Who is going to be the first you ran to? Definitely not Sodapop. You just killed his brother, for god's sake. Forget Darry. As told before, he would kill you himself. You ran to the first person on your mind- Johnny. Even though hearing the news would break his heart and most likely make the boy scared of you for life, you ran in his direction to his house. It started to rain, not that hard at first. But as you went on, it started to pour, the rain blurring your vision. You raised your arm to wipe the water from your eyes, only making it worse because the sleeve of your jacket was soaked also.

After a few minutes, you found Johnny's house through what seemed to be an endless wall of rain. Johnny happened to be looking out of his window when you arrived in the front, and he didn't look all to happy. Yelling could be heard from all the way down the street and objects were being thrown. His folks were fighting again. You motioned for him to come out, and not risking walking through the carnage of his parents, Johnny opened the window and jumped out, not bothering to close it behind him. As he ran and jumped the fence, stumbling a bit from slipping because of a puddle, but he regained his posture and stood right in front of you. He wasn't the tallest boy, he went up to your shoulders, and fankly you thought it was adorable.

Johnny seemed relaxed to see you at first, a small smile could be seen on his face through the thick rain. But that smile dropped to a scared expression, and a shaking hand of his rose to point at your jacket.

"Y…You alright, Dal?" He asked, a shake in his voice. He knew something was up, and you remember how he had to go through the guilt of killing a Soc. He was traumatized from it, and you were pretty sure you were from killing your own friend.

"I have somethin' to tell you. Let's get under a tree or somethin' to try and get out of the rain first." You blinked through water that had gathered on your hair and your eyelashes. Johnny nodded and you two walked away swiftly, making it a few blocks away from the kid's house just to be safe. Just in case one of his folks tried to get him back inside or hurt him. Once you two were under a tree and somewhat safe from the rain falling hard, he spoke up.

"What do ya need to tell me?" Johnny looked over at you and hugged himself, trying to get warm.

"Before I say anythin' , ya look cold, so take this." You took off your own jacket and handed it to him. "Jus' put it over your own jacket. I want ya to be warm." You smiled slightly as you watched him slip on the jacket and nod.

"Thanks, Dal. It's real warm." He thanked you with a warm expression on his face, but then he got that mildly scared looked again. "Now what do ya got to tell me?" His voice shook again.

"I killed Ponyboy."
