Chapter 1

I quickly jumped out of my luscious bed and into the bathroom. I celled my house elf Oakley to draw a bath for me, mint scented. As soon as the water touched the rim of the enormous tub, I dove in, swam a bit and then relaxed, letting the aroma of mint fill my nostrils and sooth my muscles. After half an hour in the bath, I had Oakley drain it for me while I got ready. I put a spell on my long dark brown hair that I had recently highlighted with black and blonde to dry it and make it stay up in a braided headband. I applied concealer and foundation, then powder and contouring to my face. I lined my eyes, and coated my lashes in black. I filled my eyebrows in and checked myself in the mirror. I'm good.

I next went to my closet door, thought about what I wanted to wear and swung it open. Inside, I found a green high-low dress and a black jean jacket. I slipped those on, and to finish it off I slid black boot pumps onto my feet. Then I ordered Oakley to perform the spell that attracts all of my clothes to my three suitcases while I stuffed all of my school supplies, familiar supplies and personal items in a fourth.

"Cato, Pandora, Cyan, come." I said softly and the three animals appeared in the doorway. The snakes wrapped themselves around my wrists, and Cato allowed me to place him in his cage.

"Trixie?" I heard the voice of my sister at the door.

"Yeah?" I turned around and smiled at the beautiful little girl. She had something in her hands, hidden behind her back.

"I want you to take this." She showed me what was in her hands, a photo album. I waved for her to come sit next to me and she opened the book. "Father says this was your first Christmas. And then this is your first New Year," She said, pointing to different pictures. That was in fact my very first Christmas as a Riddle. In the picture Mum and Dad are laughing as I run around in my Santa's Helper outfit. It was such a beautiful moment. "And then when Vik and I were born. And you, holding us. And then-," She rambled on and pointed out every picture in the black leather-bound book.

By the end I was on the verge of tears, and enveloped my little sister in a giant hug. "Thank you so much, Viv. This means so much to me." I kissed her forehead. "I love you."

"I'm going to miss you." She said into my shoulder.

"Yeah? I think I might just miss you a little more." I whispered back.

"Beatrice, we need to leave soon to catch the train." Mum stood at the doorway, holding back tears. I run and embrace her tightly. "I'm going to miss you, sweetheart." She sobbed into my hair.

Five minutes later all of my belongings were in the front foyer, including my owl, Chaos. I gave on last hug and kiss to my sister, my brother and my mum before helping my father load everything into our muggle car. Muggles are extremely useless, but every once in a while they come up with a good idea that us wizards accept.

I gave one last look to my home as Father drove away, sniffing. "Tris, tomorrow you will meet your brother for the first time since Hallowe'en. I have no clue as to what will happen, but I recommend you keep your true identity hidden and avoid him at all costs." He said sadly as he drove.

"Yes, Father." I nodded glumly.

"One more thing, chickpea." He softly stroked my shoulder. "No one knows who I am, not even Dumbledore. So please, for our family's safety-,"

"Dad, I wont tell anyone. I promise." I looked up at him and smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too Trixie." He grinned. Tom Riddle may have been Voldemort, but he was a master of nicknames as well. He called me everything from chickpea to Tris. One time he called me bumblebee. That never caught on though.

Father stopped the car and gave me an encouraging look. He got out, opened my door and helped me out of the muggle invention. Together we summoned a trolley and Father stopped the car in front of King's Cross Station and gave me an encouraging look. He got out, opened my door and helped me out of the muggle invention. He summoned a trolley and loaded all of my luggage and the two cages on top. My snakes were still curled around my wrists, transfigured into bracelets.

Together we set toward Platform 9 and 3/4. I held his warm hand as we ran through the brick wall and exited the other side.

"This is where I leave you, chickadee. Keep in touch, okay?" He blinked back tears. "I love you no matter where you end up, no matter how great or poor your grades are, and no matter who becomes your friends. I love you." I too felt tears fighting to be freed as he hugged me tightly.

"I love you too, Dadda." I sniffed and hugged him back.

"You know that was your first word, don't you?" He pulled away and smiled.

"Oi, Trixie! Come meet some friends!" I heard Draco call from inside the train. I glanced at him and gave him a quick thumbs up before turning back around to my father.

"How could I forget?" I grinned and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Satisfied that I would no longer cry, I turned back around and set off toward the train, my belongings trailing magically behind me. "Draco, save me a seat in there! It's beginning to look like a clown car." I called to my best friend, who's compartment was filling by the minute. Damn rich boy.
