Chapter 2

"Hmph, the nerve of that red plumber getting in my business like that. I don't need him, I don't need anyone, screw them all." said Peach while she was standing out on the balcony of her room, looking out at the horizon. For some unknown reason, Peach had been in a foul mood the whole day like Mario had said. Earlier today, she made rude responses towards everyone who even said one word to her at all. Peach had nearly injured Zelda when she tried to hug her in an effort to comfort her, she savagely attacked Bowser when he made a bad comment about Yoshi's *problems*, and she broke Wolf's arm in two places after he had selfishly pushed her aside and insulted her in the hallway. So far, no one could even tell the real reason as to why she was acting this way.

However, Yoshi and Daisy had their suspicions. They both kept a close eye on her during the past few hours, wondering whether or not if she had the exact same gene as they did. But they could still sense something that was different about her. They always knew her as a peaceful, compassionate and caring individual who would more than willingly help others who were feeling sad or upset. Now she was behaving in a violent, aggressive, almost abnormal manner.

At one point, Yoshi decided to go see her on his own in order to talk to her face to face. He had a feeling that it probably wouldn't go as well as he hoped, but he would have to risk it. After arriving at her room, he knocked on the door.

"Peach, it's Yoshi. I want to talk to you about something." said Yoshi.

"Come in." replied Peach in a calm, soft tone.

While somewhat surprised about her non-aggressive response, Yoshi decided to shrug it off. He turned the knob and then opened the door as he walked in, closing it after doing so.

"Hello Yoshi, what brings you here?" she greeted while walking in from the balcony.

"I just needed to find out if you were feeling alright."

"What do you mean, I'm just fine."

"Don't lie to me, I know something's not right about you. Just a minute ago Mario said you attacked him when he tried to talk to you."

"Oh that, I was just having a bad morning at first. Now I'm all better."

"No you aren't. If I know one thing, I saw you lifting him in the air by his throat. That's not normal."

At this rate, Peach became defensive.

"Why are you suddenly getting on my case?"

"I want to know why you acted the way you did earlier. Something's up with you, and I'm not leaving until you tell me."

Peach could only chuckle in a low tone before responding.

"Why waste time on this subject when we could just move on to something more different?" she suggested with a seductive tone while advancing towards him.

"What the hell are you talking about?" asked the puzzled reptile.

"No one else told you, did they?"

"Told me what?"

"That deep down I now view you as more than a friend. Since you've changed I've begun to see you in a different light. There's something about you that really draws my attention."

Yoshi was riddled with complete confusion at Peach's sudden change in attitude. He knew it was obvious that she was hitting on him, but he didn't know why. He didn't even have time to wonder as he suddenly felt Peach's arms around his neck and her body up against his.

"Peach, think about what you're doing."

"Oh Yoshi, don't fight it. Just submit, you know it's what you really want."

It was from the second he looked in her eyes did he see something different. Her sky blue eyes were now a much darker and greenish blue with wolf-like pupils.

"Your eyes are different." Yoshi pointed out.

"So, why does that matter to you?"

"You've got the WereWolf gene inside of you."

"Is that really what you want to talk about right now?" she asked erotically before leaning her lips towards his as she attempted to kiss him.

In a quick move, Yoshi pushed her away from him, following up with a serious facial expression.

"Ooh, someone's pissed off." she teased.

"Don't play games with me Peach. You know very well that you shouldn't even have the WereWolf gene at all. You have no control over it."

"Oh, and you do?"

"This is not you Peach, you're not thinking straight. The gene is manipulating your personality, you need help."

But right before he could turn around to leave, Peach suddenly charged up and pinned him against the wall by his shoulders. Despite trying to break loose, Peach proved to be surprisingly stronger than expected.

"Silly Yoshi, how so wrong you are. I love having the WereWolf gene. For your information, I'm not just some dainty and well mannered princess anymore. I'm more stronger, and healthier. Plus, it makes me more in tune with my *inner desires*." she explained in a rather lust driven tone.

"You don't want to do this."

"Oh, I believe I do."

Yoshi didn't have the chance to respond as Peach pressed her lips on his in a passionate kiss. She hungrily forced her tongue into his mouth, licking around the inside. Yoshi was instantly shocked at how Peach was behaving towards him, never before had she ever made a move on him like that. He desperately wanted to get out of this current situation, yet for some reason his body would not allow it. He instead found himself returning the kiss with equal passion.

