Sister of the Pharaoh: Hey guys! Ready for chapter two? I know I am! Let's do this!

Disclaimer: I own nothing

Yoko and Hiei continued to walked down the hallway that was dimly lit by Japanese oil lamps. They were headed to the spare room that Miyuki was resting in. Yoko waned to see how badly hurt Miyuki was, and figure out how she end up being caught by Creed. When they arrived, they noticed standing outside the door with Yusuke was a girl about a few inches taller than Hiei.

She had long black hair and navy blue eyes with a small scar underneath her left eye. She was dressed in a red shirt, dark gray pants, a black trench coat and ankle folded black boots with sliver buckles. She also wore a sliver locket around her neck. She turned to see Yoko and Hiei walking towards them and smiled gently. Her name was Ritsuka. She was Yoko's head guard as well as Hiei's partner.

Ritsuka also happened to be Hiei's lover.

However they tended to keep that a secret. Not because they had too, Hiei just wasn't ready to admit it yet. Ritsuka didn't think he ever would be. Hiei also had a hard time showing affection, since he hardly received any growing up. He was still having trouble understanding these feelings. Even so, Hiei still tried to show his love, in his own way. As long as Ritsuka knew that Hiei loved her, that was all she needed to know.

"How is she?" Yoko asked Yusuke and Ritsuka as they approached them.

"Physically and mentally she's wreck. She's been starved for at least two weeks, beaten, and scared terribly. The poor girl can't even lay still without shaking." Ritsuka explained.

"I can't even imagine what kind of torturer that ass put her trough." Yusuke added.

"Yes, small demon villages both half and full demon alike have suffered greatly ever since these demon hunters came about. Now that I'm the nature kingdom ruler, I can ask for aid from the other kingdoms to hopefully take each demon hunter group out. They cannot be allowed to reek more havoc than they already have." Yoko said.

"In the mean time, we need to figure out how to help that poor girl. She doesn't have a home to go to, and we can't let her leave in the state she's in." Ritsuka pointed out.

"I have a plan for that. Don't worry Ritsuka." Yoko explained.

He also agreed that Miyuki shouldn't just be abandoned. Especially after the hellish nightmare she just went through. Merely thinking about the pain she must have endured, brought back horrible memories for Yoko. Memories he strongly wished to forget. Demon hunters were the reason his mother died, and they were the reason why he vowed to wipe them out.

Just then one of the guards keeping watch outside, ran up to the group quickly. In a panic, he explained that there was a large group of demon hunters outside of the palace. Hiei's eyes narrowed as he spoke.

"Sounds like Creed's fellow hunters have come to avenge their fallen master."

"Go out and give them a proper welcome, won't you Hiei?" Yoko asked with a deadly smirk.

Hiei smirked as well as he nodded in reply.

"As you wish. Yusuke, Ritsuka, come with me. We must show these fools who their dealing with."

"Oh, hell yeah." Yusuke agreed as he punched his fist into his free hand.

Ritsuka nodded as well and followed the two men to the court yard entrance. Yoko turned towards the door and slowly slid it open. His eyes seemed to glow in the dark of the dimly lit room as he walked inside slowly. The room was a bit more modern. Although it was still a traditional Japanese style room, it had a wooden dresser and a four poster canopy bed. With soft, silk white curtains that were tied back.

Miyuki shivered under the covers, scared of who might be walking in. Even more scared of what was going to happen to her. Was the new ruler planning to use her as a sex slave, just as she was suppose to be? Or would she be sent away with no where to go? Miyuki had little to no fighting experience at all. She wouldn't be able to defend herself on her own. These thoughts of fear consumed Miyuki's mind.

She didn't even realize Yoko's presence until he placed a hand on her shoulder. Miyuki's eyes shot open and she bolted straight up to see Yoko standing over her. His eyes, the color of a new moon were cold. They seemed to give off icy waves to anyone who looked into them. Yet at the same time, Yoko's eyes were also very enchanting. They seemed to draw Miyuki in with their mysterious glow.

The young girl was quickly shook from her thoughts the moment Yoko talked to her. His voice deep yet smooth as he spoke in a quite tone of voice.

"Do not be alarmed. You're safe, Miyuki. No one here will hurt you."

