While I'm lying sick in bed, I went through my computer and found this little one-shot. I hope you like it!

"I hate it," Callie whined and tried to scratch her back but with these "gauze paws" she couldn't ease her itching. She wished that she could just cuddle with her girlfriend at the moment but instead Arizona had stopped her from even getting close to her. "Damn it." When her door opened, Callie was a little confused to see Bailey pulling Arizona along with her. Arizona's head hung down and she looked extremely exhausted.
"I'll come back with a bed in a minute," Bailey said to Arizona as she threw the hospital gown at her and told her to get out of her clothes. Arizona nodded and turned around to see her girlfriend looking confused up at her. She just rolled her eyes in annoyance as she lifted up her shirt and showed a stomach that was covered in red spots. Red spots that Callie had "given" to her.
"Oh," Callie looked at it and immediately knew what that meant.
"Yes, oh!" Arizona whined and sat down at the end of her bed, "This is such a bad timing. Today I was supposed to operate on James and I don't want to have the chicken pox now and my head feels like it's going to explode." She scratched her stomach madly but stopped when Callie put her gauze paws around her hands.
"Stop scratching. You're just going to make it worse and then you'll get a scar," Callie told her with a smirk. Those were exactly the words Arizona had told Callie without feeling any pity with her suffering girlfriend.
Arizona pouted and let herself fall backwards onto the bed, "That's not funny. I don't want to be stuck in here and god, that itches." Arizona scratched her stomach again and got out of her clothes to undress.
"Shit," Callie said when she saw Arizona's back. It was full of spots. Her girlfriend definitely had more spots than she had.
"What?" Arizona looked back at Callie who felt a little sorry for getting her girlfriend sick.
"Your whole back is covered. I guess we'll be here for a while," Callie smiled. Actually she was a little bit glad that Arizona was with her.
"I won't stay here for long. I can't," Arizona shook her head angrily and then pointed at Callie, "Why did you have to get the chicken pox? Where did you even get it? I work with children nonstop and never get children's diseases. Chicken pox is meant for children. Not for grown-up women, who have better things to do than lying in a hospital bed while they actually should be working in the hospital. As doctors."
Callie couldn't help but smile at Arizona. This was another moment where Callie realized how lucky she was to have such an amazing girlfriend and how cute Arizona could be when she was pouting.
"Stop smiling. This isn't funny!"
Callie held her gauze paws up in the air, "Hey, I know exactly what you go through and I know it's hell but," she put her gauze paws around Arizona's chin and pulled her closer to give her a soft kiss, "now I can kiss you as much as I want and whenever I want."
Arizona let her upper body fall on top of Callie and just laid there totally exhausted.
A little later Bailey came inside with another bed. "This is a hospital and both of you are sick. So, no cuddling but staying in your own bed."
Arizona got up with a pout and sat down on her bed, "Bailey, do you…" but Bailey interrupted with "Open your mouth" and Arizona obeyed tiredly. "Okay you two. You have to drink very much. Fluid is very important and…"
"Bailey, I work in Peds. No need to tell…"
"Doctors are the worst patients. You stay here until you're not contagious any more.
"But that's like…that can be over a week," Arizona protested and looked shocked at Bailey. Of course she understood the precaution but somehow she hated the idea of staying in the hospital for that long.
"Dr. Robbins, do you want any of your already sick children to get even sicker by getting the chicken pox?" Miranda asked as if she was scolding Arizona.
"No," Arizona whispered and closed her eyes.
"Good. Now be good patients," Miranda walked outside and left the two of them alone with a little smile on her face.
Callie looked over at Arizona who couldn't stop scratching her legs and then screamed madly as she let herself fall backwards onto her own bed again, "This sucks!"
"Yup but at least we're in this together. Now hop over again," Callie pulled the blanket away and within a second Arizona went into her bed and under it as well. "We're unsexy together." Arizona laughed at that comment and cuddled into her wife. It didn't take long that both of them fell asleep.

