Intoxicating Scent

Chapter Two: Jealousy

"So Kagome," Miroku said leading them to their history class, "how do you know my lovely Sango?" he asked smiling brightly down at her.

Kagome looked up to Miroku smiling back, "Well, I only meet her today. She declared that me and her were to be best friends," she said giggling.

"Ah, my dear Sango is the kindest." Miroku said dragging her into their history class.

Miroku dragged Kagome to his seat, he took her bag from her and placed it in the seat behind his.

"That'll be your new seat!" Miroku said grinning like a five year old.

"But the teacher didn't give-"

"Don't worry Kagome. You'll like Mr. Aito, if you finish all your work in class than you can do whatever you want the rest of class. And he doesn't care about seating." Miroku patting her desk's top as he sat down in his seat.

Sitting down, Kagome looked around the class for Mr. Aito.

"Where is Mr. Aito anyways?" Kagome asked while Miroku turned all the way around facing Kagome.

Miroku shrugged lightly.

"He's always a little late to class. Some people think he goes to the west wing of the high school to go flirt with a new female teacher, but no one knows for sure." He said resting his head on his hand.

"Speaking of flirting," Kagome said while leaning it closely to Miroku, "Do you like Sango? You know, like like Sango." Kagome whispered to him.

Miroku sighed, "Yes, your new best friend Sango had stolen my heart from the first day we meet."

"When was that?" Kagome asked with a goofy grin.

"The tenth grade," Miroku said closing his eyes and softly smiling.

"Are you guys going out?" Kagome asked, she didn't remember Sango mentioning she had a boyfriend.

Miroku sighed loudly.

"No," he said sadly, "I had asked her out a few months after we had first meet, but she said no. Then again once we got into the eleventh grade, but I only got the same answer. I haven't had the courage to ask her back out again this year."

Kagome placed a hand on his forearm.

"I mean I even go out with girls I don't even like to try to make her jealous, but it doesn't ever work." He pouted.

"I'm so sorry Miroku. Maybe I can try talking to Sango," Kagome said truly feeling sorry for Miroku.

Miroku's face began to lift a little.

"Would you do that for me," he asked in amazement.

Kagome nodded and smiled brightly up at him.

"Of course I would! We are friends after all right, and friends look after each other." Kagome said tilting her head to the side slightly, continuing to smile brightly up at him.

Miroku stared at Kagome in wonderment. The way she looked up at him made her look like a beautiful goddess.

Miroku lightly grabbed his chin.

Maybe…just maybe Inuyasha wants more than sex from Kagome. He thought.

Inuyasha couldn't hide his interest in Kagome from Miroku. The way he had acted while Kagome was walking away from his car and the way he was acting in class was enough proof that Inuyasha might have something for Kagome.

"Good morning class," said a man walking in the classroom fixing his tie.

"That's Mr. Aito," Miroku informed Kagome.

Mr. Aito looked like he was about in his twenties. He had short dark brown shaggy style hair, he had beautiful emerald green eyes.

"Now since we couldn't finish your hand outs when we last saw each other, I would like you to partner up with someone and quickly get it done so we can more on." He said sitting behind his desk looking though some papers.

Students began to move and look through their bags for the piece of paper while Miroku stood up and walked over to Mr. Aito.

Kagome watched as Miroku talked to Mr. Aito quietly.

Than both Mr. Aito and Miroku looked over to her, Miroku pointed at her before they looked back at each other.

Mr. Aito nodded while getting up and walking over to Kagome, Miroku not too far behind him.

"Kagome," Mr. Aito said holding out his hand to her, "my name is Mr. Aito, which I'm sure Miroku already informed you. I will be your history teacher."

"Hello, it's nice to meet you," Kagome smiled shaking his hand.

"Now at your old school, what was your teacher teaching you at the time." Mr. Aito asked when their hand shake stopped.

"Mhm," Kagome paused trying to remember, "I believe we were in the Warring States period."

Mr. Aito sighed and rubbed his hand through his hair.

"Your old school was really behind in history. We've already covered that and moved on." He said trying to think of something

"Mr. Aito," Miroku said, "can I help catch Kagome up, she can come over my house and I can help her get to where we are."

