"Gramps! Grand! I have missed you so much!" I said grabbing my grandparents in for a hug. My parents came and greeted them while i was setting the table. "Bells, I have something for you." My grandfather came over with a little wooden box that looked to be very old. He handed me the box, the smooth texture of the wood was comforting. "I found it while renovating the new house in Galveston, it was in the attic. Open it." Inside of the bix was a beautiful pocketwatch. It was gold with intricate designs on it, when I opened it, there was a picture of the most handsome man I had ever seen holding a woman who looked exactly like me. The man was in a civil war uniform and the woman in a silky blue antebellum gown. I was shocked! "Gramps, its beautiful! thank you so much!" I siad hugging him.

That night I went to bed with the locket under my pillow. For the first time in a while I could actually remember my dreams. I was dancing with the man, we were smiling at each other having a great time, it seemed to be some kind of farewell party. All of a sudden he was taking me into a corner and we started kissing, it was a desperate kiss, a last kiss. He began kissing my neck when I felt a sharp sting, but then it was nothing but pure pleasure. He pulled apart blood coming from his mouth, my blood. His eyes were red and he looked sorry.
