Chapter two, espaping the upgrade.

Saphire's point of view.

How could this have happened. They were stories, that was it. I wrote them from my mind. I didn't even know what a Cyberman was. But here they were, and I was about to get killed by one. I hadn't written about a way to stop them, so I didn't know what to do. I shook in fear as I stared at the metal creature in front of me, not knowing what to do.

I tried my hardest to get my wrist out of its grip, tugging with all my might, but it didn't work. My eyes filled with tears as I realised what was going to happen to me. I was going to get the upgrade.

"Help!" I screamed, desperate to get away. I screamed loudly, but nobody cared. They just wanted to get away.

"Saphire!" A familiar voice called. I looked around, trying to see where the voice came from. All I could see was smoke. The Cyberman pulled me forward, making me stumble on some shattered glass underneath my feet. The pain from my wrist intensified as it pulled me forward, making me cry out in pain.

There was a flash of blue light, and the sound of lazers, that headed for the Cyberman pulling me. It shot it in the head and it went still, the grip on my hand loosening. I fell to the ground, holding my wrist while I shook. Somebody touched my shoulder briefly, making me scream.

"Hey, its only me." Came the familiar voice. I turned around and the doctor stood there, carrying an arm of a Cyberman. He put down the arm and kneeled next to me, his hand forever prominent on my shoulder.

"How is this possible?" I whispered, looking at him.

"I know, aliens!" He said excitedly, not understanding what I meant.

"No, this can't be possible, because...because I made them up." I sighed, passing him the book.

He flicked through the first couple of pages, horrified.

"This shouldn't be possible." He whispered. "How do you know of them?" He asked, turning to face me.

"I-I just made them up." I whispered, scared. The Doctor looked at me, confused. Then something clicked in his head.

"How does your story end?" He asked, looking at me. My face went to dread as I realised how it ended.

"They...they take over the planet." I whispered, looking him in the eyes. He reached into the pocket of his jacket and, after rummaging for a minute, pulled out a pen.

"Change it." He said. I looked at him for a second more, before grabbing the pen and working on the story.

It hurt to write, the habd that the Cyberman grabbed was my writing hand, but I grit my teeth and braved through the pain.

As I was writing, I heard the all too familiar sounds of metal stomping against the concrete. I looked up and three Cybermen were walking towards us. After seeing the Doctor grab the arm, I went back to my work. After three sounds of lazers, the stomping stopped.

I finally scribbled down the last word, and dropped the pen.

"Done." I sighed, grabbing my wrist and holding it to my chest. I looked up at the metal nightmares in expectance.

One by one, a blue flash surrounded them, and they dissapeared. It was like they were being teleported or something. The doctor grabbed me into a hug, making me stand up, and swung me around. I shrieked in surprise, closing my eyes. He put me down, grinning from ear to ear.

"You did I!" He congratulated. I smiled through the pain in my wrist, feeling pride.

"Yeah I did."

So, that was chapter two. I know this one was way shorter than the other, and I'm sorry, but I was busy with my other story 'Little Bella'. I'm liking this story, so I'm hoping that I can update more often. So, did you like it? Please leave suggestions, because that would help, and I will try to use them if you do. Thank you for reading.
