Chapter 2
Killian was confused and curious when he walked home to his dorm that day with his bag over his shoulder. Emma was amazing and he really liked her like he hasn't liked anyone in a long time. He couldn't understand why she became so upset when she found out that he was Liam's brother.
"Hey! Wait up!" Liam called and came up beside him. Killian cast a glance at him and kept going.
"You going home, brother?" Liam asked and walked beside him, but Killian stopped and turned to him.
"Do you know a girl named Emma Swan?" He asked which made Liam stop in his step. He slowly turned to him and looked surprised.
"How do you know about Emma?" He asked. Killian shrugged and raised an eyebrow at his brother.
"She was a girl that I knew long ago. We met at high school and she was wonderful until the day she cheated on me with my best friend." Liam said and looked at the ground. Killian didn't know what to say. Emma seemed so nice and so good.
"How do you know her?" Liam asked again and crossed his arms.
"I met her in the hallway and again in detention. She seemed nice." Killian said, avoiding his brother's eyes.
"Well, be careful around her. She can be deceiving." Liam said and continued going towards the boys dorms, but Killian headed in the other direction. To the girls dorms.
A soft knock was against Emma's door. She sat up and dried her eyes before she slowly opened the door.
"I thought I told you to stay away! What didn't you understand about that?" Emma said and walked away from the door, sitting on her bed again. She careful placed her baby blanket over her legs.
"I talked to Liam and he told me about what you did to him." Killian said and closed the door behind his back and let his bag fall to the floor. Emma's head snapped around and glared at him.
"What I did to him? What the hell did he tell you?" Emma yelled and stood up.
"That you cheated on him with his best friend." He said and crossed his arms. Emma laughed ironically and struggling to keep the tears from escaping her eyes, but to no use. The tears rolled slowly down her cheeks.
"Of course he would pin it on me. That bastard!" Emma said to herself before tuning to Killian again. "He was the one that cheated on me! He told every dirty little secret about me to his new girl, than he cheated on me! He broke my heart and made me an outcast at school!" She practically screamed.
"I…I didn't know." Killian said and took a step closer to her.
"Of course you didn't know. I guess he wouldn't want to mess up his golden boy reputation. He fooled you, just like he fooled me!" Emma said and sat down on her bed again with her knees under her chin. She felt so hurt and betrayed like high school all over again.
"I'm sorry Swan." He said and sat down beside her, putting a hand on her leg.
"Yeah, well, you don't know anything about me or my life. I don't know you." She said and dried her eyes.
"But I would like to know you. I am nothing like my brother, love. I got detention on the first day back to school and Liam has never even heard of the word detention." He said half joking, but it made Emma laugh a little so he kept going making jokes about Liam.
Later, they sat on her bed talking for a while before she fell asleep in his arms. Killian had one arm around her and his head on hers. Her head were propped on his shoulder and an arm on his chest. Killian loved holding her, she fit perfectly in his arms and she felt like home. Soon Killian fell asleep to with a smile on his face.
The next morning, Killian woke up in Emma's bed, but Emma weren't in it.
"Swan?" He called, but saw her in the corner in the room in front of a mirror, half naked and quickly looked away.
"Don't look." She said, continuing dressing. "I was going to wake you, but I had to change clothes and I have a class that starts in ten minutes. So if you could just help me zip up the dress, we could be on your way and I don't need to repeat detention, again." She said in a hurry and pulled her hair away from her back.
Killian got out of the bed with a groan. If it was something he hated, it was mornings, especially when it was a school days. He walked across the room to her and put a hand on her hip and then pulled up the zipper of the blue dress that revealed her bare back. She was soft under his touch and he put both of his hands on her hips. Their eyes met in the mirror, his blue with her green.
"Good morning, Swan." He whispered in her ear, but didn't let go. Emma nodded and walked out of his arms. She picked up her bag and handed him his.
"Let's go." She said, avoiding his eyes and walked out her room. Killian sighed and followed her.
Emma sat on the edge of the indoors pool at campus with her feet in the water, thinking about the Jones brothers. Kilian seemed so nice and so gentle, but she had thought the same about Liam and that ended so well! She was determined to not let Killian into her heart or too close to her life, but if he was like his brother; that would never work.
"Well, Swan, I guess we are having our second date now." Emma sighed as Killian came walking towards her in a white t-shirt that she could almost see through and shorts that went just above his knees.
"Our second date? Did I miss the first?" She asked and rolled her eyes at him. His handsome smile was in its place when he sat down beside her, sticking his feet down in the water.
"Aye, detention was our first and now this is our second." He said and looked at her. Emma smiled a little, but it faded fast.
"I know I don't know you, Swan, but can't you at least give me a chance to try?" He asked and took her hand. "Let's start with something easy, like your family." Emma sighed and looked at him.
"No family to tell about." She said and smiled a sad smile. Killian's eyebrow went up again and his smile faded a little bit.
"No one?" He asked and Emma looked away.
"No one." She repeated. "I was found on the edge of a highway beside a diner when I wasn't even 10 minutes old by a 7 year old boy. I was shipped to a foster home to foster home. When I was 15 that's when I met Liam. He took care of me at school and stood up for me when I got bullied, but then a new girl caught his eye. He told her everything about me and the next day everyone ignored me and called me things I'd rather not say." Emma had no idea why she told him everything, but it was nice to tell someone.
"I'm sorry, Swan. I promise your secrets are safe with me." Killian reassured her and took her hand.
"That's exactly what he said." Emma said and quickly dried away the tear that escaped her eye.
"So, why are you sitting here in the first place, love?" Killian asked after a few minutes of silence.
"The water helps me think." She simply said and looked at their hands that were entwined.
"Looks like we have something in common than. The water is like a second home to me." He smiled to her before standing up, dragging her up with him.
"What are you doing?" She asked when he pulled his t-shirt over his head, showing his flat six-pack stomach.
"We, Swan, are going to have a race." He said and looked down her body. She was wearing a way to big t-shirt over her dark blue bikini, but he didn't seem to care by the looks of his face.
"Okay than. You have no idea what you got yourself into, mate." She said, trying to copy his accent at the last word.
"Keep working, Swan. One day you might be a little closer than that." He said and watched her pulling her own t-shirt over her head, revealing her flat stomach and her bikini. He was stunned to the point where he couldn't speak.
"A problem, Jones?" She asked challenging and started walking towards the diving blocks.
"No, not at all." He said, clearing his troath and followed her. "Okay, first one to touch the other side of the pool wins." He stepped up on the diving block and looked at her.
"And what does the winner get?" Emma asked and rolled her shoulders.
"A kiss." He said and raised his eyebrow with a smirk. "From the loser." Emma smiled challenging to him and blew a kiss to him.
"You're on." She said and got ready. Killian smiled one last time before doing the same thing.
"One, two, three!" With that they dived into the pool. Emma felt the water surround her and she smiled. She could faintly see Killian swim in front of her, so she picked up the speed and in no time she was in front of him. Seconds later, her hand touched the other end of the pool. She broke the surface with a smile.
"Well, Swan, seems like you won." Killian said when he touched the wall. Emma smiled a victory smile and felt very proud.
"I know." She said and looked up at him. With a fast movement he had her in between his arms, looking her into her eyes. Emma's breath became uneven and she had her hands on the back of his neck.
Slowly, their lips met. A perfect match! Their wet bodies was pressed against each other and Killian let out a small groan when he picked her up so her legs where around his waist. Emma felt like home.
This chapter was more fluffy and cozy then the other one, but I really needed that! Want more of this then just say it!
