No one could find Kai. Everyone looked for him; everyone was worried. Jay admitted he heard something the night before. Though he didn't know anything else, the others still kept asking. Then someone knocked. Happy to get away from the questioning, Jay answered it. A girl around 13 or 14 with long, jet-black hair and shining icy blue eyes stood there, a red backpack slung over one shoulder. She was wearing a grey t-shirt with a bright blue star in the middle and a matching blue skirt.

"We can't deal with fangirls right now," he said, starting to shut the door.

The girl put her foot in the doorway to prevent it from shutting all the way.

"My brother has the fire ninja," she said in an odd accent.

Jay swung the door open quick as lightning. "What?!"

"Let me in and I will talk."

She stepped in and immediately said, "Frater meus vult in virtute sua." She slid her backpack off on the ground, but they weren't too worried about it now.

"Why are you speaking gibberish?"

"It's not gibberish, it's Latin. She said, 'My brother wants his power.' "

"Cole, why do you know Latin?"

"Marty Oppenheimer." The way he looked at the others told them not to question him further.

"Why were you speaking a dead language? And may I ask your name?" Zane said to the girl.

"Ego sum Luna."

Everyone looked to Cole.

"What? I'm not a translator."

"Tell her to speak English or something."

"Fine... Um... luqui anglicus."

"Why should I?"

"Cause Twinkletoes over here is the only one who understands you," said Jay. Cole elbowed him.

"I am Luna, daughter of Nox, and the name of my brother is Ignis. Latin is my first language and more easy for me."

"Why does he have Kai?"

"He does not yet. My cousin called Stella has had him since the skeletons brought Kai to him."

"Wait, skeletons? I thought we were done fighting them!"

"After Lord Garmadon left the Underworld my brother took over. He knew the Skeletons are idiots and easy to, quomodo ergo tu dicis manipulare?" (How do you say manipulate?)

"Manipulate," Cole answered.

"I knew that."

"Then why'd you ask how to say it in Latin?"

"English is difficult, and I am stultus." (stupid)

"You're not stupid; you're pretty good at this actually."

"Ignis never messes up. He even knows slang. What does it mean to be like a boss?"

Jay laughed. "Slang? Maybe you should learn contractions first."

Cole looked at the other ninja, then looked at Luna. "You shouldn't compare yourself to your brother," he said in Latin.

"What did you say?"

"And I would tell you that why?" Cole replied.

"He told me not to compare myself to my brother," the girl answered. Cole facepalmed.

"Maybe she is stupid," he muttered.

"I knew you did not want me to repeat it. I have been called annoying on many occasions."

"I see why."

She ignored him and instead said, "It is so different here than on the island."

"What island?"

"That is personal, blue ninja. If you ask again I will not speak English anymore."

The golden ninja walked in at this time from the bathroom. The girl drew an imaginary slash in the air from her head to waist.

"What are you doing?" Zane asked as Lloyd said, "Who is she?"

"Ego sum Luna," the girl said.

"Not this again! We can't understand you, and it sounds like you're talking about waffles."

Luna gave the master of lightning a confused look.

"You know, Leggo my Eggo?... Forget I said anything."

"I wanted to introduce myself to the golden one the same as I did you to show he will not get special treatment from me. My name is Luna."

Suddenly all of them heard screams and ran on deck. Zane and Jay went to one side as Cole, Lloyd, and Luna dashed to the other. Peering over the side at the city beneath them, Cole realized, "We're not landed! How did you get up here?!"

"That is also personal."

The earth ninja rolled his eyes as Jay shouted,"There's a guy on fire down there, but he's not acting like he's hurt or anything."

"Is it Kai?"

"Yeah, because Kai attacks civilians and shrunk about a foot. I'm gonna land."

Luna ran over to the other side and leaned overboard. "That is Ignis," she said as Jay went back inside.

"HELLO, IGGY!" she yelled down.

A voice coming from the figure silhouetted in crimson-red flames said in the same odd accent Luna had, "I already warned you I'm gonna start calling you Loony if you call me that one more time."

