Taneleer's lungs deflated as he sighed, looking over the remains of his collection. He sighed again as he thought of me, upstairs in my room crying.
She's crying because of me. I hurt my Mallory...
He took a deep breath and stood up from the shattered pieces of glass. He then went up the stairs to my room.
Tivan knocked on my door. "My Mallory, I know you're crying. May I see you?"
"No! Go away!"
Tivan sighed deeply, unlocking the door flawlessly. "This is my home, my Mallory. I can enter any room I wish."
"Doesn't anything keep you out?" I cried. "I don't want to see you ever again."
Tivan approached me cautiously. "I must apologize, my Mallory. I love you. I would never hurt you. You are becoming my wife soon."
I looked at him as if he were crazy. "I'm not your anything. We're not married and we're not going to be."
He sighed. "I understand that I've upset you very much. Please, give me another chance to prove I love you."
Tivan's chocolate eyes pleaded me to reconsider.
Finally, I gave in with a frown. "You intrigue me, Taneleer Tivan."
His eyebrow arched up and he looked at me in wonder. "You do as well."
The Collector Kissed me fiercely before relenting. A soft sigh escaped his lungs. "I think you can help me rebuild my collection, my Mallory."
I smiled.