"That could work," Mr. Aito said nodding, "Would that work for you?" he said looking down to Kagome.

"Uh, sure." She said crossing her hands in her lap.

"Good, Miroku I trust you to help Miss Kagome to catch up before the midterm exams." Mr. Aito said sternly to Miroku.

Miroku held his hand up, "Don't worry teach, I got it." he informed with a smirk.

"Teacher," Mr. Aito corrected while fixing his tie than walking back to his desk.

Miroku chuckled a little before sitting back down in this chair.

"So, do you want to come over my place or me come over to your place?" Miroku asked with a smirk.

"Uh, what?" Kagome asked a bit confused.

"To help you catch up, remember?" Miroku asked, his smirk began to grow, "What were you thinking of?"

"Uh! Nothing! Nothing!" Kagome said shaking her hands in front of her face which had began to redden.

Miroku laughed loudly as he poked Kagome's cheek with his finger.

"Why don't we just go over to my place," Miroku chuckled as Kagome removed his finger from her cheek.

Kagome couldn't help but lightly giggle with Miroku.

"Okay," Kagome said nodding, "what time do you want me to come over?" Kagome asked.

"Mhm," Miroku said tapping his chin with his finger, "how about after school."

"Today?" Kagome asked leaning forward.

Miroku lightly nodded, "If that's okay with your parents." He said.

"Uh," Kagome said leaning back in her chair, "Y-yea, they wouldn't mind." Kagome said painting a false smile on her face. She couldn't tell Miroku that she really lived by herself.

"Okay class, let's begin!" Mr. Aito said with a smile as he walked to the front of the class. Everyone turned around in their seats and began to listen to the teacher.

About almost an hour had passed since the lesson started.

Kagome stared at the blackboard with nothing but confusion on her face.

I….I don't understand any of this, Kagome thought with panic.

History was her best subject, so why didn't she understand any of this?

"Okay," Mr. Aito said tapping his chalk on the board than turned around, "that ends the lesson. We will go over more tomorrow, Friday will be the test for this lesson." He said walking away from the front of the class to his desk but stopped.

"Oh, Kagome. You don't have to take the test Friday if you're not ready for it," Mr. Aito said, smiling seeing relief flow over her.

"Th-thank you!" Kagome said her whole body relaxed.

Miroku turned around and smiled brightly up at Kagome.

"Had a hard time?" Miroku asked.

Kagome looked up shocked at him, how did he know she was having a hard time understand the material?

"How did you-" Kagome started but was interrupted by Miroku.

"The look on your face," Miroku said pointing at her.

"My face?" Kagome asked placing her hands on both sides of his face.

"You looked like you were about to cry," Miroku said trying not to chuckle at poor Kagome.

Kagome's body went stiff and her cheeks turned a slight red.

"Oh. Really?" Kagome asked placing her hands on the desk.

Miroku couldn't help but laugh a little as he leaned over and patted Kagome's shoulder.

"It's okay Kagome," Miroku said as he continued to pat Kagome's shoulder, "Don't push yourself, and remember you got me!" Miroku said with a smirk.

Kagome smiled softly at Miroku and nodded her head.

"Thank you Miroku," Kagome said just as the bell began to rung.

"Well," Miroku thought standing up as he gathered all his things up, "time for third period. What do you have next Kagome?"

"Uh," Kagome said as she pulled her schedule out her uniforms pocket, "I have PE next." Kagome said while looking back up at Miroku.

"Oh, that great!" Miroku said leaning against her desk.

"Why is that?" Kagome asked as students began to leave the class.

"Because you'll have it with me, Inuyasha and Sango," Miroku informed with a big grin.

"Oh, that is good. I'm not alone." Kagome said standing up along with Miroku.

Miroku nodded, "Yea, you got everything?" Miroku asked stepping away from Kagome's desk.

"Yup! Come on," Kagome said patting him on his arm, "lead the way," she said smiling up at him.

Miroku smiled back at Kagome as he looped his arm around Kagome's.