After loosening her grip on his shoulders, Peach allowed Yoshi to wrap his arms around her waist and hold her closer. As they continued to kiss, she began to lead him over to her bed. As soon as they reached it, they fell down onto the mattress, with Peach getting on top. Using the opportunity, Peach raised herself up and instantly took off her pink dress and kicked off her high heels, leaving her in nothing but a bra and panties. She then resumed kissing Yoshi, this time with more passion than before.

But just as they were about to go any further, Yoshi soon came to his senses. Realizing what he was doing, he tossed Peach off of him and got up from the bed, turning around to look at her.

"This is wrong, you know we can't do this." Yoshi said.

"Aw, things were just starting to get interesting." replied Peach as she sat up on the bed on all fours.

"You're talking like you want this when it's obvious that you don't. Your mind is twisted because of the gene, it's making you act like this."

"Oh Yoshi, you are so naive. You say that you're not interested, when actually you're just trying to hold back your true motives. I know, because I can tell."

"SHUT UP ALREADY, YOU SICK MINDED WOMAN!" Yoshi yelled in a rage.

"I know what I'm talking about Yoshi. You can't hide it anymore, it's clear that you want me. Just admit it, you can't resist your urges any longer."

"I SAID...SHUT...UP!"

He rushed straight towards her and tackled her, pinning her to the bed by her throat while protracting his claws from his right hand, with his eyes and teeth becoming monstrous and feral.

"What's the matter, did I strike a nerve?"

"SHUT YOUR MOUTH RIGHT NOW, YOU MUST BE CRAZY IF YOU THINK THAT YOU DESERVE THIS GENE IN ANY WAY!"

"That's it, let it out. Give in, trust your instincts. Let them guide you to what you really want."

"Don't you even dare tell me to trust in my instincts. Doing so made me kill all those people without reason. I won't let it happen again, not ever."

"It seems you've got no other options. You can either give me what I want, or you can just go on and kill me. It's your choice."

Yoshi was beginning to lose his temper even further. The more he heard her speak, the angrier he became with her arrogance and selfishness. Although she had given him two choices, he chose to make a different one.

He relinquished his hold on her and jumped off the bed, retracting his claws while returning his eyes and teeth to normal. He turned around to head for the door, but not without taking one last look over his shoulder to face Peach, who looked back at him with a sly smile on her face.

"I won't forget this Peach. I swear on it." he told her.

"Neither will I, Yoshi." she responded before winking.

After that, Yoshi opened the door and left the room, closing it on his way out. As he went walking down the hallway, Yoshi began to think about what had happened just a minute ago.

"I just don't understand. How did Peach even get the gene, who could have bitten her?" he wondered to himself.

Meanwhile...

Daisy was outside standing in the garden area of the mansion, looking up at the cloudy sky. She had a lot on her mind at the moment, and so far she was trying really hard to forget about it. But all that went through her head were the tragic thoughts of all the lives she had took as a monster. The more she thought about it, the more guilty she felt.

However, her thoughts were interrupted when she sensed a familiar presence. She turned around to meet face to face with Yoshi.

"So, did you find out if Peach had the WereWolf gene?" asked Daisy.

"Yes, I did. It turns out she does have the gene. Though I'm not sure how she got it." said Yoshi.

"Did anything unusual happen?"

"Nothing much, other than the fact that she tried to come on to me."

Daisy's eyes became wide with shock at what she had just heard.

"What, that's insane. Why would she do that?"

"It's because of the gene, that's why. I tried to reason with her, telling her that the gene was manipulating her brain, but she just wouldn't listen to me. To further complicate this matter, she had the nerve to pin me against the wall and kiss me."

"Are you serious?!"

"Hell yes I'm serious. Apparently she claimed that her gene made her more in tune with her inner desires."

"Inner desires, you mean like she was sexually active?"

"Yes, but I don't understand though. Earlier she was aggressive with Mario and everyone else, but the moment I came around, she acted all friendly, flirtatious and lustful."

"Maybe how she behaves depends on who she interacts with. I think the reason she was being romantic towards you is because since you already have the gene, she instinctively sees you as a mate."

"A mate?"

"Uh huh."

"She wants me to be her mate?"

"Yeah, that's right."

"I see."

"Now you know the reason."

"But first, I need to be clear on something. The part about where I mention Peach coming onto me and kissing me. I may have left some things out."

"Like what?"

"Like the fact that when she kissed me, I gave in to her."

