I must say that I am surprised by how many people have started to follow this. Now, I must remind you that this is going to go differently from the original story as No-Face is still at Zeniba's. I'm sure that some people are going to ask where Lin is, and that is going to be explained in a later chapter. I wanted to upload this before I went to bed as it's late here, but I was on a roll and hated the thought of stopping. I hope you all still enjoy this as I move along with the story.

...

Snape tried to keep his mouth shut as the toads were complaining bout the thought of being roomed with him. Kohaku didn't make him feel any better when he said that they could boil him and such if he didn't work hard enough. He looked at him in shock while everyone around them smirked at the thought. Snape swallowed heavily at the thought. He certainly hoped that he could keep up if only to avoid being cooked.

"Where's Hibaru?" Kohaku asked.

"What? Me?!" Hibaru exclaimed.

"You had asked for help, had you not?" Kohaku replied.

"That's great! Give the human to Hibaru," One toad exclaimed.

"Well, I guess... I mean... oh," Hibaru groaned as he hung his head. "Follow me." Snape followed Hibaru, if somewhat begrudgingly. "So, what name were you given?"

"Ves," Snape grumbled.

"Ves," Hibaru repeated as he tried the name out. "Congratulations on getting the job. I didn't think you would get if I may be honest."

"Why not?"

"Well sir, you seem the type to have other obligations," he admitted.

"I do," Snape stated, "but I can't get back to them if I disappear, or... something else. This seemed the most logical method."

Hibaru stopped as his ears perked up before he turned and smiled at him, "Oh, well, in that case, good luck to your future endeavors."

Snape was dumbfounded to say the least, but nodded slightly before they continued on. Snape simply watched Hibaru as he guided him to their quarters. When they got there, Hibaru started rummaging through the cupboard before handing him a pair of pants. Snape looked at them in surprise as Hibaru tried to find a shirt that would fit him. He watched as Hibaru pulled out a few of various colors, some that made Snape's lip curl before he pulled out a gray one. Snape sighed as he accepted it, wondering what kind of trouble Potter might be getting himself into by now.

When it came time to sleep, Snape went without a fuss. His night was restless, though as he couldn't relax. By the time morning came, he had given up trying. He was at a complete loss of what to do. How was he supposed to get home? Would he see his students again? Would Potter end up getting himself killed before Snape could get back to the real world? Would Savanah be alright without him? Just what exactly was going to happen to him here? So many questions, and not a single answer seemed to show itself. He wasn't even going to ask if his colleagues, if you could even call them that, had literally turned into pigs as he didn't see much of a difference beforehand. He could almost call it an improvement. He was more concerned about whether or not he could keep himself from being boiled.

It was during these musings that he heard someone enter the room that was now crammed with mats and bodies sleeping on them. Snape pretended to be asleep as this person slowly made their way towards him. He knew who it was when they gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Meet me by the bridge," Kohaku quietly muttered, "I'll take you to your friends." And with that, he left and Snape didn't wait long to follow. "You must make sure not to be caught here. If they find you, you'll be turned into a pig yourself."

"I don't think I'll be visiting more than I should," Snape growled, "only to be sure that they didn't get eaten."

Kohaku smiled over his shoulder at Snape's response as if he found him amusing, but then there were a few that did. When they entered the pig pen, Snape looked at Kohaku to be sure if the two swine in front of them were the ones that were his colleagues. With a quick nod from Kohaku, Snape walked up to them to see them sleeping. Snape leaned against the fence separating him from them. The boar woke up and waddled up to him.

"Look at the trouble you've gotten into now," Snape muttered as he scratched Amycus's nose. "The Dark Lord sent me with you two to keep you out of trouble. Well, we see how well that went."

Amycus went back to his sleep pile and flopped down disturbing his sister in the process as she squealed unhappily. Snape sighed as he pushed himself off the fence before walking out of the pig pen. He walked for a while before he sat down and pulled up his knees to his chest. He sat there sulking when Kohaku walked up to him and sat down as well. He was surprised when he handed him his clothes. He held them in confusion before he noticed a card popping out of one of his many pockets. He pulled it out and slowly read It.

"Severus, while keeping Savanah safe, don't forget to breath and enjoy the little things, Dumbledore," Snape read aloud. "Severus… that's my name. I can't believe I forgot my name."

"That's how Yubaba controls you," Kohaku stated, "Its thanks to a very dear friend that I have been able to remember mine."

Snape looked at him in a new sense of awe. Kohaku handed him a rice bun and he took it trepidatiously. He started eating it and all these emotions flooded through him, mostly aggravation. He knew he must have been gesturing during one of his private rants as Kohaku offered him some more sticky buns.

"Relax, it's going to be okay," he chuckles. "You certainly are a strange fellow. By the way, who is Savanah?"

Snape paused as he heard that name, "She's one of my best friends."

Kohaku smiled upon hearing that, "Then keep your name safe, it might be the only way you can get back to her."

When Snape got back to his room, everyone was putting up their mats. Hibaru called out to him happily. Snape took his mat before placing it back with the others. Hibaru asked where he was and Snape just waved it off with wandering. They both went down to start the work. Snape struggled at first from stiffness, but after keeping at it, he was keeping with the rest of them if not exceeding him.

"Wow Ves, I'm amazed," Hibaru commented, "I didn't know you were so effective at cleaning."

"Don't insult me," Snape said casually, "my mother had me help her clean at times and I insist on cleaning my own office and classroom."

"Hibaru, Ves, boss says that you've get big one," one of the toads yelled.

"What?!" Hibaru exclaimed, "But Ves is not yet qualified for that one!"

"Orders from the top," the toad simply replied.

