Pink Rain Chapter Two- Captured
Sakura woke up in the middle of the night, all her senses on high alert. She could feel the two intense chakras outside the tent. Sakura searched for her friend's chakras. She couldn't sense anything. That only meant one thing. The ANBU protecting her were dead. Sakura was all alone.
"Come out girly. We know you're here," a voice called to her from outside. Sakura could smell blood on him. The other person was perfectly still.
Sakura quietly felt around for her medical bag and weapons. She would definitely need it for this fight. Luckily, she found them without any sound and barely any movement and put them around her back and on her hip. While still masking her chakra, Sakura made some hand signs for a teleportation jutsu.
She felt her jutsu working, taking her away from the tent. She landed about thirty feet away on a tall tree branch. Suddenly she felt a presence behind her. Sakura whipped around to come face-to-face with Uchiha Itachi.
Her survival instincts kicked in. Sakura pushed away from the tree branch with chakra enhanced strength. She easily landed in the clearing below, checking all around for the other person she guessed was Kisame Hoshigiri. She saw him behind her and turned around, her body tensed, ready for attack. His sword samehada was over his shoulder, ready for attack.
"Hello there girly," Kisame said. Sakura was on high alert, her senses ready. She got into her attack stance, her eyes focused on Kisame. Itachi was hanging back, letting Kisame do all the work. Sakura felt like he was evaluating her skills, seeing what her strengths and weaknesses were. She smirked.
"A little smug, are we?" Kisame taunted her. He smirked too. This was going to be a big battle.
"Okay, I can't beat both of them without help. But I'm not letting them kill me without a fight. I guess this is what all my training and work was for. No holding back," Sakura thought.
Seeing her thinking, Itachi attacked. He ran at Sakura from behind. Sakura swirled around and caught his wrist as he went to punch her. She easily flipped him over her shoulder. Itachi easily landed on his feet next to Kisame.
"My turn," Kisame said. He ran with his samehada and slashed it down on her. Sakura kicked upward with speed Sasuke could only dream of, using a move she copied from Lee. She heard the crunch of Kisame's jaw as her super strength broke it. Without any missions for the past two years, Sakura had been working on her speed. She smiled as Kisame flew back twenty feet.
Sakura saw Itachi just standing there. She focused her attention back on Kisame, who was getting up from Sakura's kick. He ran at her, his sword ready. Sakura kicked the ground, creating a huge crater. Kisame slipped and had to jump out of it, causing him to stop his attack.
Sakura felt a breeze on her shoulder. She whipped around and punched. Itachi was standing right behind her. He caught her punch in his bare hand. Itachi showed no emotion as Sakura's fist broke every single bone in his arm. She pushed back, sending herself a couple feet backwards.
Pain erupted in Sakura's back. She looked over his shoulder and saw Kisame was standing behind her, his sword bloody. Too late Sakura realized it was her blood. She easily whipped around and punched him in the stomach. Her chakra entered his system, easily rendering him unconscious. Kisame hit a tree and landed on the ground. He didn't move again.
Itachi walked over to Sakura, who was kneeling on the ground. He grabbed her by the neck, earning a small choke from her. He threw her against a tree. Sakura glared at him while he held her there, her eyes concentrating on his forehead protector to avoid his mangekkyou. Itachi's face was completely blank, no emotion whatsoever.
"Uchiha," Sakura choked out. "What do you want," she growled.
"You," he answered. He threw her aside like a rag doll. Sakura hit the ground and rolled a few feet away.
Sakura stood up in her defensive stance, ready for his attack. Against Uchiha Itachi she has almost no chance. He was definitely stronger than her.
She looked at his feet to avoid his mangekkyou. If she got caught in it, she was over.
Sakura didn't even have time to react. One second he was in front of her and the next everything went black…
Itachi looked down at the young girl in his arms. She caused a lot more trouble than he would have guessed. He couldn't feel his arm that was holding her by the neck. When he touched her, her chakra entered his system and cut off his entire arm's chakra circulation.
Obviously she was stronger than Itachi expected. Itachi was never wrong, but she changed things. He was wrong about her.
Itachi walked over to his fallen partner. Kisame groaned as he tried to move.
"Pathetic," Itachi said. Kisame didn't say anything as he blacked out.
Itachi sighed and picked up his unconscious partner. He threw Kisame over his shoulder, careful not to break any more bones. Finally, he made some hand signs and disappeared into the night.
Sakura woke up, her head throbbing with pain. She checked all her vital signs and appeared to be fine. Her chakra was low and her back had already started to heal. It looked weeks old rather than days.
She heard someone open the door. Sakura looked and saw he one person she hated more than anyone right now.
Itachi walked in. He came towards her, stopping a few feet from where she was sitting.
Sakura lunged at him, but her wrists snapped back, causing her to land on the floor. She realized she was chained to the wall. She continued to pull forwards, the chains stopping her inches from Itachi's face.
Itachi smirked. This kunoichi was more spirited than he thought. Another miscalculation, but he'd fix that. It would be fun breaking her.
"Let me go you bastard!" she was yelling at him.
"You're a captive of the Akatsuki, so shut up," Itachi said.
Sakura glared at him. "So, what am I here for?" she asked sarcastically, sitting and leaning back, crossing her arms.
"I'm sure you'll figure that out yourself," Itachi said. He tossed an apple to her.
Sakura caught it, warily. She doubted it was poisoned, but she couldn't be sure.
"It's not poisoned," Itachi said, as if he could sense her thoughts. Sakura took a hesitant bite. After a few seconds, she wasn't dead, so she quickly ate the whole apple.
Her head felt heavy and her eyes were tired. Too late Sakura realized the apple had a sleep medicine in it. She checked her system and discovered the medicine spread throughout her body. Itachi knelt down, his face inches away from her own. His face swam before her eyes. Darkness came…
Itachi caught Sakura's limp body before she hit the floor. He gently laid her down before exiting. Leader needed his report, and after 4 years, he finally had good news.
