I sighed, rocking on the balls of my feet.

"I don't know how we're going to explain this. What Cover could we possibly have for going shopping without Rose?" I asked, running a hand through my hair. Lissa scoffed and gave me a dark look.

"I'll handle that comrade. I'll come get you in ten minutes," She said. I nodded, running a hand through my hair and sitting back down on the couch. I was so nervous. More nervous than I had been when I had asked Janine and Abe for permission. Speaking to Lissa had been the most nerve racking moment of my life. If she didn't agree to help me then I didn't know how I would manage finding a ring. Almost fifteen minutes later Lissa returned with a smile. I stood up and almost knocked over the table.

"How did you-" I began. Lissa smiled.

"I guilted her into it. Talked about how for the last few years she's been in my head and how this is my first real chance to surprise her," she said, shrugging. "It was easy really,"

I nodded and began picking at my nails as we walked towards the car.

"I've looked at a few stores. One is reasonably close-by. But, I want this ring to be perfect. It needs to be perfect," I babbled. Lissa raised her eyebrows and widened her eyes.

"Wow, you get real talkative when you're nervous," she told me. My smile faltered and I ducked my head murmuring sorry. Lissa smiled and slid into the passenger seat.

"Your highness, you should really be in the middle position it is the safest spot," Lancaster said, reaching out to help Lissa out of the car. She turned round arching an eyebrow and staring at the guardian. His face paled and he mumbled sorry. Sliding in beside the other guardians in the back. I smirked and looked at her out of the corner of my eye.

"Very nicely done," I told her. I made my way to Bruno's fine jewelers, it was reasonably close by and was close enough to get back in case of emergency. We got out of the car and I gave Lissa a nervous smile. She entered the Jewelers and grabbed my arm pulling me inside. I glanced around at all the rings and felt my stomach flip. I felt sick. I looked at Lissa in alarm.

"How am I supposed to pick the perfect ring for her?" I asked. Lissa took my hand and I suddenly felt a lot calmer. I shook myself. I had to pick a ring. I glanced around the shop and turned to Lissa.

"Platinum?" I asked. Lissa nodded and smiled at me. I made my way over to the rings and sighed. They were all beautiful, so beautiful. But, none of them really said Rose. I looked at the rings and begged for one of them to jump out at me. Lissa gestured at a few, but I shook my head. Plain they were all too plain. I needed something that resonated with my soul. I needed something that I looked at and I just thought Rose. I pursed my lips and scanned the next row of rings. Lissa smiled and leaned against the counter to get the attention of the assistant. The assistant smiled and walked over to us. Lissa smiled.

"My friend here is trying to find an engagement ring for his girlfriend. But, we need something totally unique, like her," Lissa said, giving him a wide smile. The assistant nodded and smiled at us.

"I'll get our designer collection," he said, going underneath the counters. I leaned closer and scanned the rings. They were beautiful, intricate and outstanding rings. I sighed and shook my head.

"They're just not Rose," I said. I ran a hand through my hair; I was never going to find it. I was never going to find the perfect ring. The assistant looked up at me and locked his eyes on to mine.

"Did you just say Rose?" he asked. I nodded and he grinned.

"Just one minute Sir," he said, quickly putting the other rings away and turning his back on us. He opened up another cabinet and used his key to open another display box. He stood up, turning round with the tray of rings. My eyes fell on it instantly and my heart warmed. I had found the perfect ring and I knew that Lissa agreed. She let out a small gasp and grasped my arm, squeezing it.

"That's Rose's ring!" she exclaimed. I nodded.

"That's Rose's ring," I agreed.
