Location: FBI Cyber Crime Division, Washington D.C.
Avery and Simon are talking in the hallway.
Avery: "Do you know how to hire someone for a job at Cyber Division?"
Simon: "Yeah! I've been here for a long time. I've been interviewing and accepting them as a job."
Simon's phone rang, and he answered.
Simon: "Sifter. Wait, who? She's here now? Uh, escort her up."
Locke was escorted to Avery and Simon to speak to them.
Simon: "Hi! I'm an assistant deputy director Simon. This is Avery Ryan."
Locke: "I'm Rebecca Locke. I'm here about the job."
Simon: "Alright then, come with us. Let's go to a conference room."
They looked at her resume.
Simon: "So, you're the FBI agent from Los Angeles, working with VCU?"
Locke: "Yes!"
Avery: "What's VCU?"
Locke: "Violent Crimes Unit. A division dedicated to investigating dangerous crimes."
Simon: "If you're working with VCU, why working with us at Cyber Division?"
Locke: "I want to learn more about cybercrimes."
Avery: "It could be too difficult to tell what it is. Let's go to CTOC to meet our team."
They proceed to walk to the CTOC to meet the team.
Avery (to her team): "This is Special Rebecca Locke. She's FBI agent with VCU from LA. She'll be with us."
Avery (to Locke): "This is Elijah Mondo, Brody Nelson, Daniel Krumitz, and Revan Ramirez."
Locke: "Hello all! How are you?"
Elijah: "I'm good. Nice to meet you. Welcome aboard."
Locke: "Thanks!"
Brody: "You look sound pretty today."
Locke: "Why thank you."
Daniel: "So, tell me, what brought you to Cyber Crime Division?"
Avery: "She wants to learn more about cybercrime."
Revan: "I have a question. What's VCU?"
Locke: "Violent Crimes Unit. A division dedicated to investigating dangerous crimes. I joined the team after the death of the previous member. While I was proved to be an investigator, I had a secret."
Elijah: "Tell me about it."
Locke: "When I was 10, I was kidnapped from my home and held captive for 18 months. No one found and rescue me. I've escaped the trauma all by myself, setting a fire and escaping in the chaos."
Brody: "That's the scariest story I've never heard of. So, you chose to join to work with VCU?"
Locke: "That's right. I joined VCU for many years. And then later, I decide to apply for a job at Cyber Crime Division."
Daniel: "Sounds you're busy. It's good to have you on board."
Avery: "Daniel. Why don't you show her around?"
Daniel: "Sure. Agent Locke comes with me."
Daniel gave Locke a tour.
"This the break room. We took 15 min. break; lunch break for 30 min. There's a vending machine."
"This the tablet control room. It's where we use a tablet that shows the evidence comes from photos and videos from the victims."
"This is the evidence lab. That's where we gather the pieces of evidence which comes from the crime scene. What we do is taking the evidence and see what comes from the crime scene, such as exploding."
"This is the locker room. It has the restroom in it."
"Here's the medical examiner. We usually gathered the dead bodies from the crime scene."
"Here's the CTOC. That's where we usually use computers, based on the evidence. We usually use access to get to the accounts of where it came from. Do you have any questions?"
Locke: "This place looks nice. I liked it."
Daniel: "Yes! It is. It's been built for a long time. One more thing. When we find the hackers and targets, we request the SWAT team, by giving them the address so they can be there. On the other hand, when we find hackers and targets in another state, we took the airplane and request the SWAT team, by giving them the address so that way they'll be there."
Locke: "I have a question. You're saying you gathered the evidence until you found out who did it?"
Daniel: "It depends on crime scenes and scenarios, like who's responsible for murdering."
Locke: "I see!"
Daniel: "Do you have any more questions?"
Locke: "Another question. Do supervisors usually call team members to tell them the location of the crime scene and have them to be there? You know like they call me and ask me to be there."
Daniel: "Yes! Supervisors like Avery does call us to be there on the crime scene location."
They walked back to CTOC.
Avery: "Alright Locke. We're glad to have you here. We don't have any crime scenes now. If we have more questions, we'll be in touch with you, as well as the crime scene. Have a good day."
Locke walked out and head back to her apartment to get relaxed.
Note: Agent Rebecca Locke will appear on the next cybercrime story.
