[REMAKE]
Summary: Natsu Dragneel's life was doing just fine with all the money and women he could have in the world until his blonde ex-girlfriend suddenly barges in his life and asks to take care of their baby. Really now?
.
.
"What the fuck took you so long? Did you really need two hours to have breakfast at a baker shop?" asked Gajeel once Natsu arrived at the living room. Today they were supposed to have a meeting today to discuss about their companies working together. So Natsu wasn't surprised seeing Gajeel coming this early to pick him up and also to have a cup of coffee.
"I met an old friend." Natsu said simply.
"A woman?"
"Yeah."
Natsu placed his coat on the couch without looking while Gajeel squinted his eyes seeing Natsu lying down on the couch.
"You're not gonna change? We have a meeting in thirty minutes, Mr. Dragneel. Just because you're the boss doesn't mean you get to laze around."
"Fine, I'm getting up." Natsu got up from the couch and grabbed his coat to hang it in his room. He turned and remembered his cousin who had been staying over for the last five days. "Where's Juvia?"
"Out with Gray, said they were watching a movie."
"Again? How many times did I tell you I don't like Juvia hanging out with shitty flirts like Gray?"
"Well, Gray is like you."
"And that's why I wanna protect her. I don't her heartbroken in the end when Gray dumps her. Please call them and tell them to go home."
"Now?"
Natsu rolled his eyes. "Now, Mr. Redfox."
"Fine."
"Wait til they get home. Imma punch the ice-fuck right in his guts. I told him not to go any further than 1 meter around her." Natsu muttered as he goes to his room upstairs. Gajeel followed him from behind and told him a few advices that made Natsu's ears burn.
"Listen pinky, you're being paranoid. Ice brain's not gonna hurt your cousin. He even welcomed Juvia nicely and gives her gifts often. I don't think he's playing around this time with Juvia."
"He's playing with her. When the time is right, he's going to get in her pants."
"I swear Fullbuster won't even have the fuckin' guts to do it unless he was bored with his life. And anyway Juvia isn't a fucking kid anymore, she can take care of herself."
Well obviously Natsu wouldn't even think twice to kill Gray if he actually does take Juvia to a hotel. Gray or not, it was Natsu's responsibility to watch over Juvia like her parents asked him to.
"Take care of herself? Even now I still lose her if we go to the mall or some damn playground. She gets lost looking for teddy bear hats, clowns, or cotton candy. Dunno."
"Wow. I can't believe you go to playgrounds."
"She threaten me that she'd go with Gray if I didn't want to."
"Damn, she's good." Gajeel said with a wide smile.
Natsu changed his polo shirt into his office shirt, a pair of pants, and a coat fitted perfectly on his muscular body. He brushed his bubblegum-pink hair, wore his shoes then hurried down the stairs to Gajeel who was already in the car.

What did Natsu lack in protecting Juvia? He doesn't even dare to go clubbing and hunting for girls for his beloved cousin.
"Juvia, open the fucking door or I'll break it down."
Juvia scoffed under the blanket as Natsu screams with all his might in front of her door, banging it with full power and making so much noise that annoyed her.
"Natsu, how many times do I have to tell you? I don't want to eat! Can't you understand that?"
Natsu sighed. Juvia was only two years younger than him, but the woman was acting like a complete five year old and kept wailing. Honestly Natsu was really pissed off, if Juvia wasn't family, he wouldn't even give a damn. He's not the kind of person to persuade other people to have dinner.
"Jellal said you haven't eaten since noon. Get the fuck out or I'll break down this door."
Natsu was acting like a lunatic and the noisy door latch was getting pretty annoying.
"You think I care? You ruined my date! Why do you always threaten to fire Gray? What did he do wrong? You're not being professional because you can't tell which is family and business!"
Juvia stuffed her head in her pillow, trying to ignore Natsu's calls that were getting louder and louder.
"I'll call your parents so they'd send you back home."
"Do it, I'll tell your parents that you lay different women every night! Your name would be wiped off clean from the heritage list. What do you think?"
Shit. Natsu held the back of his neck and stared at the door feeling irked.
"Fine but don't come complaining once you die hungry."
"Oh, it'll be the greatest honor to die and haunt you as long as you live, Natsu."