Hibaru hung his head in defeat as he groaned. Not having any other option, he and Snape gathered their cleaning supplies and made their way to the tub known as "the big one." Snape was floored to say the least when he saw the condition of the tub. It obviously hadn't been cleaned in months as Hibaru growled about it. Snape glared as he heard chuckles from the staff around them. They began cleaning either way as the space slowly started to look better. Snape was mentally gagging while they stood in the sludge while scrubbing the inside of the tub when another obstacle was thrown at them.

"Hibaru, Ves, you've got a customer on the way," the toad called.

"Wait a minute!" Hibaru cried as he slammed the brush into the sludge. "They are clearly looking for an excuse to boil you up. We're going to need a herbal soak token from the foreman."

"Very well," Snape muttered as he started climbing out. He was surprised when Hibaru gave him a boost, but took it gratefully. "Where will I find the foreman?"

Reaching the foreman, Snape wasn't the least bit surprised when he was refused a token. When he was told to scrub it himself after watching the foreman give tokens to the other staff, Snape had had enough of being treated like a second class citizen. He cracked his knuckles much to the foreman's surprise as a smirk appeared on Snape's face.

"Shouldn't that be the herbal soak tokens decision?" Snape implored in a mocking manner as a bundle of them appeared in his hand before he dashed off with the foreman yelling at him. Snape was grateful when he was distracted by the phone or whatever they called it here. When he got back, Hibaru was surprised that he had so many, but took one of them without a word. As soon as the water started to fill the tub, Snape could smell something peculiar and the color, while capable of hiding the sludge, was not pretty.

"Dried worm?" Snape asked.

"Yes, that's very impressive," Hibaru cheered. "Most wouldn't have been able to guess."

"I pride myself on recognizing concoctions such as this," Snape replied casually.

"I think I'll go get us some breakfast, just pull the cord when the tub is full," Hibaru chirped before taking off.

Snape sighed as he watched the tub fill. He turned in mild curiosity when he heard the staff ushering the guests back to their rooms. Why are they doing that? Snape thought, What's going on? He kept watching until he felt something wet, looking down he panicked as the tub overflowed before he pulled the rope to stop it. He slipped when one of the toads called his name. He was glad that he didn't fall into the tub, but he couldn't say the same for his aching backside. He rushed over to the entrance, where Yubaba was waiting for him.

"Ves, we have a customer coming," she growled, waving a stick at him, much like one he would use in a class. "Don't mess this up. Take him to the big tub and take care of him."

"Take care of him? But what if he wants..." Snape implored nervously.

"No 'but's, or I'll turn you into a pig with your friends," Yubaba snapped.

Let a possible monster have it's way with me, or get eaten for supper? Snape thought sourly, Geeh, it doesn't sound much different than the Dark Lord was walking around freely. He sighed as he subjected himself to what may await him. When one of the toads alerted that their customer had arrived, everyone looked at the entrance in baited breath. Snape had wished he had held his a bit longer as the stench caused to him to gag as the customer was about to enter.

"Stop that, you'll insult our guest," Yubaba growled through choked breath. Snape pulled himself together as this monster made completely of sludge crawled in. "Oh look, a valued customer!" Yubaba choked out. What Snape could only assume was an arm creeped out of the body toward them. "Oh look money! Ves, take the nice customer's money." Snape nodded as he stiffly held his hand out. EW! Snape's mind roared as the money fell into his hand as well as some of the slime coating the creature. "What are you waiting for? Get him to the bath."

"Right this way," Snape choked out less obviously than Yubaba. He turned and led the creature to the tub that he had just filled. He could hear Hibaru call out his name as he made his way to the tub. The next thing he heard was Yubaba order the staff to open all of the windows. Snape moved over to the wall as he watched the creature get in, but upon closer inspection, something was off. The tub overflowed as the water turned into sludge. He watched as three bumps slightly appeared and he knew that he could here three moans. "Accio token," Snape muttered before an herbal soak token flew into his open hand, "One moment." Snape struggled through the sludge to the door and placed the token on the wire and yanked before seeing the wall open. He then made his way over to the rope. Unfortunately, as soon as he yanked on it, he slipped and fell into the tub. The water fell as he felt someone lift him up into the flow of the water and then under it as he regained his senses. He looked at the creature to see that it's eyes were closed. He paused when he noticed movement, lots of movement as well as lots of eyes. He gasped as he saw the snakes being washed cleaned. Suddenly, a pair of eyes popped out and raced toward him as this tiny creature jumped into his arms while the gorgon gently placed him outside of the tub while she and the two other gorgons shook the mud off of their heads. He then watched as the one reached and pulled the rope stopping the flow. He could hear the entire staff as well as many guests gasp as the three gorgons were now cleaned and revealed to all before them. Snape looked down at the creature in his arms as it shook the water off to see a tiny dragon in his arms of delicate proportions.

"She is a fairy dragon," the one whispered, pulling out three masks from her bag. She handed the other two one mask before placing one on her face. It was then that she opened her silver eyes, pulling another gasp from Snape. "And who are you?"

"My name is Ves," Snape muttered meekly.

"Mine is Medusa," She replied.

How can that be? Snape thought, Legends have it that you were killed! That means that they are... He looked at the other two, and instantly recognized their eyes from the nightmares he had been having. Sweet Merlin, what is going to happen to me?

...

Snape: You and your gorgons.

MsN: WHAT?! I feel Medusa was dealt a poor hand and that Athena needs to suck it.

Snape: Don't let her hear you say that.

MsN: She's just an immortal, she's not actually a god. Alucard can eat her if she shows her face.

Alucard: Ooh! It's been so long since I've had a 'god.'

Chase: Send her to bed!

MsN: But I'm fine!

Chase: BED!
