#2, Unprofessional
Title: YouTube and Parents
"Percy, button up your shirt. This is supposed to be a nice gathering of friends."
"Piper, just because were thirty and have kids doesn't mean we have to dress like were thirty and have kids."
"Just button up your shirt Percy. You don't want to look unprofessional in front of Jason, do you? He's a big time author now. I've even heard he has glasses."
"What does that even have to do with anything? He has vision problems, so what?"
Piper sighed, quickly putting a feather into the end of her braided hair. The Grace's had invited them, The Zhang's, and the Stoll's over for dinner. Although Percy had demanded that they pretend that Zoe was sick, and that Luke couldn't be left alone with Coach Hedge, Piper had refused.
So there they were, in their little subdivision bedroom, getting ready to go have a "formal dinner" with the gang. Piper had dressed herself in a knee-length black dress, with these small heels. Percy, on the other hand, had decided to wear some faded jeans and a Fall Out Boy tee-shirt, which Piper had immediately rejected.
She had given him a nice, black button down and a nice tie. Percy, however, had other ideas.
"What if I had no tie, and buttoned this up all the way?" Percy said, silently hoping.
"If you did that, you'd look like a dork." Piper replied, turning away from Percy to go check on Luke and Zoe.
"You're a dork," Percy muttered as she left the room.
"Would you like to share with the class, Percy?" Piper said.
"You're beautiful and lovely and I wish I could find ways to love you more!" Percy said, with a little more than a touch of sarcasm.
"That's what I thought!"
Grumbling, Percy started to tie his tie. After a few minutes of fumbling and tying and untying, Percy realized that he didn't actually know how to tie a tie.
After a few curses against the gods, Percy pulled out his phone. After quickly opening YouTube, Percy proceeded to look up "how to tye a tie". After picking the third result (because the first was always a fake), he watched the video. Than another. Than another. Until thirty minutes later, Piper checked up on her Husband to see him having a YouTube session. Grumbling, Piper pulled him by the collar to the car.
Percy hated the addictiveness of YouTube.
