After recruiting Lady Tiki at the Divine Dragon Grounds, The Shepherds decided to make camp in the valley for the night.

The ground's divine beauty beckoned to the soldiers, and if anything would boost troop morale, it would be a night in this peaceful valley.

After helping to pitch the tents and making sure Morgan didn't dig anymore pitfalls, Lucina walked towards a nearby flower patch and plopped herself down, feeling those sleepless nights catch up to her.

Moments of peace were rare for Lucina and the other children from the future, so she always took advantage of them when presented.

In the distance, the princess could hear Owain and Cynthia practicing their heroic titles, and Noire screaming at someone for stepping on her bow.

A rare smile spread across her face, and she soaked in the sounds of her family and friends letting their hair down for once.

Lost in her own world, Lucina didn't notice someone approaching from behind until a pair of lips pecked her cheek.

"Gah!" Lucina was about to unsheathe Falchion until she realized who her 'attacker' was.

"Gods, Inigo! Don't do that!" The blunette glared at the white-haired mercenary, who simply laughed and took a sit next to her. "I could've sliced your head off, you dolt!"

"Ah, but you didn't. Besides, I think you know the difference between a Risen attack and your boyfriend saying hello." Inigo teased, while fiddling with a daisy. "Unless you've been smooching with the enemy, then we will have problems."

"Don't be daft." Lucina chuckled, relaxing once again and gazing out into the valley. "Isn't it beautiful here? Sometimes I forget how beautiful Ylisse was before The Fell Dragon appeared."

"And we are going to keep it that way!" Inigo promised while shifting behind Lucina and taking a few locks of her hair into his hands.

"What are you doing?" Lucina tried to turn around, but Inigo's other hand kept her locked into place.

"Just trust me, darling. Don't worry. I won't butcher your hair. I know how much it means to you."

Lucina scoffed at his taunt, but let the former womanizer have his way and patiently waited for him to finish, albeit with a little bit of fear in her heart.

"Alright! Done." Inigo scooted in front of the princess and held out a mirror. "A job well done I must say."

Lucina gasped and stared at her reflection in the mirror.

Inigo had braided her hair back and weaved the nearby daisies into them.

"I-is this really me?" she breathed, touching her new hairstyle with a feather-like caress.

Inigo smiled and nodded.

"Just like your mother's, right?"

Back in the castle, there stood a portrait taken on Robin's coronation day, with her sporting this same hairstyle.

As a child, and even now, Lucina always wanted to have hair like her mother's, so she made sure to take extra care of it.

A light blush spread over Lucina's cheeks, pleasantly surprised Inigo recalled this minor detail from so long ago.

"Thank you."she grinned, planting a kiss on her boyfriend's lips.

"Anything for you, my princess."