"To gym we go!" he exclaimed as he and Kagome walked out the class, making some other students look in their direction with weird faces.

"Kyaa! Look at Inuyasha!" "He's so cute!" "His body is amazing!" girls from a far screamed in delight to each other as they watched Inuyasha walk out of the boys' locker room wearing the boy gym uniforms.

Inuyasha looked up toward the group of girls and gave them his famous handsome smirk.

"Kyaaaa! Did you see that? He smiled at us!" one girl yelled.

"He is so hot!" another one said loudly.

"What do you think you're doing?" Sango asked Inuyasha as she appeared next to him.

"Nothing really, just bored." Inuyasha said folding his arms behind his head.

"Inuyasha," Sango said crossing her arms, "you shouldn't do that to girls. It's mean." Sango said glaring up at him.

Inuyasha raised a brow as he looked down at her, "I didn't do anything. I just smiled." Inuyasha said smirking down at her.

Sango smacked her hand hard onto Inuyasha's back, "Don't play stupid Inuyasha, you know what you're doing." Sango said looking up at him as she crossed her arms again.

"Geez, you should are in a bitchy mood Sango." Inuyasha said trying to reach the sore spot on his back with his hand.

"Sango! Inuyasha!"

Sango and Inuyasha turned their heads seeing both Kagome and Miroku jogging toward them with their arms tangled together.

"Kagome!" Sango exclaimed as the two jogging teens came closer.

"Hi Sango," Kagome greeted as her and Miroku came to a stop.

"You have gym?" Inuyasha asked Kagome while walking up next to Sango.

"That's why she here isn't?" Miroku asked jokingly.

"Shut up," Inuyasha said lightly punching Miroku in the arm.

Kagome laughed lightly as she untangled her arm from Miroku's.

"I don't have any gym clothes," Kagome stated as she noticed Inuyasha and Sango not wearing the school uniform but gym uniforms.

"Don't worry, we can get you some from the teacher," Sango said taking hold of Kagome's hand, "Come on we better hurry," Sango said as she dragged Kagome away from the two boys.

"Oh," Kagome said looking back to Inuyasha, "It was nice to see you again and thanks again for this morning," Kagome said quickly as Sango dragged her away.

Inuyasha smirked at Kagome as he watched her walk away. Kagome sure was different from the other girls here.

"Hi Miroku, hi Inuyasha," some girls greeted as they walked by in flirtatious voices.

"Hello ladies," Miroku greeted back, but Inuyasha's eyes never left Kagome's retreating figure.

Miroku was surprised that Inuyasha didn't woo the girls like he usually did. The only thing it seemed to have caught Inuyasha's eyes was Kagome.

"So," Miroku said slapping his hand hard on Inuyasha's shoulder, "see something you like?"

Inuyasha smirked as he looked over to Miroku, "I don't know yet," he said removing Miroku's hand from his shoulder.

"Sure you haven't," Miroku said as he walked off to the boys' locker room.

"Yo Yasha," a boy said walking up to Inuyasha.

"What's up Fumio," Inuyasha greeted back.

"Nothing much, just chilling out." Fumio asked leaning against the wall, "Where Miroku?" he asked not really caring.

"Changing," Inuyasha said as he leaned against the wall also.

Fumio was one of Inuyasha's best friends. They first meet in eighth grade and begin breaking girl's heart since then together. Fumio had bright blue eyes and dark short spiky brown hair. His body was close to Inuyasha's body, but Inuyasha's body was more toned than Fumio's.

"So you and Kikyo-"

"Shut the hell up," Inuyasha interrupted Fumio.

"So the whole hook up thing was a lie?" Fumio asked looking up to Inuyasha.

Inuyasha shut his eyes as he sighed loudly.

"Nope, it wasn't a lie. She wouldn't leave me alone and I needed to get the edge off." Inuyasha explained.

Fumio nodded, he fully understood how Kikyo was. She was a whore that was in love with Inuyasha, just like every other girl at this school.

"Fumio," Miroku said coming out the boys' locker room, "What's up?"

"Hey Miroku," Fumio greeted back, "how you and Sango doing?" Fumio asked.

