Hello! Candela here! I'll just be giving a quick update on a part of the cast as well as their audition tapes so we could get a glimpse on them.
Current Cast of Total Drama: Game of Wits (BATCH 1)
Don Carlos Chavez (Obikinoah): Raised as the middle of 5 kids, Don Carlos is a humble Hispanic teen who is his family's peacemaker whether it comes to his older two brothers, Rico and Armando, his mother and Marcos, his youngest sibling. When it comes to his only sister Nicolita, she considers him as an idol for his personality which led to signing him up for TD. Even if Don Carlos doesn't want to win, still, friendship and family is more important to him than winning the gold. Agreed?
Audition:
A small Latina turns on the camera, looking into the lens. "Hola? Is this on? Hello? Oh, hey!" she waves, setting down the camera on a desk. "Yo soy Nicolita. I'm signing up mi hermano Don Carlos for this TV show. It's his favorite show, and I know that he can do amazing! That's why I'm here. Por favor, accept my brother! He works so hard, and he's the nicest person on Earth, so if you don't pick him, you're missing out! Adios, Candy!"
The girl turns off the camera.
Seredene "Eden" Parat-De Parsel (Candela Monsoon): Born in Berlin, Germany as half German half French, Eden was always on the bold classy style. After suffering in a car accident at the age of 8, it only inspired her to test her skills in martial arts. With her mom being a martial artist in taekwondo, her dad being a professional CIA agent, her brother Arcelo being skilled in fencing, and her sister Serena just about to take a step, she won't stop herself from following their footsteps. Being bold, sneaky, and clever is always part of her own wits.
Audition:
The setting is a bedroom consisting of mostly black and white stuff. Eden comes into the room, tripping over a banana peel.
"Ow!" she yelled as her little sister Serena kept laughing uncontrollably. "What's wrong with you!"
"We're filming your audition, genius." Serena smirked.
"Well, yeah. Clearly, you DID NOT see that!" Eden crossed her arms. "I swear, if someone brought that up when I'm actually in, Imma bust your schoolbooks and turn them into stew!"
Silence.
"Anyway, I hope you'll pick me for your show since I've been wanting to unleash my agent self for so long. You'll see me as incredibly sneaky and who knows, I'll be right behind ya right now!"
Silence again.
"OH WHATEVER!"
Dustin Newton-Obsidian (Obsidian Champion): As Candela's (brother in real life) second degree cousin, why else wouldn't he sign up for Total Drama? Living in a parent-less family with his two brothers, Denzel Obsidian and Aaron Tham-Obsidian, he wants and strives to help them by joining in for a game of wits. He's not the best comedian, but he always tries to entertain his pals any way he wants. He's extremely skilled in chess and math, in which he was the champion in his family back in his elementary years, and still remains until his high school life.
Audition:
We get a view of a decent looking living room while Dustin was playing chess against...
...himself.
"OH SHOOT! Stupid black had to make a check for it!" Dustin yelled angrily.
"Dustin, this is an audition tape." His twin brother said aggressively.
"WAHT! (SPELLED WRONG ON PURPOSE)" Dustin snapped. "I DEMAND A TAKE TWO RIGHT NOW!
*take two*
This time, Dustin was playing chess again and the black side won. It's kinda weird since he's playing against himself.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" he laughed menacingly.
"You're not supposed to laugh like that." Aaron crossed his arms.
"TAKE THREE!"
"THERE WILL BE NO TAKE THREE!" Denzel and Aaron shouted in unison.
"Never mind." Dustin shook his head. "I wanna join because my fellow two bros here have joined TD before so I'm next! I hope you guys pick me since I think I've got what it takes to win. Or pass the merge. Somethin' like that. So yeah BYE!"
The camera didn't shut off.
"I said bye!"
"The cam's broken!"
The Obsidians all tried to turn off the camera but failed.
Saraphina Anne "Sara" Wong (xxPrincxssxx): As the oldest child at St Elizabeth Orphanage in New York City, she is the persevering girl who has to strive in taking care of younger kids in the orphanage, knowing that she'll never be adopted. Being the unlucky girl due to the fact that "she was an orphan lashing out at someone with a better life", she centers herself by letting her take some classes for free like gymnastics, MMA and boxing, intentionally getting her into her first fist fight. And with that, Sara being a troublemaker is going to be one of the 'wild sides' of the class, however, she's still got her sweet side after all.