"You what?!"

"I don't know why, but it's like something inside of my body just forced me to give in."

"Did anything else happen?"

"Yeah, I-"

"Go on."

"I almost-"

"Just say it, come on."

"I almost mated with her."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. But I stopped myself at the last minute."

"What did you do after that?"

"I tried reasoning with her again, but she instead just flat out told me to trust in my instincts. She just made me so mad that I nearly attempted to kill her. However, rather than feeling threatened, she told me to either give her what she wanted or kill her. I chose neither of them and I walked out after that."

Daisy took the time to process this information wisely. She had known Peach for years ever since they first met, but now she was beginning to suspect whether or not if she could trust her any longer after what Yoshi told her.

"This is very strange. I never thought that just one change in her genes would make her this way."

"Of course, but the others don't know that. I couldn't say the same about Bowser and Wolf. She beat Bowser so badly that he may be in a hospital bed for who knows how long. And Wolf's arm was so horribly broken that it might be in a cast for a month or more."

"She seems a lot like you." Daisy said.

"What do you mean?"

"If I remember, back when you first got the gene from me, you were just as violent and aggressive towards everyone as she is now."

"Please don't remind me. I'm still trying to forget that."

"Pretty hard, isn't it?"

"Yeah, you could say that."

After they finished their talk, Yoshi and Daisy decided to head back inside. But just as they were heading for the entrance, they caught a glimpse of Peach walking by. She stopped for a brief second to look directly at them, flashing a cocky and arrogant smile before continuing on her way.

But after a while, they chose to forget about it and move on.

Later...

Daisy sat alone in the kitchen, drinking some soda after having just recently eaten some lasagna for lunch. Yoshi was there with her about a minute ago, but he recently left to go for a walk in the park.

"I still don't understand why Peach has suddenly changed because of some altered genes. But since Yoshi told me about what she tried to do to him, I can't help but feel suspicious of what she might do next." she said to herself.

But she was disrupted from her solo time by a sadistic feminine giggle. She turned her head to see Peach leaning against the entrance with her arms crossed, with a smug look on her face.

"You are so pitiful, you know." said Peach.

"Hmph, that's funny. I don't recall even asking for your opinion!"

"My my, someone's being a little hostile. I wonder why."

"Don't start that damn stuff with me. You can't fool me Peach, I know everything about what's going on with you."

"Whatever do you mean by that?" she asked with sarcasm.

"I'm being serious here you stuck up diva. Yoshi told me about how you tried to force him into mating with you."

"You actually think I tried to force him into it. If I remember not too long ago, he actually started to give in to my charms. If only Yoshi trusted his instincts, he would have been all over me in just a second."

"Just listen to yourself. You are sick, undeniably and unbelievably sick!"

"Or maybe you're just jealous."

"Jealous, what the hell makes you think that I'd be jealous of a selfish bitch like you?!"

"I think it's clear to me that you really are jealous. Because in actuality, you want Yoshi just as much as I do. But I know that I've got just as much of a chance with him as you do. That is, if he ever wises up to his *true potential*."

In a fit of rage, Daisy let loose by brutally punching her in the jaw, knocking her to the floor. She soon grabbed her by the collar of her dress and brought her up face to face.

"SHUT THE HELL UP. YOU'VE GOT NO FUCKING BUSINESS BRAGGING LIKE YOU'RE BETTER THAN EVERYONE, BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT!" she shouted with fury.

But Daisy was caught off guard when Peach grasped her tightly by the throat and lifted her up in the air. She licked away the blood on the side of her mouth and looked up at her. With a sinister smile, she punched Daisy straight in the gut, which sent her flying out of the kitchen and slamming against the wall.

Just before she could get up, Peach pinned her down with her high heeled foot, before leaning down until she was close to her ear.

"Very clever, I'll give you that. But if you ever attack me again, I assure you that I won't be in a such a jolly mood." she whispered in a soft, but aggressive tone.

After that, she released her and went walking off. As soon as she was gone, Daisy stumbled to her feet. She clutched her gut due to the pain she endured from Peach's punch. Although it wasn't major, it was still enough to make her nearly fall to her knees. She maintained her balance enough to go walking down the hall towards her room.

"This is so unbelievable. The gene couldn't possibly make her that powerful. She's about as strong as Yoshi is, even stronger than me." she thought.

Currently...

Yoshi was sitting underneath a tree in the park after having decided to relax for a while from his walk. It was now beginning to rain, but he didn't care. All he wanted was to be by himself.

