I do not own Naruto.
The academy years passed quickly. Naruko had moved into Anko's flat during this time and daily went on, the villagers slowly forgot the brightly dressed jinchuriki named Naruto till he faded from their minds. A veil of happiness descended on the village hidden in the leaves, and all those who remembered the knucklehead shinobi in training had to wonder what the cost of it was and if that cost was worth it.
The academy – graduation day.
The Shinobi academy of Konoha was abuzz with the sound of hopeful students, yet one class sat in near silence as their teacher handed out the written portion of their exam. The graduation class of C7, lovingly nicknamed the heirs class, were sweating under the killer intent being pumped out by the classes red head. Naruko stared down at her mortal enemy with pure unrestricted loathing, it wasn't like she was bad at written exams but she simply hated how they went on and on about thing she deemed unimportant, and thus never listened that well in class, and the fact that this then made up 40% of their final mark while the entire practical exam including jutsu knowledge, taijutsu and accuracy only made up 60%. No wonder the once feared shinobi on Konoha were considered soft by the other nations.
Naruko looked around at her surroundings, the wooden walls of the academy had become a second home to her now that the bias hate or the teachers had fallen. Turning quickly back to her test she filled in the sheet in record time thanks to her naturally augmented memory, the answers weren't very detailed and some was guesswork but she was sure she would pass. Spending the rest of her time analysing her class her gaze fell on a boy that irritated her to no end, Uchiha Sasuke. The imbecile had the gall to try, and ultimately fail, to gain her affections. She turned him down for the reasons many would not expect, the main one being that he was far too pompous and immature for her tastes. That was another facet of her new life, after many talks with her mother and Anko she had discovered that while she leaned heavily towards girls boys did have their appeal and after a rather disillusioning talk with the Sandaime she had discovered that to take her role of clan head, she would need to have, for lack of a better word, a harem with at least one male. This had thrown her through a loop and after a vicious shouting match with Anko she had given in and accepted that she would have to take a boy into her clan even if only to sire an heir. After this she had tried to keep her eyes open to both sexes and found that men did have an appeal of some sort.
She was dragged from her thoughts by the teacher calling them for the physical exam. She scored perfect on the physical trials and successfully pulled of the substitution and transformation technique, luckily they didn't touch her as her transformation was physical rather than an illusion. Cycling her chakra down to the seal on her naval, the Kyuubi put a leash on most of it leaving enough to perform the lesser cloning technique. Ten clones appeared next to the stunned teacher as he handed her headband. Sitting at the back of the room she closed her eyes and allowed a small smile to cross her lips, her quest to become the next legend had finally begun.