"Ah my dearest Sango," Miroku said smiling big and closed his eyes, "she is doing well." Miroku said looking back at Fumio.

A low sound of a stomach growling for food could be heard between the three teens.

"Damn," Inuyasha said wrapping an arm around his stomach, "I'm fucking hungry,"

Fumio laughed loudly and smacked Inuyasha's shoulder, "Don't you know you should eat breakfast before leaving the house?" Fumio teased.

"Keh," Inuyasha muttered pushing Fumio roughly, "shut the hell up, I over slept and rushed out the house.

"And picked up our dearest new friend," Miroku said crossing his arms behind his head.

"And who would that be?" Fumio asked with interest.

Two figures caught Miroku's eyes as they came closer.

"Her," Miroku pointed in the direction of the two figures.

Sango and Kagome were coming closer in their PE uniforms; Kagome's face was red as a tomato as she tried to hide behind Sango's back.

"Isn't she cute? Her name is Kagome," Miroku said as he waved over to the girls.

"Cute? She is hot as hell!" Fumio exclaimed as he stood up straight.

Inuyasha slight glared at Miroku and Fumio. He didn't like the thought of Fumio or Miroku eye candying Kagome.

"Hello ladies," Miroku greeted as the girl came to a stop in front of them.

"Hi Miroku, Inuyasha and Fumio," Sango greeted with Kagome still hiding behind her.

"And who might be your lady friend?" Fumio asked already knowing who it was.

"Oh," Sango said over her shoulder, "this is Kagome. She's new here, today is her first day." Sango explained.

"What's wrong Kagome?" Miroku asked trying to get a closer look at the blushing girl.

Sango smiled softly as she slowly stepped aside.

"Well, at Kagome's old school they had different PE uniforms for girls so she's not use to these. When we walked out the girl's locker room, some boys were drooling all over Kagome and tried to get her number. Kagome's just a little embarrassed," Sango explained giggling a little as she revealed the blushing Kagome.

The boys starring didn't help Kagome feel any comfortable.

Inuyasha's eyes scanned over Kagome's long legs.

Damn…they look soft… Inuyasha couldn't help think as his eyes continued to scan her legs. They might have been the best looking legs he ever seen.

"Why be embarrassed about your body looking so good Kagome?" Miroku asked confused, "If I was a girl and had your body, I would be teasing every guy." Miroku said while walking over to Kagome.

"W-whatever," Kagome said pulling her t-shirt down, trying to hide the PE uniform bottoms, "my body looks bad, and these bottoms just makes my body look worst. These aren't even shorts, they're like bikini bottoms," Kagome said not wanting to make eye contact with any of the boys.

"Are you kidding?" Fumio asked in shock, "You got to be blind or something, cause your body is smoking in that uniform."

Kagome's face exploded even redder. Sango and Miroku looked at Kagome with worried faces, it looked like she was about to either faint or run as fast as she could away from Fumio.

Inuyasha glared sharply at Fumio. Even though Fumio was telling the truth about Kagome's body, the idea of Fumio drooling over Kagome in front of him didn't seat too comfortably with him.

Inuyasha punched Fumio roughly in the arm causing Fumio to fall over lightly.

"Ouch, dude! What the hell?" Fumio asked holding the sore spot on his arm.

Inuyasha just looked over to Fumio with a calm look as he placed both his hands in his sweat pants.

"Thought I saw a bug on your arm," Inuyasha simply said as Fumio began to stand up straight.

"The fuck you did," Fumio said roughly just as the PE coach blew the whistle.

"Time to walk," Sango said in a dull voice.

"Time to walk?" Kagome repeated in a questionable voice as she followed the others.

"We walk everyday in gym for about 20 to 30 minutes around the football field, it helps to warm up." Inuyasha informed appearing right next to Kagome.

"Oh," Kagome said as both her and Inuyasha began to walk in step with each other.

"So you like school so far," Inuyasha asked looking down at Kagome once they got to the football field.

"Yea," Kagome said smiling up at Inuyasha, "so far, the people here are nice and welcoming." Kagome said pasting a group of girls.

"Who is she to Inuyasha?" Kagome over heard one of the girls asked the other girl.