The whole time he sat there, he was still constantly thinking about the past incidents from before. This was something he just couldn't forget. This was the exact same place where he made his first kill during that one night.

"Curse that Kara. I didn't even want to live like this, now thanks to this damn gene I can't get over all this guilt. And now she expects me to join her pack because of it, big whoop." said Yoshi to himself.

But then he thought of something. Instinctively, he felt that he could go to where he could find more answers.

And he was going to do so, even if it took all day and night. Rising to his feet, Yoshi started to head off in the Southeast direction, exiting the park through said direction. As he ran along, he started to pick up speed until he began to change his running posture.

This was further exemplified when he suddenly started running on all fours, like a wolf. As soon as he was outside the city, he began moving across the land at full speed. His WereWolf senses were telling him that he was just about 10 miles away from his designated location. But he could already sense other Werewolves for miles, which meant he was heading in the right direction.

"I'm getting closer, I can feel it. As soon as I get there, I'll see for myself what Kara's Wolf Clan is really like." he said.

But little did he know that Kara herself was currently watching him from afar as he went along. A small smile appeared on her face, followed by a chuckle.

"Interesting. His gene has really matured, I'm impressed." she said before heading off.

Back at the mansion...

Lucario was busy in his room meditating on the bed. Out of everyone in the mansion, he was the most suspicious about Peach's sudden change in behavior. He was well aware of the fact that she had the WereWolf gene, but he chose to bide his time for a little while longer before deciding on confronting her.

But he had a feeling that it would happen sooner or later.

"Meditating again, huh Lucario?" greeted Peach who came wandering in the room.

Lucario just stayed the way he was. He didn't even look her in the eye, nor did he open his eyes either.

"A well mannered person would be more wise to knock before entering someone's room." he said with a quiet tone.

"It's always the same with you. You just sit around, doing nothing but meditating and whatnot. Honestly, you should focus more on being active rather than spend time alone. You know, I heard that solitude is bad for your social life."

"My social life is fine. The reason I'm always alone is because it gives me more time to myself."

She chuckled in a smug manner before speaking again.

"Oh Lucario, you and your humor. It's really amusing, I might add."

Suddenly, he started to get more serious. After finally opening his eyes, he turned to glare at her.

"That's a lot of talk coming from a WereWolf."

"Excuse me?"

"You think I don't know that you've got the gene, not to mention all the rotten things you've done?"

"What the hell are you talking about?" she asked arrogantly.

"I'm referring to how you brutally assaulted Bowser and Wolf, you nearly hurt Zelda, attempted to seduce Yoshi and you had a confrontation with Daisy in the kitchen."

"Oh, those. I had almost forgotten that you can read and sense people's aura, like mine for example."

"This is serious. Your mind is corrupted by the gene, you have no means of controlling it properly."

"Again with that. I am so freaking tired of hearing about how I can't control what I do, when clearly I can. First Yoshi and Daisy brought it up, and now you."

Lucario suddenly became angry.

"I'm not kidding around Peach. Either you do something about this, or I will!" he said with a threatening tone.

"Oh yeah, and what will you do if I don't?" she remarked aggressively while glaring at him with feral eyes.

Lucario remained unfazed as he continued to glare at Peach intensely, all the while she did the same. But after a while, Peach just walked out of the room in a huff without even looking back. The second she was gone, he went back to his meditation.

Three hours later...

Yoshi had finally came to a stop in front of a massive, ominous wood area. He could tell that he was at the right place as he could detect the presence of others who shared the same gene as him.

"Well, here it is. Now to get some well deserved answers." Yoshi said before he went into the woods.

During his wandering, he observed the surroundings all around him. He made sure to keep a close eye out just in case if something or someone would try to sneak up on him. Though however, he was not aware that someone was watching him from the darkness with anticipation. As the rain continued coming down, Yoshi merely ignored it and moved on.

Meanwhile a savage creature watched him quietly, growling softly. Fortunately, it was enough to draw on Yoshi's attention, followed by him retaliating with a more aggressive growl. He took immediate caution, preparing for the right time to defend himself.

At that very moment, a WereWolf suddenly lunged out of the darkness and tackled Yoshi to the ground. The beastly creature snarled at Yoshi and glared down at him, restraining him by his throat.