Luna looked at the ninja. "I still do not get why that is funny to him."

"You see, loony means to be crazy and or silly," Zane whispered to her.

The others laughed, though they barely heard him.

They were still pretty far from the ground when the girl jumped off the deck and landed on her feet in front of the figure.

"Are you O.K?" Cole asked her from above.

"I am fine, sir."

The fire around the figure extinguished, revealing a boy an inch or two taller than the girl with fiery red eyes. His dark hair, which was the same shade as Luna's, was pulled back in a ponytail at the back of his head and he was wearing a crimson hoodie with dark jeans. He was barely any older than Lloyd had been when he released the Serpentine, but somehow a little scarier.

"Did you just call the earth ninja 'sir?' " the boy laughed.

"Yes, brother. I could not recall his name."

"I'm pretty sure his name is Cole. Are you here to be torched?"

"I am not. I would like to know what you have done to the red ninja."

"Why are you talking like that, my geminus? You sound so polite, but I know you aren't."

"Do not call me that. I am ashamed to call you brother. I will not call you twin."

"We're only dealing with some little kid?! Gees, you made me think he was way older than you," Jay interrupted the 'family reunion.'

The Bounty had landed and the ninja had gotten off.

"I'm 14!" the boy exclaimed.

"Do not underestimate him," Luna warned.

"Yeah, that wouldn't be smart," Ignis agreed, holding out his hand in front on him as it caught fire.

"He's kinda like Kai."

"I am nothing like Kai! I... I am better than him?"

"That was a question."

"I am better than him and I will prove it by stealing his power with no help other than Scarlett's."

"You just told me your plan, stupid, but who is Scarlett?" his twin asked him.

"Scarlett is Stella's new name. She changed it."

"Why would she do that?"

"Same reason she hasn't dyed her hair yet. To be unique."

"There are people named Scarlett."

"She said it matched her appearance."

"Stop talking about me!"

Suddenly standing behind Ignis was an girl in her early 20's with the right of her long pigtails being brown and the left being pink with red bits.

"Wow..."

"Hello," Luna said.

"Where's Kai?" Cole said menacingly to the newcomer, who he assumed was Scarlett.

"He is somewhere where neither he or you will get in or out."

"Is he in your apartment?" Luna asked.

"Yes. I mean, no! He's definitely not there!"

"You dummy! I said take him somewhere he couldn't escape, and you brought him to your apartment?! Quare fecit ego fiduciam tibi, stultus puella?!"

(Why did I trust you, stupid girl?!) Ignis shouted.

"You, um, switched languages," Scarlett told him.

"Facere tibi putas ego stultus?! Ego scire ego mutata mea lingua!"

(Do you think I am stupid?! I know I changed my language!)

"Calm down, kiddo. You know I wasn't raised on the island."

"Could you bring the conversation back to the fire ninja?" Luna asked.

"Was that the one you liked? Or was it the earth ninja?" Scarlett teased.

"Non faciam sicut quis eorum!" (I do not like any of them!) Luna yelled.

"Can you repeat that, only a little slower?" Scarlett replied.

"Ego potest duratus tibi!"

(I can freeze you!)

"Does duratus means freeze?"

Luna whirled around to face Cole, her eyes now completely blue with no whites or pupils. Her fists were turning a blueish-white.

"He is fire, I am ice. Did you think otherwise?"

"I didn't think you were anything, actually..."

"The twins of fire and ice? Sounds like something straight of fantasy," Jay commented.

"Does not spinjitsu, dragons, and many aspects of our daily lives seem straight out of fantasy?"

"Be quiet, Zane."

"Ignis! I almost forgot! I talked with the fire ninja, and there's something important you need to know about him! It's the reason I left him alone. I was scared the sight of his friends could... cure him."

"Cure him of what?" Jay asked, worried for his friend.

"We can't talk here. They're right over there," Ignis told his cousin.

"What if you spoke Latin? Few know the language nowadays. "

Cole brightened at the possibility of discovering what was wrong with Kai.

