'A Chrono Crusade Fanfiction'

Prologue

A young man walked out of the shadows of a tomb, his legs were cracking with each step . His hair was long, a strange shade of violet, pulled back into a messy braid. Pools of red as enchanting as rubies scanned the horizon for anything familiar. He had the apperance of a twelve-year-old boy, but no one knew the secrets hidden beneath his skin. His ears, pointed at the tip, caught the distant sound of a crow cawing desperately, as if mocking him. This was no ordinary boy, he was indeed, a sinner. 'How long had I been sleeping?'

October 1989

Veterans Memorial Hospital

"Sir! The baby's coming!", shouted a white scrub-clad nurse. She stood in the doorway to the front lobby. A man sat across from her, figiting ferociously.

The man rushed into the emergency room as soon as he heard the words roll off of the nurse's toungue. He saw his wife in labor, with his future son. He heard many shouts from the room, but the were all just a blur to him as he stood in shock at the sight. His thoughts were interupted soon after as he heard the screeching cry of a new born baby, then the sound of rushing water and MORE yelling. He turned to his wife, and she smiled and whispered for him to come to her. When he reached her, he entertwined their fingers as she whispered three simple words to him. As soon as her mouth closed on the last word, her hand went limp.

They held a funeral only a few days later, his eldest child watched the baby as he prayed over the dead womans grave. She was not sure why they were burying her mother. That woman was Justine Christopher, mother of Joshua and Rosette Christopher.Only two weeks after the funeral, Joshua Christopher Sr. was reported dead to the New York Times. It seemed he had hung himself in his closet, from depression of losing his wife. Now, Joshua Christopher, not even three weeks old, must live in an orphanage and raise himself, from help of his sister, her being not two years old. They now live in Michigan, at The Seventh Bell Orphanage. They don't know now, but later in their lives, they will meet someone from the past that joined them on a journey that changed their lives.

A/N: That was alittle...depressing (sweatdrop). I'm sorry it's short, I'll make the next one longer, promise!
