Drakken grumbled curses as he struggled to climb up the rope that had been thrown down to him in his cell which had been recently redecorated with a gaping hole in the ceiling , well it's about time Shego, honestly what do I pay you for? Drakken wondered in his head but was shocked to see two of his henchmen sitting in the hover craft. Pulling himself up he looked around the hovercraft wondering if Shego was just about to hop on after taking the guards out or some other kind of delay. But she didn't.
"Where's Shego?" Drakken asked the two henchmen. The both looked at each other then turned and looked back to Drakken, shrugging their shoulders. Slapping his tiny hand on his forehead he slowly let it slide down his face, maybe she's on one of her holidays again at the most inconvenient of times. I swear when I see her I'm going to have to talk to her about the amount of days off she has.
"Very well, back to the lab. The one in Greenland." That was the last lab Drakken remembered being with Shego at, he remembered because she'd made a very mean comment about his intellect being comparable to a small child.
Although after Shego and Kim Possible's last fight, Drakken wouldn't be surprised if Shego was taking it easy. The thief had a fast healing factor, but having a 200 foot concrete tower fall on top of her was surely to make a dent. Yes that must be it, it's not like Shego to leave me in prison for that length of time.
But as time passed, Drakken didn't interact with the other two henchmen, he didn't plan his next scheme, he didn't plan improvements for weapons. He worried about Shego. Something just didn't seem right. His brain was telling him it was illogical to worry about things that are consequences of wondering and jumping to conclusions.
Drakken let out a heavy sigh, one hand holding his blue head up while he stared out into the night's sky. He was being ridiculous. Shego wouldn't leave him.
"Everything ok back there boss?" One henchman asked.
"Oh just worried about Shego." He said with a careless tone – or as much as he could muster.
"Don't worry about her boss, she can take care of herself." Drakken was about to make a remark on Shego's temper that had caused her to be in a few too many heated situations before, but he held it in. What was the point? It was only fun to taunt if Shego or Miss Possible or the buffoon were there to retaliate. These henchmen didn't know a thing.
Drakken returned to resting his head on his hand while he stared out of the hover jet. He couldn't wait to get back to the lab.
A few hours later –
"Ok boss we're here," the henchman said as he landed the hover jet safely but still with a bit of a bang.
"Careful you buffoon! The insurance for this thing ran out a few months ago." Drakken said in a touchy tone.
"Sorry boss." The henchman said again, Drakken just mumbled some words about incapability and walked around the lab making sure that everything was perfectly scattered around the place. Once done it looked as though the place hadn't been touched, no empty coffee mugs lying around, no shedding of nail files, no sign of Shego being active.
Her jet was still there which caused Drakken to conclude that Shego was here, she loved that jet more than anything in the world. Even when it got blown up by accidental lab self-destruct buttons, she would order new parts and put it back together by herself. It had been a birthday present from Shego – but technically Drakken, to Shego on her birthday. Shego had specifically told Drakken not to bother getting her something, so Drakken gave her a check and told Shego to get whatever she wanted. In this case, a jet.
"Shego! Are you here?!" Drakken called out only for his voice to echo round the facility. Walking into Shego's room he looked around. Bed messed up? Tick. Suits scattered about the place? Tick. Sighing Drakken went back to his room concluding that Shego must have gone out to re stock on food supplies.
The doors slid open and Drakken walked to his closet to grab a fresh set of his blue doctor jacket and trousers, ignoring the pile of mail that had occurred over his period away.
After a shower and changing into his normal clothing, he rolled up and dumped the prison uniform in the bin. He contemplated going through all the mail but thought his bed looked like a nicer choice but there was his mother's voice nagging him in the back of his head.
"Drew Theodor Lipskey if you don't do it now it won't move." One his mother's favourite phrases to use.
Grabbing the pile of letters that were about three inches thick he let himself fall onto the bed as he read the title of each one.
"Bill, bill, bill, insurance renewal, 45% off laser guns, bill-" one caught him off guard. It was a white envelope with "Doctor D." Hand written on the front of it. His curiosity rushed him to tear the envelope open.
It was in Shego's writing.
"Dear Drew,
I don't know when or even if you're reading this, but I'm sorry that I can no longer be of service to you as of 02/03/2015 as your sidekick or your friend due to my own personal conflicts.
The reason I chose to do this in a letter rather than to your face Drakken is because I know you'd try and offer me more money or vacation days or beg me to stay and you'd probably manage to convince me to stay a while longer, but I am so sorry as I cannot go through this anymore.
Please do not feel guilty as it wasn't anything you did that caused me to do this, but my own choices. I couldn't ask you to stop doing what you love which is creating weapons of mass mayhem or whatever the hell you want to call it.
I'll always treasure the memories we have together.
I am truly sorry to say that I can no longer be part of our evil family and I will miss you.
Shego"
Drakken tried to stop the stinging in his eyes but he couldn't. His throat felt swollen and before he knew it, tears were dropping on the paper.
Throwing the mail and the letter off of the bed, Drakken halted when part of the mail made a slight thump sound when it hit the ground. Sniffing, Drakken bent over to reach the hand written envelope, inside it were a set of keys.
The keys to the jet.
Just a quick little thing I thought deserved its own chapter.Thank you to the 2 guests and
