The next time Elizabeth awoke, she had a blasting headache in the center of her third eye. Rubbing her third eye, she felt nauseous from rubbing it. Elizabeth closed her eyes to relax. Abruptly, the cargo box shuddered as voices surrounded her box. "Up! Raise it up!" Elizabeth almost cried out in pain at the loudness. Then suddenly, a feminime voice cut through, easing her aching head. "Rest, my child. Rest your eyes, rest your heart, and rest your mind. You are safe and coming home soon."

Elizabeth found herself relaxing even though the box shuddered and shook when it landed on the ship. Slowly but surely, Elizabeth fell into a blissful sleep while many voices started talking, "Who is she?", "Is she a sister of ours?", and "Why's her mind so human?"

The next time Elizabeth awoke, she found herself ensconced in darkness. Her headache had gone away when that soothing voice eased her along with the other voices. Elizabeth felt confused and shifted positions to make herself comfortable. The voices were quiet and Elizabeth lay there until the ship shuddered, landing somewhere.

"Now, let's get these crates unloaded and set them up." A voice ordered. "We need to capture some more Xenomorphs to experiment on."

Elizabeth listened to the men and was grateful that they didn't know she was there. If they did, she'd be shipped back to her foster home. Elizabeth shuddered. Her crate rocked and she kept her mouth shut. It wouldn't be a grand idea to make any type of noise.

Elizabeth had some peace before a terrible blood curdling scream rang out, followed by gunshots. Elizabeth covered her ears and clenched her eyes closed. Suddenly, it went all quiet and uncovering her ears, she listened for any noises.

"This one smells like a human!" A voice said in her thoughts.

Elizabeth didn't answer the voice. Instead, she curled into a ball as something landed on top of her crate. She stilled. "Yes. This one has a human in it. Mother will be so pleased!"

Suddenly, splinters of wood started to fall onto her as sharp claws dug the crate's top to shreds. "Hmm. A human child!" An amused voice said in her head.

Elizabeth drew herself into a tighter ball, readying for the onslaught of teeth. "Don't eat me." She said in her head.

The Xenomorph retreated from the crate with a hiss. "You can hear my thoughts, human child?"

"Yes."

"Interesting. Why don't you come out of there so I can take you to the Queen. This is an interesting coincidence, indeed."

Elizabeth shifted position out of her ball. The Xenomorph waited for to emerge from the crate. Elizabeth threw out her backpack over the side of the crate. It landed near the Xenomorph who bent down to check it out. Elizabeth climbed over the side and set herself on the ground. Elizabeth studied the Xenomorph in front of her. Noticing the sharp claws, double mouthes, and sharp barbelled tail made her cringe. "Come, little human. We do need to talk to the Queen." Elizabeth nodded at the voice as she picked up her back pack. She followed the Xenomorph through the jungle. "Keep vigilant."

"Why?"

"Stick close to me."

Elizabeth did what the Xenomorph told her to do. She maintained a distance from the barbed tail which swung back and forth like a cats. The Xenomorph stopped abruptly and swung her banana head around as if sensing something was wrong.

Elizabeth walked up to her side as she hissed a warning. Something moved to the left of Elizabeth. Two more new Xenomorphs burst through the underbrush, straight to Elizabeth. They were both hissing and getting ready to pounce.

"Enough." Both Xenomorphs stopped their hissing and stared at her. "This human's special. No Xenomorph should touch her."

"What makes her special? She smells yummy!"

"Well excuse me for smelling so yummy to you." Elizabeth said to the two of them and they both hissed at her. "I'm not your meal. In fact, there's a gazelle animal over there. Go pounce on him." The duo laughed in her head as they scurried away towards the gazelle animal.

"Haha! You're so interesting, human."

Elizabeth nodded.

"This way." They walked towards a huge rock outcropping with a hole. Elizabeth noticed there were several sentries standing guard. "Never mind them. They have their orders to guard the entrance. Since you're with me, you're safe. I have already been given the clearance to meet the Queen."

"How come I didn't hear the exchange?"

"Your mind is shielded from all of our thoughts. You haven't the capability of hearing many voices all at once. When you reach the Queen, then you can hear her voice."

"That explains that." Elizabeth couldn't see in the dark and the Xenomorph picked her up. Then they went into the hive. It seemed like forever before the Xenomorph walked into the Inner Sanctum of the Queen. Elizabeth could hear breathing and could see the faint outline of the Queen. Some filtered light shined from above and Elizabeth's voice caught in her throat as she beheld the massive Queen standing there, less than five inches away from her.

"Well, this is interesting, my dear. It appears you have a gift. Rarely humans can hear our hive speech."