"I don't know, but I won't let her steal him away from me!" the other girl said with confidence.

"You sure are popular with the girls," Kagome said to Inuyasha once they walked past the whispering girls.

Inuyasha smirked and opened his mouth to reply, but was interrupted by Miroku calling to Kagome as they waited for the two to catch up.

"Kagome," Miroku finally said once the two teens caught up to the group, "I forgot introduce you to Fumio," Miroku said holding his hand in front of Fumio, "Kagome this is Fumio Watanabe, Fumio this is Kagome Higurashi." Miroku said introducing the two teens to each other.

"Hi," Fumio said holding out his hand.

Kagome stared up at Fumio's light blue eyes. Those eyes, they were the very same colored eyes like…his.

Kagome didn't move as she continued to look into those blue eyes as if they had paralyzed her.

"Kagome?" Sango called out to Kagome as she lightly placed her finger tips on Kagome's forearms. The sudden touch of Sango's fingers caused Kagome to jump in fright away from Sango and accidentally crashed into Inuyasha's hard chest. Inuyasha quickly wrapped his strong arms around Kagome's body to keep her from falling on the hard ground.

"Kagome!" Miroku and Sango said, they voice filled with worry.

"I-I'm sorry," Kagome said standing up straight, "I-"

"Are…you okay?" Fumio asked not sure if he should approach her.

"Y-yeah," Kagome said stepping out of Inuyasha's arms, "I just wasn't…my mind was thinking about this scary movie I watched last night and I wasn't expecting Sango to touch me on my arm," Kagome lied as she stopped her hands from shaking.

"Uh, Hi. I'm Kagome Higurashi." Kagome said grabbing hold of Fumio's hand and shook it.

"Kagome Higurashi you say?" Fumio asked once the hand shake was broken, "Don't your family own a shrine?" Fumio asked.

Everyone plus Kagome was shock to hear Fumio asked that question.

"Yes, we do…how do you know that?" Kagome asked softly.

Fumio closed his eyes, "I think….my mom was told me something about a shrine called Higurashi shrine a few years ago. I think it was in the news paper or something." Fumio said thinking hard about it.

"Oh," Kagome said as relief flooded her body, "well we do sometime have festivals at the shrine."

"Yeah, it got to be that." Fumio said agreeing with Kagome.

Inuyasha watched Kagome carefully, something wasn't right.

"Start walking!" the gym coach yelled over to the group.

"Shut the hell up old man," Inuyasha said out loud but he doubted the coach heard him.

As the group began to walk again, they talked about their next classes and how their day was going so far. Some of the boys that would walk by would whistle at Kagome, causing her to hide behind Sango again. But with one glare from Inuyasha, the boys left Kagome alone.

"So you ready for tonight Kagome?" Miroku asked causing everyone to want to know just what Kagome had to get ready for.

Kagome smiled brightly up at Miroku, "Yup! I'm positive with your help, I'll be ready for Mr. Aito's-"

"What the hell are you both talking about?" Inuyasha interrupted rudely.

"Well if you must know," Miroku said, "Kagome is behind in history, so she will be coming over my house to study and catch up." Miroku informed.

"Oh," Inuyasha said softly, "why didn't you just say that?" he said trying not to sound totally stupid.

"I think Kagome was about to hint it to us by saying she was getting ready for Mr. Aito's test, but you interrupted her." Sango said guessing right.

"Keh," Inuyasha mutter as he swiftly looked away, a light color of red cover the top of his cheeks.

"Don't you think it's dangerous to leave poor little Kagome by herself with Miroku?" Fumio whispered teasingly into Inuyasha ear, causing his ear to twitch slightly.

The thought of Miroku dragging Kagome into his house when his parents aren't home made Inuyasha's brow twitch.

"Miroku," Inuyasha said, "don't you remember that you promised me to help me with math homework," Inuyasha stated more than asked.

Miroku stumbled a little bit before looking up at Inuyasha, "What are you talking about? I didn't promise you any of that," Miroku said trying to figure out what Inuyasha was saying.

"Yes you did," Inuyasha said digging his hands into his pockets.