And on and on goes the war of words. Juvia thought Natsu gave up, but seeing the door shake and hearing the loud booming, Juvia was sure her idiot of a cousin was still trying to break down the door. Well why would she care? It's his mansion, and the damn door was his. He can break down for all he'd like and he'd still be the one to replace it.
"Can you please stop yelling? My head hurts!" yelled Jellal all the way downstairs.
Natsu looked down, Jellal was sitting on the couch with his laptop. He was probably finishing up a project for work.
"What's so wrong in letting them be friends? Gray's not gonna do anything to her. You're over-exaggerating." Jellal voice said still coming from downstairs. Natsu never liked it when people around him were defending Juvia and Gray. It was Gajeel this morning, and now it's Jellal. Wasn't there anybody on his side?
"What's so wrong? I'm just protecting her!"
"You're restraining me!" Natsu could hear Juvia's voice coming from behind the door.
"This is only about eating dinner and you guys are fighting like world war III, I mean, just knock it off." Jellal said feeling frustrated. The tattooed man focused on his laptop once again when he didn't see Natsu on the stairs again.
"This is the last time I'm warning you, get out or I'll break it down."
Juvia cried in frustration until Natsu could hear it from outside. Natsu hated this. He didn't like arguing with a woman who always depended on their tears.
"I'll eat once you bring Gray here! I want Gray!"
Natsu didn't say anything and ran down the stairs with loud steps. He was tired arguing with Juvia. If Juvia cried, it was definite Natsu would lose.
The pink-haired man grabbed his telephone and waited for someone to pick up. Jellal just glanced a bit with no purpose.
"Hey fucker, come here right now! Juvia won't eat because of you! You have 15 minutes or you'll never see her for the rest of your damn life."
Without waiting for Gray to answer, Natsu hung up the phone.
And soon after, Gray really did come in less than 15 minutes. Was he suddenly a racer?
"Where's Juvia?" Gray asked with a bag of take-out he bought on the way. From the smell, Jellal could tell it was chicken soup.
"In her room." Jellal answered while Natsu looked busy watching the TV, pretending not to even notice Gray.
"You're seriously dating her? Natsu was so worried he kept arguing with Juvia every day. I feel like I might move out anytime soon."
"I told you I'm serious. The fire-fuck wouldn't believe me." Gray said while pointing towards Natsu.
"Serious? What if you see a girl sexier than Juvia? I bet you'd jump out of her bed and dump my cousin. Don't take advantage of her just because she's innocent." Natsu angrily said as he placed the TV remote and responded Gray's words.
"Aren't you talking about yourself? I'm not like that."
"W—What?"
Jellal just shook his head. Deep down he promised he'd be in his room by the time Natsu and Gray fought again. Thankfully, they didn't. Gray walked safe and sound all the way upstairs without anyone—or in this case, Natsu—interfering. Jellal could hear Juvia screaming Gray's name with joy, way different than her reaction when Natsu came upstairs.
"This is unacceptable, I have to break them up."
"Is breaking up other people really becoming your hobby?" Jellal said on purpose to mock the pink-haired male.
Of course, Natsu knew where this was heading. Erza. Again. Not wanting to make the peaceful situation bad, Natsu preferred to stay quiet and watched the TV once again even though he doesn't realize what he's watching.

Alzack Connell was seen welcoming his guests with warmth once he saw Natsu, Gajeel, and Jellal visit his restaurant. Alzack opened a culinary business with his wife, Bisca. Today was the opening day for his new branch. He intended to invite his friends exclusively.
"Wow, never knew the busy CEO would come." Said Alzack once he saw Natsu by the door. It was such an honor to welcome Natsu who had been popular these days as the youngest business successor.
"Of course I came, my favorite senior invited me." Natsu said with a simple smile. Alzack was the only one who Natsu wanted to address as a senior because he really did respect him ever since he was younger.
"The restaurant's pretty good, did you design it yourself?" Gajeel chit-chatted.
"No, I did it with my wife."
"So where is she?" Jellal said this time.
"I guess accompanying other guests." Alzack said pointing to a group of women. One of them was Bisca, Alzack's wife. She looked beautiful that night wearing a nice gown.
