Tamsin squinted at the light as Bo faded through into oblivion. She was finally alone once more. She stood abruptly, replacing her hard exterior with the reality of her present state: fear, loneliness and regret. She was Tamsin, great Valkyrie, or at least, she had to be for their sake. For her sake. Her heart hurt, if that was at all possible. She had seen and done terrible things over the course of her long lifetime. She had met, fought and even deeply cared for a number of people, fae or otherwise. But Bo? She was different.

How could the woman not notice that her heart quickened when she was in the room – and it wasn't entirely for her body. Tamsin kicked at a stool and stood by a window. Contemplating her choices. The choices, which led her back in that room, with those whom despised her. If only Bo would remember too. But Bo wouldn't remember yet, because Bo had yet to 'wake up'. It was a burden she had accepted at the time but now that she was returned to her, it was cruel. Down right shit really.

She clenched her fist and sighed, tossing her golden locks to the side and grimacing at the blank dry walls she would have to learn to tolerate once again. Her mind cast back to where it began…

1832 – Yorkshire, England.

Tamsin smoothed her dress down, taking care to not crinkle the soft material. The layers she wore were plentiful and she couldn't quite appreciate this century's obsession with covering every square inch of themselves for fear of displeasing a god they knew nothing about. She sighed into the night air, England was incredibly cold, she pulled her throw closer around her shoulders and rounded a corner, leading to a small ally way. The floor was covered in small brick and stone cobbles making it difficult for her to approach her target quietly.

She quickened her pace and pulled out a small dagger from her leg, readying for her targets inevitable demise when she found herself being knocked into a wall. She huffed as she hit the cold brick wall and rose her cold blue eyes to the individual who dared interrupt her.

She was met with rich cocoa brown eyes, full heart shaped lips and even in the dim light of the fire lamp above them, she could see the woman's symmetrical face, long bound hair, with swirls of brown locks sitting around her neck in an orderly manner – she was, quite simply. Stunning. Striking even.

"Apologies miss" Tamsin swallowed at hearing the sing-song melody of the strangers voice "I didn't see you there". The woman reached down to help Tamsin compose herself, touching her shoulder lightly, looking deep into her eyes, Tamsin felt something snap within her. She couldn't say what exactly, but she knew the stranger felt it too.

"N-no of course. Thank y-you" she stammered in reply, grimacing at her own stupidity. "I should have been taking better care in looking where I was going" she admitted. She could get so focused on her mark that she could lose all track of what was occurring around her. It was a child's disposition, an error that would rectify with age and experience, her sisters had advised. She had groaned at their condescending, all knowing tone and stormed out. Perhaps, they had held some merit after all.

The woman smiled, it lit her whole face up showcasing perfect cheekbones, with a dusting of freckles over her young face. She looked to be around the same age as Tamsin, or at least the age in which Tamsin appeared to the non-fae world.

"No please, the fault is entirely my own, I was in such a haste, my mother does not allow me to be out quite so late" the woman admitted. She stood taller and Tamsin noticed she was slightly taller than she was, which was surprising. "It would seem I will displease her this evening" she sighed. "I am sorry, I am talking when you appear to be in haste yourself, please excuse my rudeness" she smiled, it reached her eyes and they held such a light in them that, for the first time, Tamsin smiled, truly smiled, in return. She felt it then, in her heart, a shift, a warning. The mistakes that follow were entirely through her own stupidity and youthful arrogance that she did not heed to its gentle warning.

"I believe I, too have missed the time in which I was due to meet the other party" Tamsin admitted, grimacing at the prospect. However, she made no rush or attempt to leave the cold, dank ally, surrounded by tall stone and wooden buildings with chimneys smoking high into the sky.

"Shall we walk the way back together?" Tamsin nodded in agreement, despite her better judgement and began walking next to the strange, beautiful woman.

By the time she reached the end of the short ally way her companion turned to her and dazzled her with another smile. They were more concealed in this small nook and she couldn't help but lean towards her with an eagerness she couldn't fathom.

"Please forgive the abruptness, but might I know your name?" the brunette enquired, tipping her head slightly to the side as if an animal trying to figure out something.

"Tamsin" she smiled and shook the woman's hand. Completely baffled by the night's turn of events. Her sisters would not be pleased, but they lost marks often enough and she was young with plenty more to learn about what and who she was.

"That's an unusual name" the woman grinned, her eyes shining. "Forgive me, my name is Isabelle, although you may call me Belle, if you wish".

"That's a pretty name" The comment rewarded her with another dashing smile.

"I must admit, I am glad to have run into you Tamsin" Tamsin could only nod in agreement but shuffled from foot to foot. She sensed something about the young woman, she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"And I, you" They made eye contact, and Tamsin forgot to breath when she saw the woman's eyes flicker from a deep cocoa, to an ice blue.

She didn't feel anything other than pure ecstasy as the woman hungrily leant down, and kissed her.

~ Present Day ~

Tamsin

Tamsin recoiled at the unpleasant memory. The woman in question had taken her for a young fool, feeding off her was to be a mistake for both of them, and it is only now that Tamsin is reaping the repercussions of falling in love with Belle all those years ago. She kicked another stool, fighting the tear that threatened to escape from her watering eyes.

Because Belle would soon die, and it would be decades before they met again, only in that lifetime, Belle was not quite Belle.

Her new name was Bo and it would be too late for them. It was too late for everyone.

Tamsin watched out of her small round window, grimacing at the fire and chaos that the outside promised.

She hoped Bo and Kenzi were safe. And armed.