Miyuki couldn't help but gasp at hearing her name come from Yoko's voice. She kept eye contact with him while he sat down on the side of the bed and continued.

"You will stay here in this room until you heal. Once that is done, you shall stay and live here with me."

Miyuki gasped in fear, thinking that Yoko was going to keep her as a sex slave. She quickly tried to get up and run, but her body was far too weak to do what she wanted. Miyuki shut her eyes tightly and began to cry, shaking once more. She tried once again to get up and leave. Desperate to escape from her fear when she felt Yoko placed both hands on her shoulders.

Which only made her fight back more as she pushed against Yoko's arms with what little strength she had. Yoko could easily see that Miyuki was terrified. He had to ease that fear or she was only going to make herself more distraught. In an attempt to calm Miyuki down, Yoko pulled Miyuki into a strong embrace. Despite her still trying to push away and scream, he continued to speak gently.

"Stop, don't push yourself. You can barely move as is. You'll only cause your body more stress if you don't. Please, You're not in danger, I swear."

Miyuki tried to keep struggling at first, but she stopped the moment she took in Yoko's scent. Tried and weak, Miyuki rested her head against Yoko's chest. Her sob's becoming soft whimpers as she felt him rub her back tenderly. Whispering gently in her ear with a soothing tone of voice.

"That's it...Shhhh...it's alright. Just relax...Breath for a moment, hear my voice and calm yourself."

Almost instantly Miyuki was calm. She opened her eyes and breathed softly as she gazed once again into Yoko's. A gentle smile graced his face. Something that was quite rare to happen and almost never seen. Yoko however, couldn't deny that Miyuki was quite cute. With her innocents and charming face, he could see that she was a pure hearted women. Yet her sad and tearful face cause a small pain in his chest as well.

After a few moments, Miyuki tried to speak. Yoko kept silent so that he could hear every word accurately.

"P-please...I know, I'm your gift...but please..."

Yoko could tell what Miyuki was going to say and realized what he said that made her so upset. He silenced Miyuki by placing a finger on her lips. Yoko then pulled out a deep, red rose from behind his hair. It was such a deep red, that you would mistake it for black from a distance. Miyuki's eyes went wide as she noticed the flower, mesmerized by it's beauty. Yoko held the rose out to her carefully.

Making sure that she was mindful of the thorns. Once Miyuki smelled it, she finally began to stop shaking as a relaxing feeling ran through out her body. She then looked up into Yoko's entrancing gaze once more. His golden eyes locked with her ruby red ones. As if they were looking into one another's souls. Finally, after being sure that she would hear him out, Yoko spoke. Cupping Miyuki's face as he did so.

"I apologize. From my words, you must have assumed that I was going to act on that man's sickening idea and make you my sex slave."

Miyuki nodded nervously as Yoko continued to speak.

"You need not worry. For I have no intention of doing such a thing. You may have been brought to me as a gift, but I assure you that you will not be treated as an object. I simply wished to extend an offer for you to stay here. Since I assume that you have no where else to go."

Miyuki nodded and felt relaxed at hearing Yoko's words while she smiled. She didn't know why, but felt as though she could trust him. Yoko smiled and placed a hand over Miyuki's in comfort. Secretly vowing that he would always protect this girl. This innocent women, who needed someone to count on. Yoko was then shook from his thoughts at feeling Miyuki's hand grip his Kimono.

"Excuse me, your highness-" Miyuki started, which Yoko interrupted by placing a single finger on her lips.

"I already told you, not to call me that. Just Yoko is fine."

"O-oh, alright...Yoko." Miyuki said with a small blush.

"Ah, much better. I like the way my name sounds from your voice. Now, what is it?"

"Well, I appreciate your offer, but I can't except. I want too, but Creed has fellow hunters that are dangerous and refuse to give up. At any moment, they'll come charging the castle and-"

"You have no reason to worry about them. You are quite correct in them coming. But I assure you that my trusted friends, who are gifted warriors are taking care of them with ease as we speak. They won't even get past the front gates. You have my word." Yoko said with a smirk.

Yusuke, Hiei and Ritsuka headed out with quick speed to the front court yard. Once there, they found at least seventy or eighty men.