"Oh," Kagome said, "well Miroku and I can always study some other time." Kagome offered.

"No, no." Miroku said as he closed his eyes and rubbed his hand through his hair, "even though I don't remember this promise of helping Inuyasha with math homework, you both can come over. My parents won't care."

"Are you sure?" Kagome asked feeling a little bad.

"Hey," Inuyasha said draping his arm around Kagome's shoulders, "don't worry about. Trust me, you'll feel safer with me around." Inuyasha informed Kagome with a smirk.

Fumio smirked to himself. He knew just what Inuyasha was doing.

The whistle blew again from the coach and all the students began to walk slowly over to the coach.

"Does anyone know what we're doing today?" Sango asked as the group began to walk back.

"Tag football for the boys and volleyball of the girls." Fumio informed in a bored voice.

"You better hope that you and Miroku are on my team or I'm going to kick your asses." Inuyasha said ready to go.

"Come on Inuyasha," Miroku said pouting a little bit, "you're the star quarterback, go easy on us."

"You're the star quarterback?" Kagome asked while removing Inuyasha's arm that had still rested over her shoulders.

"Yup," Sango said, "Inuyasha is the school's star player on the football team."

"Wow that's pretty cool Inuyasha." Kagome said smiling up at him.

"Thanks. You should come to the game this Friday." Inuyasha said folding his arm behind his head.

An excited gasped escaped from Sango, "Oh my gosh, you totally need to come! Do you think your parents would mind?" Sango asked.

Kagome looked down and placed a false smile on her face, "Uh, yea. I don't think they would mind." Kagome said.

"Yay, I can't wait for Friday now!" Sango said giving Kagome a jumping hug, causing Kagome to giggle a little.

The group finally made it to the coach who was telling everyone what was going on.

"The girls will be playing volleyball on the outside volleyball court while the boys will be play football in the yard next to the volleyball court." The coach informed than looked over to the girls, "Now I know that sometimes the volleyball will sometimes get hit out of court and it might round into the boys' football game. When and if that happens, I want you to be careful of the boys. One of them might hit you on accident and I don't want anyone hurt." The coach said hoping everyone would listen and be careful. Once the coach got head nods and some 'Okays' from the students, he clapped his hand loudly, "Okay than! Let's gets started," he said picking up a volleyball and a football. He tossed over the volleyball to the girls than began to walk over to the field with the football.

"Good luck my love," Miroku said holding onto Sango's hands.

Sango just giggle and removed her hands from his, "Don't worry, I will." Sango said.

"Good luck," Inuyasha said to Kagome as he ruffled her hair and walked away.

"Uh, yeah." Kagome said as she tried to fix her hair.

"You ready?" Sango asked Kagome as the boys walked away.

"I guess. But I'm not very good at playing volleyball." Kagome said walking past some tall girls.

"Did you see the way Inuyasha rubbed her hair? Is she his new favorite?" a girl with orange hair asked the girl with blond hair.

"Never!" the blond girl snapped, "I'm Inuyasha's favorite. I'm at the top with Kikyo and plus she's new here. Who does she think she is?" the blond girl ranted.

"Don't worry about Amy," Sango said, "She's just one of Inuyasha's stalkers."

"Stalkers huh," Kagome said, "he sure is popular with the girls."

"Yeah, he is. And you sure seem to be popular with the guys yourself." Sango giggled catching some guys drooling over Kagome again.

"Agh," Kagome said blushing again while walking away from the giggling Sango.

Ten minutes had passed and both games had started. Groans, cheers and yells could be heard from both the girls and boy sports.

"Get it, get it!" some girls from Kagome's and Sango's team yelled, but the ball hit the out of bounds and rolled out into the football game.

"I'll get it," Kagome said lightly jogging out to the field.

All the boys weren't every close to where the ball had roll to a stop, but they were still close.

Kagome quickly jogged over to the ball and leaned down to pick it up. Just as Kagome's finger tips touched the sides of the ball, a gust of wind blew causing the ball to roll further away.

"Stupid ball," Kagome muttered as she jogged after the ball again.

