He knew her by sight, but better by reputation. She was one half of the golden team, the pride and joy of One Police Plaza. He and Olivia had even worked with her and her partner, the whackjob of the force. He couldn't stand Goren, and even more he hated being compared to the whiz kid.
Her hair fell around her shoulders as she nursed her margarita. She was alone, and so was he. Absently his thumb ran over his newly bare ring finger. The papers were signed and custody had been worked out almost two months ago, but it was almost like he expected to go home anytime and pick up where they had left off. "Is this seat taken?"
She shook her head, smothering a smirk as he sat down.
And the alcohol worked its magic…
The next morning, Elliot awoke to a throbbing in his head. He groaned and reached out for a warm body to pull into his arms, but all he found was cold sheets. Frowning, he sat up. There was a note on his nightstand, and his brow furrowed as he read it.
Thanks for last night.
Alex.
The End.
