(Yuuki's POV)
A foggy haze covered my mind, attempting to seduce me into staying asleep. Turning in the soft sheets, I couldn't help but open my eyes groggily, glaring at the tendril of the morning sun persistently blinding me. Looking around, I suddenly began to panic, the foggy haze of sleep deprivation suddenly vanishing. Where was I, and how in the world did I get here?
I lurched upwards, fully intending on barreling out of the room, but just as fast as I had sat up, I had fallen back down. A pang of nausea flooded my senses, blurring my vision and sending pain warping through my skull.
I remembered everything that had happened—Kanama and Ruka… kissing. Zero trying to comfort me as I fled, and the man who covered my mouth and knocked me out, and my waking up in this cabin. Why me...? What did I do wrong to deserve this?
I slowly sat up, but just as it did before, a wave of nausea and dizziness crashed over me forced me to lie back down, my vision finally clearing up after a short while.
I was in a small cabin-like home, and I could still smell the scent of the trees and foliage that surrounded my school. That was good, but I still had no idea where I was. I was laying on a bed with sheets that smelled dusty, as if nobody had lived here for years. Vines crept through cracks in the walls, giving a nature and abandoned effect on the cabin.
A dark chuckle sounded from the shadows of the room, my head snapping towards the unfamiliar sound. A man no older than 19 or 20 suddenly darted from the blackness, crashing down on top of me. He quickly grabbed my arms, pinning them above my head and using his legs to pry mine open. His weight was enormously suffocating, leaving no room for me to struggle as valiantly as I had wished I could've. It felt like lead was flowing through my body as I tried to fight.
"Having fun there, Sweetheart?" He said with a voice that was full of dark intentions and malice. Sweetheart? Really, that's the best you can come up with? What is this, some old 1950's romance novel?
I tried to struggle, but I was no match for his weight. What did this guy eat, bricks and concrete mix? "It's no use trying to move; there is a drug in your system that makes you slow and lethargic. Very convenient, isn't it?"
Oh great, why do I always attract the creepy weirdos?
"You know, if you stop struggling, I might not kill you. You smell... intoxicating." He growled, leaning down towards my neck and nipping my ear. Fear laced through me, and I began to realize that I wouldn't be able to escape.
But I'll be damned if I wasn't going to try.
(Zero's POV)
"Damnit, Yuuki!" I cursed, darting through the vines and undergrowth that snaked through my path. It seemed like the world didn't want me to find Yuuki, but I didn't care. You don't always get what you want, do you? Following her scent trail, I couldn't help but wonder if she was alright.
I felt awful, knowing that I couldn't help her recover from what had happened. Usually, I wouldn't feel remorse for anything, but I couldn't help but notice this unfamiliar sensation blooming in my chest. Oh god, I sound like some sappy romance novel or something. I'm not in love with Yuuki, though, of course not. Love is a useless emotion after all, and I don't need anything hindering me from my revenge. Right now, I really wanted to kill Kaname for his stupidity. It's obvious that she was in love with him, and he didn't even go after her!
He had tried to talk to me after Yuuki tore off into the forest, explaining what had happened, and it sickened me to no end. He didn't even seem remorseful for hurting Yuuki, and it took everything I had not to pump his guts full with Bloody Rose. She didn't need to see that, and he could've at least told her about Ruka and his relationship.
I wanted to kill him, but first I had to find Yuuki.
I ran into a moonlit clearing, and that was where it stopped. Her scent just vanished, as if she had disappeared into thin air.
As I looked closer at where it stopped, there was a small amount of blood spattered on the ground, and next to it...
My blood ran cold, ice filling my veins as I stared at the one object she would never drop. I could smell her fear all over the ground, and couldn't help but recoil at the thought of Yuuki being gone. She was the only person who tried to get close to me, and now I might never see her again.
It was her Artemis, laying on the ground, and it was obvious she had struggled.
Taking a shuddering breath, I quickly scanned the ground for more evidence, and could only find the faintest impression of footprints in the damp dirt, and the scent that it held, although light, made my heart stop.
Yuuki wasn't kidnapped by just anyone, she was kidnapped by a Vampire.
Pleaseee R&R? :3? Thank you. I don't know if this is longer, if you have any suggestions feel free to PM me. I'll edit through ASAP, and hopefully will remember my plot :D!
Love you guys.
