The Doctor lay down on the floor of the Tardis. For over a month now, he and Martha had been "an item". Martha was thrilled of course, but every now and then, especially when he looked at the secret picture in his wallet, he felt a pang of guilt. The Doctor loved Martha, of course he did, but he couldn't see where their relationship was heading. If he got in too deep like last time, with Rose, he'd fall for her, and they'd grow old together, but sooner or later, Martha would die, and the Doctor would live on, forced to remain on a planet where he could feel all human feelings-except death.
Martha on the other hand was ecstatic. She and the Doctor had finally……gone to the next step. She'd managed to persuade her siblings how great her and the Doctor were together. They were happy. But her Mum wasn't. She'd been practically disowned, but her Mum would not see sense. She knew too much.
Suddenly, the Tardis jolted. Martha sat up, pulling the bedcovers around her chest.
"Doctor?" Martha giggled nervously
"I have no idea….." The doctor said.
The computer screens all around the Tardis flashed, electric wiring collapsed from the ceiling, the Tardis began to whirr and whiz almost excitedly.
"Tardis? Where are we going?" The Doctor asked anxiously. In all his time on the Ship, this had never happened. Actually, now he came to think of it, the last time Sarah-Jane was in trouble, the Tardis had taken him to her…..
But Martha was right here with the Doctor. Unless…..
