"Gotta get ho-"

"-ood transfusion… Keep pressure on it!"

Raphael's face scrunched up as he tried to force himself out of his sleep. His world was swaying and everything felt uneven.

"Raph… everything's going to be ok… you'll be ok."

'Who the heck was that?' His mind couldn't process anything as it pounded louder than the chaos around him. He tried to talk but only a gurgled moan escaped his sore throat. Raph took a couple of calming breaths through the nose as he tried to focus on getting his eyes open. He never realized something could be so impossible. His mind wondered to his leg that now held no feeling. 'Did they have to amputate it?' Raphael moaned again.

"Take it easy man."

That was Mikey. It had to be.

Raphael felt like he was vibrating. That's when he realized that they were still in the shellraiser. Raph let out a sigh as he relaxed slightly. His brothers had found him. He was safe. Everything was going to be ok. Raph smiled inwardly as he already started to predict the future. Donnie would scold him for not taking it easy and getting off of the couch. Mikey would take the opportunity of Raph's injury and pull some type of 'ultimate prank' or baby him somehow. Leo probably already had a full two hour worth of a lecture prepared for him. Splinter would end up making Raph watch his stories with him, thinking that the red-banded turtle found it enjoyable. April would continuously ask if there was anything he needed. Casey would laugh and poke Raph's injuries, asking, "Does this hurt? Ya big wuss." or "Bonehead."

Raphael felt himself relax more. He could feel that he was forgetting something as the battle scene began to play back in his mind.

The foot. There was so many. He had already been injured before the fight, but thinking back on it made his head hurt, so he just allowed the fight to play out in front of him like a dream.

Everything hurt and his breathing came out in gasps as he tried to recompose himself and stand, but he couldn't. Blood oozed quickly out of his freshly cut leg. A single ninja approached Raph, holding a Katana blade slightly shorter then Leo's. It looked flimsy and dirty, very uncared for. Nothing like Leonardo's. Leo took great care of the swords he was so very proud of.

The ninja raised it above is head clumsily, like taking the turtles life would be so simple that he didn't need his ninja training anymore. It would be as simple as stepping on a roach.

Raph held the ninja's gaze, glaring at him fiercely; not going to give the ninja satisfaction in taking the life of a broken worrier. Fire burned brightly inside Raph's eyes as the ninja brought the sword down; not caring if he killed a defeated worrier or a great one. He would be a hero.

Swords clashed and the foot soldier was quickly caught off balanced and beaten as the blue-banded ninja spun and stood protectively in front of his little brother. He's eyes narrowed and his teeth showing in a growl.

Raph moaned again in his half-conscious state as his head banged for the information he knew he wasn't getting. Leo had shown up, perfect timing as usual. Leo had fought. Won. He was going to take Raph home when… Fishface… Karai…Shredder.

Raph felt his head pound and burn at the realization he was having. Leonardo was hurt. Dead.

"He's going into shock!" Someone yelled.

Raph felt a hand on his forehead and then a blanket being wrapped around him. "Hang in there Raphie…" Mikey whispered in his ear. There was a shift of movement. "Donnie!" Mikey said a bit louder.

"Try and calm him down! Don't let him hit anything!"

"But-"

"Michelangelo! This is critical! Please!"

Raph felt a soft, five fingered hand wrap itself into his bulky three fingered one. "Hang in there, big guy." April whispered into his ear. Raph's body convulsed and he felt himself getting held firmly to the ground.

What the heck were they doing?! Leo was dying… dead! And they were telling him to 'hang in there'?! What was there to hang onto?!

The blanket was wrapped tighter around him as he shivered violently. His body doing things that his mind had no control over.

"Raph. Shhhh. Everything's going to be fine." April whispered. That's when Raph realized he had been unvolunteeringly whimpering and screaming on occasions. He shook harder and his eyes clenched as another tried scream ground out of his throat.

"Casey! Can you drive any faster?!"

"I've already ran about six stoplights! I'm goin as fast as I can!"

"Just… hang in there guys…" Mikey said.

Raph's body convulsed again and his breathing quickened even more. His eye ridges knitted together as his mind slowly wrapped around the things that were happening around him. Mikey had said 'hang in there 'guys''. That meant…

Leo.

Raph moaned again as he tried to open his eyes again; wanting to know what was going on. They couldn't have left Leo out there. Leo was with him in the car. Possible alive.

Possible dead.