"Exactly. Few, not nobody. And what about Luna? We're going to your apartment, end of discussion."

The duo started to walk away.

"Are you going to let them go?" Luna said to the ninja. Her eyes were back to normal.

Ignis stopped suddenly, having heard his sister. "Yes, are you just letting us go?" he said, turning around while Scarlett continued going, "I expected a fight from either you guys or my twin."

"I disown you! I do not wish to be related to a... bad guy?"

"I don't think you can do that," Ignis said before turning around and running to catch up to Scarlett.

"Where's Scarlett live?"

"I could show you, but it would not be wise to go immediately."

"Why not? We can take them!" Jay said.

Her fists were glowing blue-white again, only this time darker. Zane noticed this and wondered what it meant.

"I assumed that too; I only came to you because I lost many fights before learning of his plans. He melts me and it burns..."

"What do you mean he melts you?"

"My ice is a part of me. When Ignis melts it, I feel the burn. He has never touched me and I still have scars."

"I don't see any-"

"Jay!"

"I do not mind saying that my clothes hide them."

"Cool."

"It is not cool, stultus puer!"

(stupid boy)

"You and your brother use that word a lot. What's it mean?"

"Stupid," Cole replied.

"Hey! It's not my fault they use a super-old language that I don't know!"

"No, stultus means stupid," Cole said as he and the others laughed a bit. Jay went red and looked down at his feet.

"I heard screaming earlier, but I haven't seen anyone. Have you?" Jay said to change the subject.

"They probably fled or something. I mean, how often do you see a flaming kid?"

"That is understandable."

"You keep reminding me of Zane when you speak. No offense, Zane."

"None taken, brother. Are you and your twin the only other ones with elemental powers?" Zane asked, having wondered about that for a short while.

"No. You saw Stella- I suppose her name is Scarlett now. She goes so fast you don't see her move."

"I am sorry, but that doesn't answer my question."

"She shocks people. And Adam... throws rocks."

"He throws rocks?" Jay repeated.

"I could not find the right words. It is..."-her face brightened- "a lot like the earth ninja, but he is bad like my brother. He is still in the island's village."

"I don't suppose you know someone with all 4?" Lloyd said, realizing she had just described their elements.

She stopped to think for a minute. "Yes. She is a... I do not know. She lives alone and no one has seen her for years. She is old by now."

Jay and Cole snickered.

"What about Adam?" Lloyd asked.

"He is strong and I used to trust him. Then he and Ignis betrayed us and I fled the island. Ignis followed me and found out about the ninja. Have you heard what happened in Birchwood Forest, I believe it is called? I apologize, I assume you would not care to listen to my life story..."

"No, go on! What island?"

"Tibi iam oblitus, caeruleum!" (you already forgot, blue!)

Cole face palmed. "Seriously, Luna! People make mistakes."

"Non mihi curae est! Vos potest interpretor; Scio intelligis mihi, Cole." (I do not care! You can interpret it; I know you understand me, Cole.)

"You're frustrating, you know that?"

"(Latin) Thank you." [a/n: I'm sick of running everything through Google Translate.]

"What island?" Cole said in Latin as he smirked.

"(Latin) Maybe I shouldn't speak at all."

"Just answer the question!"

Luna said something the others didn't understand, and Cole's eyes widened. "Please tell me I misheard that! The Dark Island?!"

"If that's how it translates..." Luna said in English, laughing, "I thought it was 'other half of Ninjago'."

"People can actually live there, like, full time?"

"I lived 14 years," Luna shrugged. "(Latin) The Overlord may not have known of our existence. Then we had to be extra careful when you dumb ninja came along. Fortunately we lived on the other side anyway and for some reason you never went back there. (English) Sometimes Adam and I or the other village kids would watch you. We thought your clothes looked weird. Stella thought it was cool Jay had the same powers as her, except for the tornado thing. So far only I can do that out of the 4 of us, and even then barely. Stella's older than you guys by a couple years at least. How old are you anyway?"

"You realize you haven't been speaking Latin for the past minute?"

"So? Maybe I can speak English as well as Ignis can."
