The Ski-Resort
Chapter 2
The Barge of the Dead.
A/N: Its time to carry on this story... I'm going to go slightly towards the edge of where I took the story before... And see if there was a better way around it. Bear in mind that events that lead up to Clear Card, etc, do NOT apply to this story.
Enjoy!
A few hours after the events that led to Eriol being taken far away from Sakura and crew, Eriol was sitting on his bed with his head in his hands.
"I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't hav-"
Eriol lamated himself over and over until he couldn't bear it anymore and stood up, summoning his magic to himself and causing an almost whirlwind to whip up around him.
"I SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO DO THIS!? WHY ME!" He screamed at the top of his lungs.
The distressed magician poured most of his magic outward until he couldn't bear his own shining symbol and collapsed backwards onto the bed.
A pair of rining bells had Eriol freeze in mid-motion.
"Wait...What was..."
Eriol turned his sights slowly towards the window as a shadow loomed across the window - Causing all light to be blocked out. A series of hands could be seen from the edges of what looked to be a long rectangular shaped ship.
Eriol narrowed his eyes as the barge came into view.
"Reincarnation of Clow Reed - Your time has come."
Eriol summoned his staff and stood as bravely as he could, but his legs were shaking. Clow Reed had suffered at the hands of this barge pulling Keroberous and Yue out from it many years into his previous life ago but it coming for him now... Maybe he could stop Sakura from being sucked into its clutches?
Eriol pulled all his hope to himself and walked to the front of the mansion when both his guardians, Spinel Sun and Ruby Moon both were out the front door in their true forms, both guarding him it looked like.
"I can handle this." Eriol took in a deep breath as Spinel and Ruby looked at him.
"Master Eriol, this is something that perhaps you need to not be present for. We can protect you."
Ruby nodded. "I agree with Suppie, Eriol."
Spinel got rather irritated at the nickname but chose to ignore it - For now.
The Sun was getting down across the horizon but by the time the bells rang again with the spirits singing - The Full Moon was out with a blood red tint to it... Nothing was happy. Nothing positive... Eriol was in a bind.
He needed more power but that would mean getting Sakura and even Syaoran involved...
Wincing, he made the vow to never EVER include Sakura and pulled back his staff.
"Spinel, Ruby. Listen to me, for I will only say this once."
Both his guardians nodded, glancing at him before turning their attention back to the barge which loomed overhead.
"I will offer myself to this thing. I want you both to go to Sakura-san and tell her she has nothing to fear. She will be safe...Forever."
Ruby's eyes widened. "You can't expect me to just, drop my responsiblity towards you Master Eriol! We have a responsiblity! Our duty! OUR HONOUR!"
"Honour is nothing when you are dead. Or worse... Detacted from your physical body."
Spinel shivered. "Good points... But we can't leave you Eriol."
"Enough."
Eriol looked up towards the Barge as did Spinel and Ruby.
"This is not up for negotiation. Your time has come Clow Reed's reincarnation - Eriol. You will be captured and taken to the Asylum Sanctuary."
Eriol felt a shiver be sent up his spine as he summoned a shield in front of his guardians and stepped forwards. "Over my dead body."
"That's the idea."
Eriol felt a slight smile tug on his features. He was known to be quite the mychevious magician so what was he planning? Who knew? Not even his guardians knew...
And time was running out...
To Be Continued...
Sorry for the small chapter... I just can't think of what to write right now!