Kagome quickly grabbed hold of the ball, "Got you," she said as she stood up straight.

"Look out Kagome!" Sango yelled loudly.

"What-" Kagome said before she saw a group of boys running right for her.

The boys didn't seem to see her until the last minute and tried to stop, but was only inches from running Kagome right over.

Kagome closed her eyes tightly waiting for the incoming pain.

Suddenly Kagome felt something hard against the front of her body and the feeling of something strong wrapped around her. The ground beneath her seemed to disappeared.

Kagome slowly opened her eyes and saw nothing but blue skies.

What…? Kagome thought as the wind blew through her hair. Strands of silver hair moving around her face caused her to look up.

"Are you okay Kagome?" Inuyasha asked, his voice fill with slight worry.

"Y-yea," Kagome said trying not to blush.

Inuyasha had looked so handsome with his hair flowing around and the beautiful blue sky behind him.

"What happen-" Kagome stopped as she finally remembered that she didn't feel anything solid underneath her.

Looking down, Kagome saw everyone looking up at her and Inuyasha.

We're…in the sky? Kagome thought.

"We're in the sky!" Kagome almost screamed in freight. She quickly wrapped her arms tightly around Inuyasha.

"It's okay," Inuyasha said squeezing Kagome back a little, "I won't let you drop."

Kagome slowly opened her eyes to a pair of golden eyes staring at her.

Kagome slowly began to relax, but still didn't relax complete.

"Kagome!" Sango yelled up at them once they slowly began to come back down to the ground.

Once Inuyasha's feet hit the ground all the students ran up to Kagome and Inuyasha.

"Kagome!" Sango said grabbing whole of Kagome hands, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Kagome smiled and shook her head.

"No, I'm okay." Kagome said as she began to shake a bit.

"You're shaking," Fumio stated appearing next to Inuyasha.

Kagome looked up at him quickly with a small smile, "Well, I was suddenly picked up and thrown into the air." Kagome said starring into Fumio's light blue eyes.

Kagome couldn't help but feel paralyzed every time she in looked into those light blue eyes.

They look just like Ko- Kagome quickly looked away from Fumio, No. I'm not going to think of him, I'm hundreds of miles away from that monster. I won't let his name cross my mind. Kagome thought as her back began to tense up.

Inuyasha noticed the way Kagome had looked at Fumio.

Does Kagome like Fumio or something? Inuyasha thought looking at Fumio from the corner of his eye.

Inuyasha looked back down at Kagome. No, that couldn't be it. The look she gave Fumio wasn't the look of interest, the look was fill with pain and almost fearful.

"Hey," Inuyasha said placing a hand between Kagome's shoulder blades, "You okay?"

Kagome smiled again to reinsure that she was okay.

"Yes, I'm not hurt. Thanks to you, that is." Kagome said as Inuyasha smirked widely down at her.

"Hey, buy me dinner and we're even." Inuyasha offered, sounds of girls gasping could be heard from the crowd. Everyone was silent as they waited for Kagome's answer.

The sounds of giggles coming from Kagome surprised everyone, even Inuyasha.

"I think thank you should be enough, Inuyasha." Kagome said after her giggle fit.

Gasps and whispers exploded around the two teens.

"Damn, so the great ladies man Inuyasha Takahashi can be denied." Miroku said in complete shock while walking in front of Kagome and placing his hands on Kagome's shoulders, "Kagome you truly are amazing!" Miroku exclaimed happily.

"Uh," Kagome said not sure what was going on. Was Inuyasha never turned down before?

Finally, the gym coach was finally able to push through the crowd and demand everyone back to their games after making sure Kagome was alright.

The girls and boys walked back to their fields, but Inuyasha stood in place as he watched Kagome walk away.

"So," Miroku said throwing his arm over Inuyasha's shoulders, "how does it feel to get turn down?" Miroku teased.

"Shut the hell up." Inuyasha said, "I never said I was going to give up on Kagome." Inuyasha said with a smirk.

"Sounds like you more interested in Kagome than just a fuck and run." Fumio stated with a smile.

Inuyasha smiled while lightly pushing Miroku off him.