"You're lucky to have her, man." Jellal complimented.
"I know."
Bisca turned to Alzack and curtsied from afar seeing her husband's friends. She looked like she was excusing herself to her friends seeing Alzack signaling her to come.
Alzack swung his arm on his wife's hip possessively. As if signaling the women next to him is his.
"Say hello, dear."
"Hello, long time no see."
Natsu, Gajeel, and Jellal smiled in response.
"You look beautiful." Natsu complimented.
The green-haired woman blushed being complimented by the most popular CEO. "Why, thank you."
"Ah, you came without a partner?"
"Hm?"
"I meant girls."
The three male looked at each other. Gajeel was first to answer, "My girlfriend is at Crocus, on a tour for her new novel."
"I'm in a bad situation with Erza."
Of course, Bisca knew Erza. She was the woman who Jellal invited to her wedding a few months ago.
"Did something bad happen?" Bisca asked with worry. Alzack quickly whispered in her ear and in only a few seconds Bisca said a long "A" meaning she understood the situation.
"And what about the devilishly handsome Mr. Natsu Dragneel?" Bisca teased.
"He never had a girlfriend, he just plays with them." Alzack chimed as Gajeel and Jellal nodded in approval. Natsu gave them a death-glare and Bisca can only giggle softly.
"You wanna meet someone? I'm sure once you see her you'd fall in love and stop that bad habit and decide to get married. She's beautiful, smart, and has a great personality."
"Sounds interesting." Natsu said.
"You're always interested with women." Jellal said sarcastically.
"So… Where is she?" Natsu asked running out of patience.
Bisca glanced towards the stage, precisely at the person sitting behind the piano. All eyes were on her. Even Gajeel and Jellal were interested, even though they had girlfriends, they were still normal men who would be interested seeing a pretty girl. Other than Alzack who was charmed by Bisca, the pianist's presence didn't affect him all that much.
"Hey, she's my employee." Gajeel said after squinting his eyes to get a good view of the stage.
"You sure?" Jellal said, unsure of Gajeel's statement.
Natsu preferred to stay quiet and listened to his two friends.
The woman bowed to the audience before sitting down in her spot. She was wearing a white gown down to her knee with laces at the end. Her blonde hair was let down beautifully as the lights maid her hair shine. And it felt like any man would want to run their fingers through her hair.
And the sounds of the piano began to play. The slow tune entering everybody's hearing senses. The blonde pianist was playing every tune beautifully with her soul. She was feeling the song she was playing very well. The melodic tune caressing anybody's ear who was listening.
Natsu was focused as he paid attention to the blonde. His blood felt frozen hearing someone play the piano with such a beautiful voice. His gaze never leaving the blonde even for a second.
After waiting a few minutes, the song finally ended. The audience applauded for the excellent performance as the blonde bowed and gave a small smile. She turned her head once she heard Bisca calling her from afar.
With grace, she walked down the stairs by the stage and walked up to her friend. The blonde was too busy congratulating Bisca for her new restaurant's opening she didn't notice three other men with them.
"I want to introduce you to someone." Bisca said enthusiastically.
"Who?"
Bisca pulled her friend until she was facing Natsu. Her surprised face could be seen clearly, but she tried to cover it. She looked at Natsu and thought to herself. After coincidentally seeing him in the baker's shop, was it a coincidence this time? Very amusing.
"Lucy, this is Natsu. Natsu, Lucy." Bisca was still trying to pair up her two friends without knowing Natsu and Lucy were in a relationship before.
"Hi, I'm Lucy Heartfilia. Nice to meet you." Lucy took out her hand and smiled nicely, acting as if this was the first time she ever met the pink-haired male in front of her. With no other choice, Natsu chose to shake his hand with Lucy. "Natsu Dragneel."
"I know."
"You know?" Alzack asked.
"Isn't he the young CEO everyone's talking about? You're so popular, I see you on articles and television often." Lucy said. On the other hand, Natsu looked amused seeing Lucy's acting. Why didn't this woman just say they know each other? What was the use pretending this is their first encounter? Heck, they even shared a bed together.
"Would you like to have a walk, Miss Heartfilia?" Natsu asked with no expression whatsoever on his face.
"I don't mind."
