet with him in the office.

Harry was soon in the headmaster's office once again. He was alone with the headmaster as he was sat behind his desk; Fawkes was sleeping on his perch once again. Dumbledore was quick to send for some tea for the both of them, even though lunch had just finished.

"Well, Harry," the headmaster smiled at his student. "The papers and Ministry all believe what we have told them about the power of love. I know cliché, but it works for them. Not only that I have been able to get you emancipated as well. You families' holdings, including Sirius' are now yours. You wished to move near the Shibuya area of Tokyo, as you requested; the test that I had you take was to enrol you in a school there, you have been accepted as well. They have an enrolment ceremony on the 9th April. I found a small two bed roomed house there and have brought it for you. I have a spell that will help you learn the language faster, it will be applied to you once and then after a few weeks it will fade away, during that time you will absorb the language. I hope that you will come back on occasions." He added sadly, he truly didn't want to see Harry leave the school.

"I will sir, I may visit from time to time during breaks from school." Harry smiled at him softly, "Sir, can you please look after any interests that I have here in England?" he then asked.

"Of course," Dumbledore answered, though Harry could tell there was a little shock within the aged headmasters voice. "Oh, but do spend some time going through the family vaults. I know that the Potter Family is one that dates back to before the founders I believe, as does the Black Family. I kow that there should be some family journals within them to teach you things that only a Potter, or Black would know."

"I will and thank you. How long will it be before I can move? I want to start over there as soon as I can." Harry then said he was beginning to feel the excitement of going somewhere new.

Dumbledore smiled. "Well, if it is all right with you, for the first week you are there, I was wondering if it would be all right if Remus, or even myself come with you to help you get settled in. I know both of us would love to come with you. It is up to you?"

"Well, I don't mind if the both of you come. I know that I will be a in a new place and both of you will be able to help me settle in a little. Though I don't want you watching my every move." Harry was a little sceptical about having both of them.

"Then I shall let Remus go with you. I know he will enjoy spending a little time with you." The headmaster spoke with a smile and a twinkle within his eyes. "I shall let you get packed up, you can leave for the Burrow for a day or two and go from there, it will also give you time to go to you vaults and so that you can say goodbye to everyone," He then said.

"Thank you Headmaster, for everything. So I can move there in two days. Remus will be coming with me. Oh since I will be in the Muggle world, I will be going by plane or will it still be portkey?" Harry asked as he stood up.

"Plane, I though the experience would do you some good." He answered as he pulled out a file from his desk draw, "Before I forget, this has all the information about the school, your new home and how you will be getting there, and your Muggle papers. It also has information about your vaults and properties you own here in England and a few in other places."

Harry reached over and took the file, "Thank you headmaster," he said and then turned around to leave. He would be going to the Burrow for a while and then leave with Remus, who would be coming back to England after a week. Then he would have almost two weeks to himself, as he got ready to enter a new school. He just hoped he would be able to keep up, while he had looked through Dudley's books, it wasn't as though he was truly taught the material. Time would tell in the end, though he planned to get some reading done before he went to school.

Well, what do you all think? Was it okay? Please review and tell me what you think so far. Oh and I have five chapters done, and a second case already halfway through being written. And the second case is not the Doll House case from the anime; it's one of my own.

Next : New school, new friends, but do they have to bump into you?
