Dreams Unforgotten
Chapter 2
Friday 10:32 AM
"Wake up! Wake up!". He opened his eyes to see Piffle poking him on his cheek. *Poke* *Poke* "He-stop Piffle, I sa- stop!" said Hikaru. "Sorry Hikaru, but I was wondering when you'd finally get here!" said Piffle. Hikaru lifted himself up from the rock hard ground. "Remind me whose idea it was to sleep in a cave again?" Hikaru asked as Piffle turned red. He laughed, "Alright we'll go now! Calm down, man you sure get angry easy…now lemme get the bag and we'll be on our way out, ok?". "Fine" mumbled Piffle. As Hikaru grabbed his backpack he heard a low growl. "You can stop growling now Piffle, we're going" "umm, Hikaru, that wasn't me…". Hikaru and Piffle turned around to a large bear standing on its hind legs. "I slept in the same cave as THAT for a WHOLE night?!" "I DIDN'T KNOW, NEVER MIND THAT NOW LET'S RUN" replied Piffle. Hikaru strapped the bag on to himself as he ran from the enraged bear. "LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE WOKE UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE CAVE THIS MORNING" yelled Hikaru as he ran, "BAD TIME FOR JOKES HIKARU!" responded Piffle. They soon caught glimpse of a cliff in the distance and so in a split second Piffle transformed from his jiggly form and into an exceed as he quickly activated Aero. He grabbed onto Hikaru as the jumped off the edge. "That was AWESOME" yelled Piffle, "Hey Hey calm down, we gotta get back to the guild, Erza and I have to talk about the pendant".
11:00 AM
"Finally" said Hikaru as he opened the guild door. "Morning gu-AH!" "Where the HELL have you been?" yelled Natsu as he nailed Hikaru to the ground. "Well that's a nice way to say HELLO!" yelled Hikaru as he pulled his legs forward and attempted kicking Natsu off. "Natsu OFF" yelled a girl with scarlet hair covered in armor with a blue skirt. "But Erza he-"responded Natsu as Erza cut him off, "NOW!" "..Yes master" . "Thanks Erza, I couldn't get him off, by the way, I need to show you this-". Hikaru turned around to see a shirtless Gray kicking Natsu "Hey Dobe, what do you think you're doing picking a fight with people when we still haven't finished ours from yesterday!?" "Who are you calling Dobe, you slant-eyed Freak!" replied Natsu. "Well I guess you got to take care of that right Erza?"said Hikaru as he turned around to find no one there, "Erza? Where'd she go?". Natsu and Gray screamed in unison, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WE'RE SORRY!" and then suddenly disappeared. Hikaru looked up to see two holes in the ceiling.. "..Hmm…Speaks for itself…let's see how everyone else is doing". Hikaru walked around greeting the members of Fairy Tail after his long journey. Eventually he stopped and looked around for a quick second as he realized how much he missed his guild, his home. Everything would be weird to anyone else except himself. It was normal to find fights, love stories and everything else happening in this guild. But in a moment, everything soon went down the drain. A huge explosion occurred at the entrance, clearing the tables from the vicinity and destroying the stone floor of the guild. Everyone looked toward the entrance, waiting for the smoke to clear to see who was there. Within seconds Hikaru realized who it was and his guess was confirmed when the soldiers stationed at the Alborg facility he broke into the previous night appeared at the source of the explosion. Magic circles appeared rapidly throughout the guild. Re-Equip, Flames, dragon-slayer, light, ice make; any magic possible spread to battle the enemies. Hikaru and Natsu used combined their magic for stronger effects while Erza and Laxus powerhoused through the enemy forces. After putting down multiple soldiers, Hikaru noticed how the majority of the enemy was still stationary at the doorway. "Something's wrong, they're not fighting, but why? Unless…killing us isn't their main objective!" thought Hikaru. He turned around to see two soldiers carrying a large nail-shaped object that emitted a purple glow. They had traveled behind the mages to plant whatever that thing was. Hikaru ran toward them but instantly crashed into a force field created by their magic. He tried to break the barrier with his brilliant white flames but nothing occurred. The object began to glow brighter and brighter as Hikaru and everyone else in the area lost their vision. Hikaru could only see a blank field and then he lost consciousness soon after.
7:08 PM
"Ugh….crap, my head hurts" muttered Hikaru as he clasped his head. He pulled himself up off the stone floor of the guild and looked around to find no one around. The guild was empty. "Wha-HahHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA…..Make it stop! It tickles!" yelled Hikaru. He pulled Piffle out from his coat. "What were you doing in there?! You know what, don't tell me…" said Hikaru. "Hey! I was cold" yelled Piffle. Hikaru responded "Whatever, but where the hell did everyone go?". He paused. Piffle said, "Crap, that object, it blew up, what happened to everyone though?". At that moment, Erza came running into the guild wounded while in torn up clothes. She fell at her knees next to Hikaru and said, "I don't know what going on, those men, they're gone but, I found others and tried to get help from them, but they attacked me with some sort of magic that they conjured from hand signals!". Hikaru's mind went blank as he muttered "Hand Signals? It couldn't be…no, I have to see this!". He grabbed piffle and ran out of the guild with Erza. After 5 minutes of cutting through the brush of the forest, Piffle stopped and yelled, "Wait!, Stop! What's that?". On the ground, there laid a strip of blue cloth with a thin piece of metal attached to the cloth. Hikaru picked it up and said, "How? How is it possible, there's no way that this could be here. It's IMPOSSIBLE!". In his hand, he held a headband with an engraving of a leaf on the metal plate. "The Hidden Leaf….this can't be." muttered Hikaru. "Wake up Hikaru!" said Piffle in a female voice. Hikaru looked at him, "What? Piffle what's wrong with-". "You're going to be late to school" Piffle said as he cut of Hikaru. Hikaru stared at him dumbfounded, "What the hell Piffle?". Everything froze around him and slowly faded away. His vision went black and a white light appeared in the distance aside from the darkness that surrounded him. He opened his eyes. His pulse was strong. He looked upward to his mother who was lecturing him about being late to school. He pulled himself up out of his bed and rushed to the washroom. Cold water covered his face and hair. Looking up at his reflection in the mirror he muttered, "What the hell is going on?".