Tapping into his own prowess, Yoshi fought back by kicking the WereWolf off of him, standing up and snarling back with advanced aggression. His eyes turned feral and his teeth grew razor sharp as he bared out his claws. He was on the verge of going through another transformation into a WereDino.

But before either of them could make a move, they were halted by a much louder and more savage roar that echoed throughout the woods. Then out of nowhere, Kara dropped down in the middle of their confrontation. She stood in front of Yoshi while facing the WereWolf, who immediately ceased it's ferocity upon looking her in the eye. Backing away, the WereWolf turned away and ran off.

She then turned to face Yoshi, whom had returned to normal.

"I see you decided to pop by for a visit." she commented with a smirk.

"I came here by choice, and also instinct. I take it that WereWolf who attacked me was one of your pack members?"

"Yes. But don't worry about him or the others, they never take kindly to most newcomers."

"I was more surprised over the fact that it ran away when you appeared."

"As the leader of my pack, no one opposes me."

"I wouldn't be too sure about that. I'm a little rebellious and independent if you know what I mean."

"I see. Well once you've seen what the Wolf Clan is like, you just might reconsider."

"Don't count on it."

Yoshi began to follow Kara through the woods. Along the way, he could hear all sorts of howls coming from around him.

"What's with all the howling?" asked Yoshi.

"It's their way of showing respect for one another. It's also how they send a warning to anyone who trespasses, such as rival packs, and in most cases, hunters."

"What, you mean that there are hunters who actually hunt Werewolves?"

"Unfortunately, yes. For many years, members of the Wolf Clan pack have been hunted down and killed by specially trained bounty hunters who only kill those with Lycanthropy."

"I couldn't imagine a hunter like that."

"Well they do come around here frequently. The government always hires them to take down my kind when we go out in the open, which is why we always stay in human form to avoid detection."

"So this means that since I've got the gene, they would come after me too?"

"Yes."

Yoshi didn't want to admit it, but he was actually feeling afraid after what he heard. Up until now, Yoshi had not known that WereWolf hunters even existed. And the very idea of being hunted by them sent a shiver down his spine.

"I don't know what to say Kara. I didn't think your life was this rough."

"As tough as it may be, I have to live with it. Just like how I have to live with the loss of my parents."

"Did a hunter kill them?"

"No, it wasn't hunters. My parents were killed by a rival pack."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"But personal matters aside, I know you came here for a reason. And I'll willingly explain it in due time once we get out of this rain."

Elsewhere...

In a dark and creepy forest, a hunter was prowling through the area, keeping an eye out for signs of danger. But he wasn't just any ordinary hunter, he was a world renown bounty hunter named Mike Billiard. He had a long history of hunting down, capturing and even killing Werewolves, having survived in every single encounter with only a few minor scratches, including the three scars on the left side of his face.

Aside from this, he was also ruthless, cold and very well organized. He was a man in his mid 30's, with a rugged beard. He had on a utility belt which was equipped with a silver dagger, smoke grenades and a pocket knife, along with other things. He also had a sword which was tucked in the scabbard on his back. His clothing consisted of a brown leather jacket, dark green pants, black boots, and a cowboy hat.

"This'll be the biggest hunt of a lifetime. I've slain more Werewolves than any hunter could count. There ain't one beast around here that can take me down." he said to himself.

As he went along, an unknown being was following him through the darkness of the forest, watching with killer intent.

"No one trespasses in my forest. This man will pay with his life." said the being with an ominous, aggressive tone.

Well, here's Chapter 2 at last. Sorry for the long hiatus.

So far, the truth has been revealed. Yoshi and Daisy now both know that Peach has the same Werewolf gene as they do, but they don't know how she got it, of course Daisy is currently unaware that it was her who bit Peach in the previous story.

Plus, they've noticed that she's behaving a lot like Yoshi himself did when he first got the gene. Aggressive, violent, easily angered, threatening and arrogant, as well as selfish. Yoshi's gone off on his own to find out more about Kara and her pack, the Wolf Clan. On the other hand, a cold and world renown Werewolf hunter named Mike Billiard is out on the hunt for some fair game. But he's currently trespassing through someone's territory, and that someone is not very pleased.

I know there isn't any horror related material in this chapter, but they're will be in the next one. In the process, we'll find out more about the identity of the Werewolf whose been wreaking havoc within the city.

Plus, I plan to make a prequel story which will center on Daisy and her early escapades as a Werewolf. The story will be called *Terror Of The Werewolf*.

Until next time, later folks.
