If you are reading this, I want to thank you in advance for finding my story interesting so far! As a heads-up, the misspelling of the word "hobbies" is done in purpose.
Patrick went back to his rock to brainstorm different hobbies he could do whenever SpongeBob was gone. He got a sheet of paper and a chewed-up pencil and started writing. The first thing he put down was the title.
"Hobbys," he wrote. "By Patrick Star." He stared at the empty list for several minutes, drooling on the paper, when he got his first idea.
"How about something that involves Squidward?" he wondered aloud. But what could he do that Squidward would actually be interested in? Finally, he got it.
"What about a music store?" Patrick scribbled the thought onto the list. "Yeah! That could work! Squidward loves music! Now I just need to think of stuff to put in the store."
That required some thought. Of course, clarinets were one of the instruments he needed, but what else? He eventually came up with enough to fill up the store. By the time he was finished, his writing filled both sides of the paper and some of the wall. He decided to keep his new hobby a secret from SpongeBob until he had set it up. The next morning after SpongeBob left for work, Patrick went to town in search of a place to set up shop.
Another short chapter... It's not intentional, it's just that this looks a lot longer on WordPad and handwritten.
