Angry yowling pierced the air, and wind howled through the trees while thunder rumbled nearby. The noises quieted briefly, and then some ferns rustled as an orange-red and yellow shape pushed through them. The yellow- patched cat dashed off towards the sound of the furious yowling.

Hollyleaf cowered in the middle of the ThunderClan camp, her ears pressed flat against her head and her tail tucked between her hind legs, like a dog's. She looked dazed and terrified of the angry, hissing cats surrounding her. Lionblaze glared at the dark brown tabby tom sitting above them on a branch of a small, leafless tree. He was the reason his clanmates were mad at his sister, with his mouse-brained accusations. "We should exile her, for what she did!" hissed a cream-colored tom, his short, stubby tail jerking back and forth. "We can't!" yowled a brown-and white tabby she-cat. "She didn't do anything wrong, "growled the dark ginger she-cat crouched next to her. The cream-colored tom began to say something, but Lionblaze interrupted, snarling, "There's no proof she did anything!" "She left camp at the same time Blazekit went missing," the cream tom spat back. "That's enough," the dark brown tabby growled commandingly, but he was ignored as Lionblaze hissed at the annoying tom. The pale colored cat hissed back and looked ready to attack, but a dusky brown tom thrust his way between the two angry toms. "Be quiet," he growled. "Bramblestar is talking." The cats in the camp turned their gazes back on their leader, moving closer to the tree he was on, and breaking the ring around Hollyleaf, leaving the path to the camp entrance open. Lionblaze saw her ears prick, and then she bolted towards the entrance. He started to chase after her, but the cream colored tom lunged in his way, blocking him, and Hollyleaf's tail vanished through the hole. Lionblaze glared at the irritating, bossy tom. "You let her get away," he spat. "She was going to be exiled anyway," a brown-and black tom muttered. "Better to let her run away, like a coward!" a golden-brown tom sneered. Fury raged through Lionblaze, and he lunged forward, knocking the pale-pelted tom out of his way, and leaped on the gold-brown tom, raking his claws down his side. Lionblaze distantly heard the sound of ripping fur, before he raced out of the camp, following Hollyleaf's scent. It led him toward WindClan's territory, but then vanished. Lionblaze paused at the edge of the border, gazing out over the rolling heather, vainly searching for any sign of his sister. He sighed and felt his tail droop when he didn't see anything. Where are you, Hollyleaf? , he wondered.
