"Wah! Where the hell is this stupid item that the old ice block promised?" Waluigi remarked bitterly as he was digging in the sand.

"I don't know, but any excuse to make a sand castle is a good excuse!" Toadette gleefully exclaimed as she was using the sand Waluigi was digging up to make a sand castle of her own, the two of them being near Waluigi's Taco Stand.

"Come on, Whimsi!" Lilligant exclaimed as she and Whimsicott were scaling the orange colored checkerboard hills surrounding their lemonade stand. "We gotta search up and down and all around for that jewel if we wanna win!"

"But how are we even sure that it's here?" Whimsicott remarked as she was right by Lilligant, hoping that the wind wouldn't pick up and blow her away.

Gruntilda Winkybunion was at her purple tent as she nagged and rhymed, with Dry Bowser watching on as he was standing above her, the warty old hag digging her way into the ground with a shovel.

"This prize better be worth it, for that ice block's sake," Gruntilda stated as she chucked the dirt behind her, which landed in front of Dry Bowser. "Because if not, then I'll use him as icing for a cake!"

"Icing for a cake?" Dry Bowser scoffed in response, his skeletal hands on his boney hips as he rolled his eyes. "I know you like rhyming, but couldn't you come up with something better?"

"Oh shut up and stick to your thought bubble!" Grunty snapped as she glared at Dry Bowser, pointing at him. "The nonsense I'm doing here just isn't worth extra trouble!"

Dry Bowser shrugged as he kept on watching Grunty dig, getting a sense of enjoyment out of it.

Petey Piranha was scouting the sky, looking around to see if he could get a sense of where the item might be hidden, not letting the rain hamper his flight.

"I sure wish that I heard Chief Chilly explain what the prize he wanted is," Petey commented as he spoke in the voice of Gilbert Gottfried, "Because I haven't a clue of where it could be!"

He then noticed the waves down below, getting excited as he decided to check the sea, going in and out of the sea water as he laughed his head off. The various dolphins splashing around watched as Petey submerged into the water several times, glancing at each other with confusion as they weren't sure of what to make of the situation.

Chief Chilly and Mario were both watching the waves roll in on the wooden pier at Seaside Hill's Ocean Ruin racecourse, the two feeling the rain fall on them as neither seemed to be bothered by it.

"How long are you willing to bet that anyone will find it?" Chief Chilly stated to Mario.

Mario shrugged in response as he drunk his cup of tea that he had brewed earlier somehow. "Knowing the author, either around one hundred-a chapters, or it'll be left on a dumb-a cliffhanger."

"...With how slow he writes, I'm hoping for the latter." Chief Chilly stated as he sighed, closing his eyes and shaking his head as he noticed the waves were getting bigger.