He groaned and rolled to his side; a sharp pain shot up his leg, making the numbness in it quiver for a moment before completely engulfing his leg again. Raph would have sighed in relief that they hadn't amputated his leg if he wasn't in so much pain.

The car suddenly stopped moving.

"Mikey!" Donnie's voice held so much authority for someone his age. They were all so young. Regular people could live a full normal life and never go through things as bad as what they were going through. But then again. They weren't normal. They weren't people. "Help Casey get Raphael to the couch. April, you help me with Leo. We need to get him to my lab, NOW!"

Raph could feel the frantic movement start to happen around him.

"Master Splinter!" Donatello's voice had grown distance but stayed just as loud as it had been before.

Raph cringed when he felt two pairs of gruff yet gentle hands carefully pick him up. He moaned and tried to force his eyes open again but to no avail. He moved to working his mouth, hoping to tell them that he'd be ok. That he wanted to see Leo. Something!

He was placed carefully onto the couch. He sunk into it slightly; feeling as if he had been placed onto a cloud. A wave of dizziness washed over him as he felt sleep pry at his brain. "Hey, Raph, bud," Raph sucked in a breath as he tried to stay awake and listen to Casey, but his mind had other ideas and pulled him further into a world of darkness. "Ya need ta stay with us, ok? You're going to be just fine. You and Leo both."

Raph breathed out a relaxing breath before drifting asleep.

In the other room, Donatello was frantically gathering supplies that he would need for any type of surgery he knew he would have to do. He washed his hands and looked over his shoulder at Master Splinter who stroked Leo's forehead. He felt a pang of guilt creep down his spine at the thought of asking his father to leave so he could help his oldest brother. The deep gashes he had in his sides had already started to clot, but at the same time, still bled through the makeshift bandages. His arm also had a large cut gashed through it. Leo had bruises and cuts everywhere on his body and was far, far from being out of the woods.

"Master Splinter." He said; grabbing some disinfectant, a cloth, and a sponge. "Can you go and take care of Raph? I need… room to help Leo."

Splinter nodded and slowly stood up. He placed a paw on Donnie's forearm. "Do what you can. Leonardo and Raphael are strong, they will be alright."

Donnie nodded automatically and watched as Master Splinter walked swiftly out of the room. Donatello quickly turned his attention back to his brother. He grabbed a needle and thread, and prayed that he wouldn't mess anything up.

It had felt like an eternity when Donatello had finally stumbled out of his lab. He wasted no time however as he raced over to the couch where is other injured brother lay. He looked over the stitches Master Splinter had done and then checked for anything that may have been missed. He smiled slightly and placed his hand on Raph's forehead. Any trace of a smile had vanished as he felt the warmth that steamed off of his brother.

"Is there anything I can do, my son?" Splinter asked, making Donnie jump slightly. He looked behind him where Splinter sat, Michelangelo cradled in his lap, sleeping.

Donnie glanced at Mikey as Splinter stroked the youngest forehead. Tear stains could be seen underneath the poor things eyes. Donnie sighed. He could use the help, but he didn't want to force Splinter to disturb Mikey's slumber.

"No, you rest. I'll handle this."

"You will need rest also, my son." Splinter said. "I do not expect you to handle this on your own. So please do not expect it of yourself."

Donnie nodded. "Raph seems to be sprouting a fever. You did great with his stitches though." Donnie commented as he turned to face Raph. "Leo is still critical and I don't know what to do."

"I believe the only thing we can do is wait and rest." Splinter replied; a sad dull in his eyes.

Donnie nodded tiredly.

"Don?" Donatello looked down at Mikey who sat up slightly and rubbed his eyes. "What's going on?"

Donnie sighed. "I'm not exactly sure Mikey." He told honestly.

Mikey blinked for a second before slowly lying back down onto Splinter's lap. "Oh…" Donatello crawled over to them and sat down on the other side of Splinter. "Will they be ok?"

Donnie watched Mikey's eyes close, but could tell the orange-banded turtle wouldn't fall asleep until he received an answer.

"Y-yeah…" Donnie replied; not believing himself, but hoping that Mikey would.

Donnie rested his head against Splinter's shoulder as he heard Mikey's breaths even out. Splinter wrapped an arm around Donatello and kissed the top of his head. "They'll be ok…" Donnie whispered as his eyes drifted shut and he listened to the soft thump of Splinter's heart. "…They have to be…"

There it is, goodnight, see ya all next week!