Mark went inside the room where Callie and Arizona were hospitalized. He smiled when he saw the two of them sleeping peacefully in each others' arms and sat down on a chair besides them. "Hey," Callie whispered when she opened her eyes and saw her best friend sitting besides them.
"How are you feeling?"
"Like I have the chicken pox," Callie answered feeling awful. "I'm itchy everywhere."
"And Blondie?" Mark looked down at the sleeping Arizona. Obviously she got it worse. These spots seemed to get more and more within every hour.
"Not better," Callie kissed Arizona's forehead and realized how hot it was. "Do we have a thermometer here?" Mark gave her one and immediately she put it into Arizona's ear. She remembered Arizona telling her that she had been rarely sick as a child but if she had been she would always get a high fever and have it worse than her brother Timothy.
"103" Callie whispered while Arizona started to moan and suddenly jumped out of the bed and ran into the bathroom. They heard her puking heavily and when Callie wanted to walk after her but actually felt horrible as well, Mark told her to just lay down and went after Arizona.
"It's okay, Blondie. Let it all out," he patted her back softly while he held her hair as Arizona continued puking. After what felt like hours she finally stopped and leaned back against the wall in exhaustion. "Can you please kill me?"
Mark laughed and took a wet towel to wash Arizona's sweaty face. He then helped her up again and back into her own bed where she closed her eyes again as she snuggled into her pillow. "Aaaaa, this is driving me crazy. It itches everywhere." She scratched her legs and arms. Mark smirked at both of them and had an idea. He pulled sat his chair right in between their beds and started scratching Callie's back carefully.
"Awww, that's good!" Callie moaned and made Arizona turn around again to see why her girlfriend was moaning.
When Mark received a jealous glance from Arizona he held up his hands in defense, "I could help you ease the itching too!" Callie burst out into laughing at that sentence while Arizona shook her head.
"In your dreams, Mark," Arizona said and started scratching her back on her own.
"Stop Arizona, you'll really get scars." Callie mumbled into the pillow.

"Bailey!" Arizona tried in vain to pull down those huge gauze paws she had on her hands now too. Bailey stood in front of her and shook her head.
"You already managed to scratch till bleeding. Stop whining and take the medicine," Bailey held a spoon in front of Arizona's face, who made a grimace at its taste.
"See, do you agree now? I'm the better patient," Callie pointed proudly at her girlfriend.
"Calliope! This isn't a competition and it's all your fault. I would not be lying in this stupid, stupid bed if you didn't decide to get the chicken pox." Arizona got grumpier with every minute.
"Oh, could you stop now? I didn't decide it to get it and you by the way were the one suggesting to ease my headache with sex," Callie yelled back.
"Well if you weren't that sexy even when you're sick, I would not have suggested that. So it's still your fault." Arizona said back between another coughing fit.
"Stop it! NOW!" Bailey crossed her arms in front of them and felt like she had two teenagers in front of her. "You two rest now. If I hear any of you screaming at each other again I'll make sure to separate you. There are more rooms in this hospital and I won't hesitate to drag one of you into another room."
"You wouldn't," Callie said shocked.
"Do you know me, Torres?" Miranda raised an eyebrow.
"Fine, we won't argue," of course Callie knew that Bailey was not bluffing, so she decided to shut up and just lean back into her pillow.
"Good. If you get worse, you call me. You know that the chicken pox in adults can cause severe problems. We don't want you to get pneumonia or…"
"Bailey, telling patients the worst case scenario isn't exactly good because…", Arizona started to cough.
"You are my special patients," Bailey smiled and then pointed at both of them, "now sleep!"

"Arizona," Callie whispered softly at night and waited a second until she whispered "Arizona" again.
"What?" Arizona mumbled sleepily.
"I'm sorry," Callie looked over to her girlfriend whose eyes were looking feverishly back at her. "I really didn't want to get you sick."
Arizona smiled softly back at her, "I know. How do you feel?"
"Honestly. Like a shark tried to nibble at my whole body and injected animals into every bite," Callie whined, "and I hate those gauze paws." She looked confused when Arizona tried to get up from her bed but wobbled a bit and held her head in pain. Her girlfriend then got off of the bed and pushed the small table in between them out of the way.
"What are you doing?" Callie smiled widely.
"You're too far away," Arizona coughed and held her chest in pain. She then pushed her bed right next to Callie's, so that they had one big bed." Immediately they went into their favorite sleeping pose with Callie cuddling Arizona from behind. "Did you ever imagine laying sick with the chicken pox in the hospital you work in with your girlfriend?"
Callie let out a loud laugh and kissed Arizona's nose, "Nope, never."
"Me neither," Arizona played with Callie's fingers in her hand and pulled her even closer. "I wouldn't want to have the chicken pox with anybody else."
"Me neither," Callie smiled and closed her eyes feeling very much loved.
They knew that they would go through this together. Soon both of them were asleep – Callie snoring peacefully and Arizona coughing from time to time.
