A/N I think at times Devan doesn't like Jordan for whatever reasons so I'm incorprating that. I'm taking some liberties with charactizations partly because I've only been watching the show for a few months and partly because I don't know the characters all that well. The French is taken from BabelFish because I do not speak or read French.

Chapter 2

Devan's POV

It was suppose to be my day off. I had only stopped by the morgue to pick up the papers I had forgotten last evening. But Dr.Macy had seen me and asked if I could speak French since my mother lives in Paris. I couldn't exactly lie to him, I'm hoping he offers me a position at the morgue at the end of my residency, so I told him yes. He told me to catch up with Jordan and go with her and Woody on a case. So I did and now I'm stuck in the car with Woody yelling at the traffic and Jordan, well, I don't know what Jordan's problem is today but it probably has something to do with her father leaving, something I'm not even suppose to know about but the morgue grapevine works pretty well.

"Okay, Maguire. Tell me what that sign says up there." Woody pointed at a street sign.

I squinted at it through the rain. "That's Avenue De Apple or Apple Avenue." I told him.

"Thank you," he made a sharp right turn down the street. "Jordan, can you read these directions and tell Devan back there what to look for?"

"I can try but these are in English, the signs are in French." Jordan took the paper, probably thinking she was funny with that comment.

"Yeah, so? Devan will know what to look for, right?" Woody asked me.

"Easy enough." I said. Who knew that being fluent in French would ever help me in Boston?

"Let's see, the next street is Smith." Jordan read.

I looked out the window, looking for Smith, actually kind of bored with this case and it hadn't even begun yet.

OK, I wanted Devan's part to be longer but it just seems to stop here. Next up is Jordan (I think, might change). I am sorry the chapters are so short, short chapters always annoy me, not just in writing but in reading too. I'll try to make them longer
