"Thank God he's finally asleep," Rush said to himself. "Now I can finally have a good conversation with you, Spiny." Spiny was his pet porcupine. Not his imaginary pet, mind you...Spiny doesn't like being called imaginary.

"You should draw something on his face...like a curly mustache."

"Oh, Spiny, I can't do that."

"Why not?"

"Well, that's just childish."

"But you know you want to."

"I may very well die down here with him...I think I should at least try to get along with him. How can I do that if I have to stare at the mustache I drew on his face every time I talk to him?"

"Hm...Well, you could always say that I did it."

"Don't be ridiculous, Spiny...he won't buy that. I am not going to draw a mustache on him."

"Fine," said Spiny, wrinkling his little button nose. With that, he disappeared, and Rush was left alone.

"Dammit," he hissed. "That fickle bastard..."

"Who the hell are you talking to?" groaned Young, who had just woken up.

"Ah, you're awake."

"No shit, Sherlock."

"I don't appreciate the negativity, Colonel."

"I don't appreciate your presence, Doctor."

"Well, isn't that peachy?"

Young clawed at his hair. "I need to get out of here RIGHT NOW!" he cried. "I'll go insane if I have to stay here a minute longer!"

A minute later, Rush asked Young if he'd gone insane yet, which earned him a boot--chucked directly at his abdomen. "Ouch!" he squealed.

An hour later...

"Blond?"

"Yeah."

"Was he in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid?"

"Yep!"

"Robert Redford."

"Damn, you're good!" remarked Young, stroking his chin.

"Colonel, isn't there something else we should be doing? Why don't we look for a way out again?"

"Don't be ridiculous, Doctor. We've looked everywhere."

"Are you sure?"

"Pretty damned."

Rush walked the length of the room, peering up at the darkened ceiling.

"Wanna play another round?" called Young from the ground.

An hour later...

"Lady Gaga."

"Dammit! How do you DO THAT?"

TBC. Oh, what will happen next? The suspense...

I know this chapter was really short, but...yeah. Sorry!
