Sam drove her car to the only place she could think of going at the time. As she pulled up to the very familiar house she wiped away the tears that managed to escape from her eyes. After making herself look somewhat presentable she got out of the car and walked to the front door.
"Sam! Oh my god what are you're doing here?" Lily said as she greeted Sam with a hug.
"Hey Lil" Sam said softly.
"You didn't tell me you were coming down. I mean it's great that you're here it's just a..." Lily stopped in mid-sentence when she realized how puffy and red Sam's eyes where. "Are you okay?" Sam shook her head no.
"Can I come in?"
"Yes of course" Sam followed Lily into the house. As they made their way to the living room Sam spotted a picture of the old gang. She picked it up and smiled. Then to the far right she noticed a picture of herself and Brooke.
"Don't you wish you could go back in time and relive all the happier days?" Lily gave Sam a confused look. "I saw Brooke today"
"Oh"
"I knew I should have called first before going over there but I still went to the palace anyways. I wasn't expecting her to answer the door" Sam said as she took a seat on Lily's couch.
"How'd did that go?" Lily asked as she took a seat next to Sam.
"Not too good"
"Did you see..."
"No I didn't" Sam said shaking her head. "But she wanted me to meet her"
"Don't you think it's time Sam?"
"Who's side are you on?" Sam said a little defensively.
"Yours you know that but whether that little girl is yours or not she's still part of your family"
"Family? What family? If you haven't noticed I've lived by myself for the last five years. I have no family."
"And whose fault is that? No one told you to leave"
"I had too. There was no way I could be in the same place and see Brooke everyday carrying someone elses baby"
"Then what are you doing here? It's not your mom's birthday or Mac's you have no reason to be here" Sam sighed.
"I...I miss her" Lily gave Sam a sad smile.
"I know you do"
"I'm just tired you know. I've isolated myself for five years thinking I was doing the right thing. Staying away so I wouldn't hurt but it only made things worse. I still hurt everyday and it's not even because she cheated it's because she's not with me now"
"Maybe you should be telling Brooke this and not me"
"I can't. I want too. I want to talk to her but then when I hear her voice I just get angry and my walls come up"
"It's time to bring those walls down Sammy. If you love her still you need to fix this before it really is too late"
"I guess" Sam said as she shrugged her shoulders.
"No guessing. Talk to her so you can become the family you always wanted to become with her"
"The family we wanted didn't include Harrison"
"Well now it does" Sam nodes in agreement.
"Hey Lil"
"Yeah?"
"What…what if I meet her and she...she doesn't like me?"
"She's going to love you" Lily said with a smile.
"But what if she doesn't?"
"She will. But you're never going to know until you meet her. She's really adorable Sam. She's like a mini Brooke" Sam let out a small laugh. "It's actually pretty cute. For Halloween Brooke dressed her like a cheerleader and the two of them well three if you include Harrison went trick or treating around the town"
"Great" Sam said sarcastically. Lily got up from the couch and grabbed the phone throwing it at Sam.
"Here. Call Brooke. Tell her to meet you somewhere so you two can talk"
"But..."
"No buts Sam. It's time. You came all the way down here for a reason. You said you're tired well step up and stop being tired and be happy finally"
"I hate you sometimes you know that" Lily smiled before leaving the room. Sam took the phone in her hands and stared at the numbers before finally finding the courage to dial Brooke's number. After a few rings Brooke answered.
"Hello?"
"Umm….hey"
"Sam? Sam is that you"
"Yeah, you think …you think you could meet me at Logan Park tomorrow afternoon?"
"Of course. Are you okay though?" Brooke asked concerned.
"I'm fine I just need to talk to you"
"Umm...okay. I'll see you tomorrow then"
"Yes tomorrow bye" Sam clicked the phone off and smiled.