Bisca smiled seeing Natsu and Lucy who were getting along quickly. Other than Gajeel who was wining how lucky Natsu was, while Jellal looked confused. He was sure he's seen Lucy somewhere, but he wasn't sure, or maybe it was just his feeling. Although he was sure Lucy looked familiar.
Natsu and Lucy left the party earlier than they were supposed to. They stood in front of the restaurant where it was quitter than the noisy atmosphere inside.
"Why did you act like you didn't know me?" Natsu asked to the point.
"Then what was I supposed to do?"
Natsu scoffed. What else? Just say they know each other.
"You want me to tell them I dated you? That we slept together and I'm bearing your child?"
"I never told you to say that." Natsu replied. Somehow, he could feel the situation getting hotter. Lucy didn't looked to be in any mood to talk.
"So?"
"Just say we've met before, so I don't have to pretend in front of them."
"Then why didn't you say that?"
"You were the one who got everything wrong."
"Yeah, my fault. It's always been my fault."
Natsu lifted his eyebrow feeling confused.
"My fault meeting you. My fault giving you all my trust. My fault giving my heart to you. And in the end you throw me like trash."
"What is with you?" Natsu looked at Lucy whose eyes started to water. When they were talking about the baby, she looked just fine. But why was she suddenly talking about her feelings? Lucy should've known Natsu never liked to commit anything from the start.
The blonde sighed heavily and walked away, Natsu following her after and stopping her.
"Why are you suddenly like this?"
"Remember at the baker shop? When you asked me if I was fine?"
"Yeah."
"I lied. Fine, it's always been my fault for loving someone like you. I was too serious and you were too childish. I should've known you dated me so you could sleep with me."
"We talked about this, okay? Don't you ever say you changed your mind and ask me to marry y—"
"Of course not! I'm still sane enough not spend the rest of my life being your wife."
Lucy walked away, this time with Natsu leaving her as he punched through the air. He felt angered by this woman somehow. And it had never been like this. But with Lucy leaving like that, everything seemed depressing.
Jellal ran towards Natsu and saw Lucy going further and further.
"Who was that?"
Natsu stared hopelessly at Jellal. He knew Jellal wouldn't forget about Lucy easily, not with them seeing each other a lot of times. Natsu barely introduce his dates to Jellal, but Lucy was one of the few hundred women who Natsu addressed as luck. Because at that time, Natsu invited them to stay at a villa overnight with Jellal and Erza.
"My ex."
"I was sure I've seen her, but I forgot. Too many girls you introduce to me." Jellal said.
"We had a barbeque party with her."
Jellal looked drowned in his thoughts. After nearly a minute, his expression turned brighter. "Oh yeah! That ex. You dated her the longest."
"Yeah, we did." Natsu answered soullessly.
"What were you talking about? Are you getting back together? Or were you dumped?"
"What do you mean 'dumped'?" Natsu said unacceptably. Dumped was not in his dictionary.
Jellal slowly nodded. "Looks like you got dumped."
"Wh—you're kidding."
"Bet! I bet you'll be having her back."
"That's impossible." Natsu said quickly. It was obvious enough Lucy wouldn't even think about marrying him. Doesn't that mean he has no chance?
"Fuck, you're being pessimist. Lucy changed a lot, she's obviously prettier, why would she want to date an asshole like you?"
"HEY! W—what am I lacking? I'm handsome, I'm rich, I have houses, cars, money—"
"You don't have feelings."
Natsu froze. Feelings? Well, that sounded quite mean. Jellal patted his back with pity.
"You never involve your feelings in a relationship, all you have won't help. Open your eyes, Natsu. How long are you going to spend your time playing with a girl's feelings? I really don't care about all those girls out there that you dumped. I care about you. You've never even felt love."
"You guys here?" Gajeel said suddenly catching up to Natsu and Jellal.
"What's with him?" Gajeel squinted his eyes seeing Natsu's expressionless face that was quite unusual.
"Heartbroken, just got dumped." Jellal said.
"I knew you'd be like this."
"Gajeel, you have glue?" Natsu said in a cold tone.
"For what?"
"To shut your fucking mouths."
Natsu looked annoyed and stared at his two friends. "Never mind, let's go home."
