"Rui sweetie, can you pass me my purse."

Rui passes her mom the purse indifferently."Mom. Why do you have to go out tonight?"

"Work reasons sweetie."

"But we live in your Employer's land."

It was true. For ten years Rui and her mom had been living at the Hitachiin mansion, and their life was practically in these acres.

"Gotta go sweetie."She kissed Rui goodbye and walked towards the door. "If you get lonely you can head to the main house. The Hitachiin twins will accept you kindly."

Rui's mom thinks her and the twins have a close relationship just because they are the same age. However, the truth is, Rui has never had a real conversation with them all these years, and she avoids interaction with them.

"I don't think so."

She watches her mom strut through the garden, and heading towards the Main house, and then to the front entrance. She lets out a sigh and heads to her room.

"Rui,"

"Are, you lonely?"

Rui jolted away from her window. It was the twins again.

They always came, in fact, it was rare if they didn't appear every five minutes. Rui was used to it, but she wouldn't prefer this.

As always she didn't reply and just looked down.

"I see." Hikaru says and jumps inside, Kaoru following after.

"You got coffee?"

Hikaru grabbed a jar of Instant Coffee. "Commoner's coffee."

"Weird Huh Kaoru?"

"Is Rui considered a commoner?"

"I wonder,"Hikaru says and he pours some hot water into a cup. "Something great happened this week Rui."

"We met someone."

Rui just continued on her own and sat on her couch and began to stitch a hole in her tights.

"A commoner you know, an honor student infiltrated Ouran."

"Audacious right?" Hikaru asks, as he passes his coffee to Kaoru.

With Rui it always seem like a one sided conversation. However, Rui listened intently and she didn't mind the twins when they'd talk about their day. They always seemed like they have fun and Rui wondered if there was ever a gloomy day for these identical boys.

"Wanna meet him?"

Hikaru peered his face towards Rui, and she could feel his breath. Rui lowered her face, before she could get nervous. She didn't want to give them satisfaction.

"Tell you what."

"We'll meet you tomorrow at the vending machines,"

"And you'll meet our new friend."

The twins were not worried about Rui not showing up. They seemed to know her well. She was quiet and apathetic but she was easygoing. This is why their last prank on her was three years ago, and they haven't seem to start anything.

Rui stuffed her books into her desk and as the bell rang it's melody she stood up, and glanced at the twins. They haven't acknowledged her at school since seventh grade, after realizing that if she was no fun at home there was no way she'd be at school.

Rui grabbed her coin purse and walked towards a vending machine.

"Ayanakoji-san are you sure that was alright?"

Rui jolted and hid to the nearest corner.

"Of course. That mutt deserves to have his stuff in the pond."

Rui realized that it wasn't her she was talking about. Ayanokoji didn't seem to be mean to just her, was she just a bully?

"What about putting Kitakura's p.e clothes in the toilet. Why suddenly Fujioka-san? Honestly I don't get you. Plus, Fujioka-san is pretty hot."

Ayanokoji made a face."Change of plans. Kitakura can consider herself lucky."

No. Rui didn't want that. She was used to Ayanokoji's silent bullying. That Fujioka will go through the same thing.

"Please don't.."

Rui found herself speaking before she could react.

"What.. did Fujioka do to you?"

Ayanokoji made a smug look. "Are you seriously talking to me? Stupid commoner."

Rui cuffed her fingers into a fist. She wanted to tell her that if she was talking about class, it wasn't like Ayanokoji acted as if she had one.

"Rui is no commoner."

"Yeah, we would know that for sure,"

"Rui lives luxurious."

Rui felt an arm on each of her shoulders.

"Hi-hitachiin-"Ayanokoji was shocked to see them.

"Let's go Rui," says Hikaru.

"Let's go have dinner in Paris."

Rui was surprised as well, but she felt herself following after them. Ayanokoji seeming farther and farther now. And before she turned the corner, she heard Ayanokoji mutter to someone.

"…You'll always be a second-class citizen…"

/

Rui found herself for the first time in her life, in the notorious Host club. She always wondered what it was like to be in here.

The twins would explain how it was and she'd imagine it was like a tea party between male geishas.

She watched the twins in the distance entertaining their guests. Their figures were all she recognized in this room of unfamiliar faces.

"Kya! Teach this commoner a lesson!"

Rui watched as the twins stood up and grabbed the nearest vase, and splashed someone with water.

It was Ayanokoji.

"Haruhi is not that kind of man!"

For the first time in her life Rui watched Ayanokoji run away crying. She felt bad for her in away but she seemed to deserve it.

"Oh! Rui-chan you come here too?"

Rui turned around to a small bobbly redhead.

She blushed and quickly jolted away. "N-no! Im not here.."

She giggled. "Of course you're here silly I see you!"

Rui had never been so emberassed in her life. For Hana to see her here in a place like this, she'll think Rui is that kind of unpopular girl who seeks refuge with host clubs.

"I-i…"

Rui went for the door and then turned around to glance at the twins and they were no where to be found.

/

"Ruiii,"

Rui was shocked to see the twins in ther pajamas, sitting on the window ledge. She quickly covered herself up.

"Today there was a plot twist."

"Fujioka is a girl.. right?" Rui muffles through her covers.

"You cant tell anyone okay,"Kaoru says.

"We didn't get to introduce you too. She had to go look for her books, because she couldn't find them." They said in perfect unison.

Ayanokoji was probably jealous of Fujioka. And it didn't seem like her to bully a boy, and a good looking one at that. She also remembered what she heard Ayanokoji say in the distance.

It all came together.
