"Don't bind yourself from the guilt of your past mistakes, just work hard to never make the same one, for that is the truest way to grow"

She had trained all her life to fight the Grimm and protect her village, but now she was alone in the woods, still but a child.

Onyx kept forcing herself forward, tired and beaten and emotionally exhausted, cuts and bruises covered her body, she kept feeling liquids flow from her eye down her cheek but was far too scared to check them.

When she was attacked she only barely managed to survive but at an immense cost, a long slit went across her face and through her eye, splitting it open and letting any fluid previously contained in her eye out, it was incredibly agonizing to even keep moving but she knew civilization was only getting closer so she kept trudging onwards, her body nearly collapsing after every step.

She felt her arm burn and itch and ache as it had shriveled into a wrinkled pink blob from the burns traced across it, her red blood making an almost pretty view as it painfully drips down her scorched flesh.

She winced with each step but she knew she couldn't stop moving, if she died she would fail everyone she lost, after a couple dozen miles of this trek, she couldn't even cry she felt frozen in fear and shock with barely any thought in her head she kept walking.

After a moment she saw their glowing red eyes tracking her, her hands went down to her weapon without a thought, she felt safer with Majesty at her fingertips.

A Beowolf jumped from the shadows at her, she swiftly spun Majesty from It's strap on her back, in one motion it spun completely around and smacked the Beowolf out of the air and back into it's hiding spot.

But before she could react another jumped out at her and knocked her to the ground, she was worried as her aura had only been somewhat developed so she only had a small amount of defense against any attack which had only just regenerated since the attack.

The Grimm swung it's arm up with he intent to bring I down and rip her to shreds but last moment she moved Majesty in front of her face, blocking the Beowolf's attack as it roared in agitation

She began to felt tears of stress begin to rush down her cheeks and burn against her cuts, she felt around on Majesty for a split second before finding the button, she pushed it inwards.

Majesty began to shift, each quarter of it going inward further than the last but going back down with each quarter after the halfway point to create a crescent shape resembling a bow, the first two quarters shot out string that connected.

The Grimm's claw was still settled against the bow and it's head was behind it's hand, she held Majesty with her burnt arm and winced as she had to fight the Grimm's strength with her injured limb, he other hand went behind her back and stretched for her quiver.

Her hand began trembling as it started to tire, it could barely fight the Grimm anymore but she finally managed to wriggle an arrow out but she couldn't set it in with how the Grimm's claw was so she had to use all of her strength to do a risky manuever.

She threw the claw into the air and quickly set the shot up and fired the arrow into the Beowolf's head before the claw could come down and kill her, the Beowolf's head split into two as the arrow went through his skull, the hand began falling limply but completely evaporated before reaching her head.

She stood slowly, knowing that there was only a few miles left to civilization, but as soon as she stood her legs began wobbling before giving out on her completely.

She returned to Remnant with a rough this as her head got even more scratched up, she began to sob tiredly, her tears only rushing down her face and puddling on the ground, her cries only served to alert the other Grimm hiding amongst the trees.

An Ursa revealed itself and began moving towards her, she didn't have the energy but to do anything but cry.

But once the Ursa jolted it's head forward, going to bite at her face but her instincts kicked in some sort of last minute energy reserve as she lifted Majesty and readied another arrow, pulling it back and releasing the arrow last second into the Ursa mouth.

The Ursa flung back by it's head and fell over onto it's back, she stood up and looked at it, her body still shaking as she could barely stand anymore, the Ursa began to stand back up and she readied another arrow.

Onyx was now going to try a different tactic, she used three different arrows and tilted her bow vertivally, the arrow at the top had a green arrow head, the arrow in the center was yellow and the arrow at the bottom had a dark blue arrow head.

She launched the three arrows into the Ursa, the dark blue hitting it's feet and freezing it into the location, the dark purple arrow hitting it's head and causing it to be lifted upwards it's feet still keeping it to the ground by the ice but it looks as if it's standing now, the yellow arrow hit it in it's stomach and caused lighting to flow through it, it jolted about for a bit until it was eventually ripped in half by the gravity and ice dust fighting.

It quickly began evaporating, Onyx had finally calmed down and had felt an odd since of pride for her victory, she fell to the ground once again.

But she wouldn't stop moving.

She turned Majesty back into a pole with the button and put it back into it's straps.

She slowly began crawling.

More like dragging.

Her burnt hand digging into the ground and sliding her body further.

Her bloodied fingers leaving a trail of blood with each pull they did.

She was tired and her legs stopped moving but she couldn't stop moving forward.

The moment she stopped moving forward was the moment she would fail everyone she had lost along the way.

It was a long time but she eventually made it to civilization, she stayed on the streets and in anyone's home who would let her stay but she'd never stay for more than a night as she didn't want to burden them so she'd leave.

Once she recovered she enrolled at Signal and continued her training until see eventually got the chance to enroll at Beacon.

She got in.

This was not the end of her hardships.

This was not the end of her failures.

This was not the end of her victories.

This was not the end of her story.

This was not the end of her.

And she wouldn't let it be.

Not until she did it right and fixed her past mistakes.