The fire of battle burning in their eyes as they stood outside the entrance. All of them with deadly weapons in hand, ready to attack and lay siege to the palace. In front of the group, stood a man who appeared to be the second in command. He was dressed in red pants, a gray jacket and white boots. His eyes were a yellowish green while his hair was dark blue and straight, hanging over his face.

Hiei smirked with a confident glare in his eyes. His ego showing in his voice as he spoke.

"Heh, this is it? That man spoke like he was the demon hunter of a god. And this, is all the men he had in his troop? I won't even have to use my mortal flame to defeat them."

"Yeah, just try to save some action for us too, alright Hiei?" Yusuke said as he cracked his knuckles.

The second in command then took a few steps forward and spoke loudly, making a declaration.

"Warriors of the forest kingdom! Stand down! Give us your ruler who has killed our leader and we will let you live!"

At hearing this, Hiei laughed. He could see that these guys were clearly amateurs who were running on the thrill of excitement alone. Hiei could also tell that they were no challenge at all compared to him and the others. His eyes turned to Yusuke at hearing him laugh as well. Flexing his muscles and staring at the group with a determined glare as he spoke.

"Seems these guys have no idea who their dealing with, huh Hiei?"

"Apparently. They obviously think they'll win because their greater in number." Hiei answered.

He then walked a few steps towards the group and spoke with a threating tone f voice.

"Don't ahead of yourselves! If you fight as badly as your leader did, then your fools for even coming here!"

"WHAT!? How dare you!" The second in commanded exclaimed as he quickly drew his sword.

After which, Hiei continued.

"At this moment, we will give you one chance to retreat. Leave now, or prepare for your end."

"CHARGE!" The second in command declared.

Choosing to not heed the warning and lead his fighters into battle. Unaware of how foolish and in vain their efforts would be. Hiei sighed in annoyance and quickly drew his sword. Ready to fight as he spoke.

"I don't even know why I bother giving these fools a chance anymore. Yusuke, take out the front forces but leave the leader. Ritsuka, you're with me."

Yusuke and Ritsuka nodded before the three of them took to the fight. Both Hiei and Ritsuka were fast, so they went behind and took out the back forces. Hiei fighting with his sword and Ritsuka fighting them bare handed. Punching them so hard that they died instantly. Yusuke took out the front with his spirit energy combined with his fits. With barely any effort, the three of them took out the group that attacked them.

The leader stood there dumb founded. Within seconds, every fighter he had was on the ground. Dead or injured so badly that there was no hope for them. The leader became scared, shaking nervously as he turned around to see the three fighters. Standing there completely unharmed. Without thinking, the leader charged. Going after Hiei in a rage. He didn't noticed that a sword was across his neck until it was too late.

"You're as reckless as your actions. Too bad." Hiei said as he finished the man off.

Letting the body fall limply to the ground as he shook the blood off his sword. Hiei then turned to his friends as they all headed back inside.

"That was pointless. What a bunch of fools." Hiei commented.

"No kidding. All the demon hunter clans are gonna get whipped out completely if this the best they can do." Yusuke agreed.

Hiei then noticed that Ritsuka wasn't beside him. He turned to see her standing over one of the bodies. Glaring at it with anger. Ritsuka truly hated demon hunters, for they took away something precious from her. Something that she could never get back. Revenge was the only thing keeping Ritsuka going. It was why she joined with Hiei and became a fighter for Yoko's kingdom.

Terrible memories in black and red flashed across Ritsuka's mind. Screams of fear and pain filled her ears. These things made Ritsuka's fist shake in anger until she felt Hiei's hand placed upon it. She shifted her gaze to Hiei's eyes with a questioning look in them. Silently asking what was bothering Ritsuka as sadness ran across her face. A moment of silence was shared between them before Ritsuka finally spoke.

"These were nothing more than weaklings fooling themselves. Real demon hunters are much more vicious."

"Dwelling on the fear won't change anything. You have to keep moving forward if you want you're revenge." Hiei said softly.

He then pulled Ritsuka along with him. Trying his best to ease her anger by just staying at her side. Finished with their task, three headed inside. While the trees Yoko planted outside used their roots to pull the dead bodies underground. Using them as their food, as well as cleaning up the mess. Leaving no trace of a battle having ever been fought.