Audition:
The static clears up and Sara's face come into view, "uh, hi! I'm Sara I'm 16, I-" She gets cut off by a loud crash and a woman screaming, "Sara! Another fight!? You are-" "I'm making an audition video, Linda, so shut it!" Sara snarls. The woman huffs in the background, "That is Ms Harper too you-" "Do you really want to flaunt the fact that you're 65 and unmarried?" "Oh! The only reason I hope you get onto this show is to have some peace around here, even if it will only be for one week!" she snapped. "If you wanted peace, why become an orphanage director? Who has to take care of kids 24/7?" Sara asked, rhetorically. Loud footsteps were heard coming towards her, "Oh snap, she's pissed." Sara chuckled, "so, anyway, I think I should be on the show because I wanna show people though I wasn't raised by loving supporting parents and didn't study like normal people, I am just as good as they are. Furthermore, if I do win, I'll make sure part of the money goes to this orphanage to help the kids here, and the rest will probably come in handy in two years when they finally kick me out of this place." Suddenly, a slipper is thrown at her, but she dodges just in time. "Gotta go, before the old bat decides to throw a high heel at me or something, hope to hear back from you soon!" With that, the screen fades to static.
Janson Alex Marlick (Candela Monsoon): Being the typical 'diabolical gentleman', he's the type you see as flirty, all lovey-dovey, but in the end, all "pathetic", mean, and cruel. He grew up in Singapore in a family of dancers, with him being the youngest next to his older sister, Janice. People believe that he's smart 'in a bad way' so to speak, because of seeing that he can manipulate or backstab, just in his first impression. However, he just claims to be 'a changed man' and vows to never do sh*t again (like breaking hearts of more than three girls), but who knows, maybe he has changed.
Audition:
"Moron! The cam's on!" was the first voice heard. Janice yelled at her brother who was fixing his hair.
"Oh what?" Janson chuckled. "My apologies. Ahem. My name is Janson Alex Marlick, and I come from Singapore."
"Lame!" Janice screeched.
"Oh shut up!" Janson yelled, not getting into his formal self. "I'm a dancer. My whole family is. No need to be specific."
"Psh."
"WOULD YOU STOP FOR ONCE- I mean, I will do anything it takes for me to win. And when I mean anything, I MEAN anything. Get it?"
"You're not good at joking." His sister sneered.
"Never mind."
Janson shuts off the camera himself.
Alexia Turner (Annoyingalarmclock): Appreciating a lot of the horror genre, Alexia is known to be a lover of 'the dark side'. She is not the type to socialize with another person, and rather prefers being a lone wolf. However, she still has a soft spot for her friends, and anyone who cares about her. She grew up collecting different kinds of various rare horror memorabilia and can be egotistical at certain times.
Audition:
*Alexia is outside at nighttime, sitting on a rock.*
"So, I guess I want to be on your show. If you choose me, I can guarantee that there will be plenty of frightening facts. I also love horror movies, so I guess that's even more creepy. I hope to see you in person."
Now here we are, at the intros of the first 6 competitors! Obi and I would really appreciate it if you could answer some of these questions:
1. In this first batch, who caught your interest?
2. Who do you think is a person you may dislike?
3. Any chance of liking any of them?
Note: If your OC is in this batch, I would recommend not to say your own OC to avoid bias.
If you do not see your Penname here, it means your OC is still pending. You can submit another if you'd like, wouldn't hurt a bit! Now, if you feel like your OC won't make it in, please feel free to submit another one! For those who want to submit still, here's what we need:
1. Females. Most of the apps received were males so it'd be nice to send in a female. However, that doesn't mean you can't send in a male!
2. More on the neutral side. Most them are on the good side, most of them are on the bad. We've got none for the neutral so far, but believe me or not, we've got enough villains for this show.
3. If possible, please don't make both of your OCs siblings. Why? It would just be plain weird. For twins, it's obviously acceptable, however, there might be the possibility that only one of them would be accepted.
4. Less OCs with the "social butterfly" or "extroverted" personalities. This is why we only accepted like, 2-3 of them.
ANOTHER UPDATE (10/5/18): For those who have submitted 2 OCs, there will be a chance that only one of them will make it. It all depends on how me and Obi would accept them.
See y'all with the next batch of six!
~Candela
