Chapter One
Updated: August 10, 2015
After the whole blackout occurrence and the random stranger pop-up, the guild had calmed down a bit. "So, maybe introduce yourselves? You know, to kind ease the confusion a bit?" I suggest to the three kids sitting on a table.
The three each take a slurp of their drinks at the same time and laugh. Freaky…
There was one that had looked older than the other two who had turned towards us and smiled sweetly. His eyes are colored olive with the slightest tint of red blended in. His hair's a dark blue and is messily tossed around in a fashionable manner. He's tall and slim, scrawny, I'd even say, but he spoke confidently.
"I'm Fumio and I'm the eldest. I'm 11, turning 12 in a few months. I'm not really sure how to say this in a non-stupid way, but my magic consists of being able to make anything out of metal."
I could practically hear Wendy's thoughts. "So… You have Iron Script?"
"No!" he exclaims in confusion, literally asking why she would ask that. "I need actual metal to bend. I guess you can just call me a metal bender, but that's a very loose term."
The next one is a girl. She looks more mature, but she was obviously the middle of the other two. The color of her eyes are the shade of melted chocolate, but it had this slight haze to it. Her hair is short. It's very short. It is cut in a boyish-style, the color of lilac. She wears a fringe starting from the left and ending at the nick of her ear. Her figure is also a bit scrawny, but it looks like she has a bit more weight on her than Fumio did.
"I'm Akane, but people call me Aka. I'm 10 years of age and I only have one main weapon, and that's my bow. However, I can easily change its usage by swapping the jewel I have at the front for another. See?" she asks, showing us where the slot in her weaponry is. "Each jewel has a different usage, you could guess. It might be inefficient at times, but I've gotten used to it."
Then, the smallest of the three steps up. She's quiet until it's her turn to introduce herself. One of her eyes are brown. I can't see the other due to the messy fringe covering it. I'm sure it's also the same color. The length of her hair is rather long. It reaches her shoulders and is colored the same as her eyes, brown. She seems… fragile.
"My name is Akari. I'm 6, the youngest of the three, as you probably observed. My mom says I'm a summoner, but I haven't really figured out what I summon yet. So… I guess I can't really use magic at all. Sorry, you probably don't want me here anymore. I can leave and go somewhere else. At least take Fumio and Akane with you because they're really nice and strong, unlike me."
She starts to ramble and I find myself laughing. "Don't say that. You're going to be the strongest when you grow up. I swear you will, sweetie."
I cover my mouth as soon as the words come out of my mouth. Did I just call her sweetie? Everyone's looking at me weirdly.
"Sorry, that came out of nowhere. I didn't mean that. But I meant it. The part about you being the strongest. You'll be awesome. Yeah…" I trail off awkwardly.
Akari's eyes widen and she stares at me with unreadable emotion. Is that confusion? Disgust? Relief? Happiness? "T-thank you."
Levy's next to me. "Um, yeah. We should introduced ourselves, right? Uh, I'm Le-"
"We know who you are," Fumio cuts in.
Erza furrows her brows. "You do?"
I see Akane slap him on the head and sigh. "You guys are pretty famous, you know? It's not hard to not know you. I can name every single one of you and your magic type right now if I wanted."
"Even mine?" Natsu asks with amazement.
"Natsu, you're like, the most known person out there," I retort.
Akane nods, despite my statement. "Natsu Dragneel, Fire Dragonslayer."
His smile widens and he looks at me. "I like 'em. Are we keeping them?" he turns to Master.
"That's such a rude way to ask! They're human beings, not pets, you fool!" He then grins warmly and pats Akari on the head. "Of course we're taking them in. I also like them and they seem like Fairy Tail material!"
The three children jump up in glee and glance at each other. "That's awesome!" Fumio shouts. "Not to rush or anything, but when will we get our guild marks?"
"Fumio," Akari whines quietly. "That's totally rushing through!"
Mira laughs and ushers them towards the bar. "What about we do that now? It's not like you have to sign a contract!" She walks behind the long table and moves her hand around under it, biting her lip in concentration. "Give me a second to find the stamp… Got it!" she exclaims, running back to face them without a bar separation. "Any requests?"
Akane goes first. "I'd like it on my left calf, please? Could I get it in blue, as well?"
Mira giggles and stamps the area she describes. Akari speaks up next.
"I'd like it on my shoulder. Ah, the right one! And when I say right, I mean the direction, not the way! I mean, never mind…" she whispers to herself. "Could I have it in red?"
The maiden quickly stamps the shoulder, the right one, and turns to Fumio. "And you?"
The boy moans. "I don't know, honestly. I want it to be different, but not really at the same time, you know?"
Mira thinks about it for a moment and her mouth presses into a line. "I got it! Take your shirt off!"
"Mira!" Gray calls out. "A bit too forward there, aren't you?"
She pushes him away and looks at the boy expectantly. He blushes and pulls off his shirt, making sure to avoid all eye contact with anyone. Mira stamps Fumio's upper hip and the mark comes out as a perfectly mixed purple. He seems happy with the result and quickly puts his shirt back on to stop further embarrassment.
Master nods in approval. "Okay everyone! I think we all know what to do when we get some new additions to Fairy Tail!"
The whole guild shakes as they reply loudly, "WE PARTY!"
The night passes by quickly. Joy, excitement, laughter, and pure alcohol covered the atmosphere. It's eventful with three new members, and still so young. Then I remember that many of the current members of Fairy Tail were younger than them when they had joined.
And I can't help but smile as new memories, along with some future ones, will continue to pile over this large family of people who were just a bit over crazy.
